I just watched your second episode of the Vintage Spotlight podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am a vintage collector with about 25 high quality vintage cards primarily from the key sets. Your discussion of the Cracker Jack cards was very interesting. I collected in the early 80's and purchased the factory set of the 1915 Cracker Jack set for about $5000. In the early 90's I sold the set for about $65,000. Bad decision! I have subsequently obtained the Cobb, Wagner, Mathewson and Johnson. I saw the note on Net 54 regarding the get together at the National at noon on Friday for all Cracker Jack collectors. I look forward to meeting you then!

Great episode guys Really enjoyed your guest and the conversation. Really hope to see this channel grow rapidly and get the views it deserves. I listened to the podcast of this episode on spotify last friday but much preferred the CZcams visual version of the show.

Jim Gilliam segment was excellent. That’s why vintage card collecting is so great.

I don’t think that it matters on a rare card like a 1914 Cracker Jack if it is SGC or PSA - prewar SGC was always regarded as the expert. We all have VCP and compare the 4 for sale with the 4s that sold and adjust bids accordingly. I pay up for nicer cards (though I am not in the market for $100K cards). Will unlikely ever buy a 1914 and get more 1915s since they are cheaper because of the ability to buy the full set. I just bought my first 1915 a few weeks ago - a PSA 4 Chief Bender and it is beautiful so will get more.
