I like watching videos of when you go to auctions or auction your stuff, they are really enjoyable to watch :)
Some beautiful vintage cars. Thanks for sharing the experience.
Thanks for posting this, Alex. It really gives me such a surreal experience like I'm actually at an auction without me having to be there. I have anxiety and get anxiety attacks in crowds like these, preventing me from doing cool things like this. It means a lot that you post these things to people like me who enjoy auctions and collectibles but can't actually go. Keep up the great work! Love from Texas.
Alex Jarvis had a nice collection. That first auctioneer is good. Whoever bought the Honda for $20,000 made a good investment! Wish you could have got that McLaughlin for $6,500. The Steam engine is awesome! Don't see them at action to often. Thanks for sharing this auction, we really enjoyed it.
My pleasure!
This was so much fun. I loved the old cars that actually had beautiful lines. I appreciate the fact that people like yourself appreciate quality and sturdy craftsmanship. Today’s plastic will never last as long as these beauties have.
Thanks for bringing us along.
Auction fever there's nothing like it lol .... loving these videos.
Wow $36k for the locomotive! We enjoy watching all your junk yard and auction vids:) Your vids have all the right ingredients.. congrats on 23,000 subs!
appreciate you watching!
I was looking for that auctioneer. Love it and love the old vehicles.
Thanks Alex for excellent video, both parts are fabulous....
Thanks Syed! It was such a nice day out to be at an auction sale!
Excellent video, clear and steady picture. That was real fun, thanks.
Now that was a fun auction to watch! That Buick you were bidding on was a beaut! And the online bidder was a serious woman!
the guy on the PA is Mr. Norm Mack of Mack Auctions. So surreal seeing people I know walking around in the video
I enjoyed this. the old cars are do cool. even though I don't know anything about them. still enjoyed it.
...great auction, thanks!
..sad ,collect all your life and it's only worth cash to the heirs, proves you can't take it with you..if it's on the net,be prepared to pay big bucks for the premium units..thanks for taking me along for the ride..
Glad you liked it Bob!
This is so interesting. Western Canadian cars last a lot longer. In Nova Scotia, with the salt air, they just rust away. Some very nice cars for restoration. Love to our Western Canadian brothers and sisters from Nova Scotia.
Dude that hat looks great on you! Really enjoy your channel!
After I brought a 4th vehicle (1952 Dodge M37 Power Wagon), my wife drew the line on vehicles..... I need a silent auction, I couldn't listen to that all day.
Oh I don’t mind the auctioneers rambling on, reminds me of when I would go with my dad as a kid :)
First time at auction! Wow, so exciting! Really goes fast. From So. Cal., USA, and going through a Heat Wave right now!
Wow very good auction company.plenty of help. A great crowd. Auctioneers were on spot getting the bids. I am a retired Auctioneer. Just like it use to be on the old days. Thank you.
The 38 Buick went for $9,500! It needs a full restoration. The White steam tractor is only worth about $6000 and sold for $36,000!
Great filming.
Thanks for the great video of the sale. I watched some of the auction live online. That 53 Meteor at $250 was a steal of a deal I would have loved to take home.
Was a great price!
Nice coverage on that auction. Thanks
LOVED watching the auction!
that was fun to watch. I know some find auctioneers annoying, and some are, but this one was actually kind of relaxing to listen to haha. Almost felt like i was there. Great fun to see how much some of those prices climbed to.
Thanks for a great auction !!! Love Your Channel !!
Thanks! You guys keep watching and I’ll keep making videos :)
Wow i love Auctions, while i was watch i noticed the phone number on the auctioneers bus its an estevan phone number. The last time i was at an auction was 5 yrs. Awesome video.
when collections are auctioned off that's a great way to find a treasure for cheap in a lot of cases everything will have to go and if there's tons of stuff it is very likely that a lot of buyers will be broke by the second half of the auction simply because they bought things they didn't want in the first place I got some real treasures that way just stick it out till the end
good plan!
We had some of those cars when I grew up.
9 hour's yes you did drive a long way but that's how you find things not just by staying at home my antiques store by my home people bring stuff to him to buy his store is filled up he gets a lot of people just looking when I go in they give me attention because I seem to always come out of his store with something because they get new inventory all the time.
New inventory is key!
George White's Grandson "John" gave me my first job in 1969.
you should have bid on the 1918, it has been by far the best so far. and better than 10,000, if it had the top, which seems it did. The engine on those has brass, as well as a lot of attachments outside. the brass could be shined, to really be an eye catcher.
That was in Canadian funds too! So more like 7k us
ALL THINGS TO DISCOVER ARE SO AMAZING THANKS TO YOUR GOD WILL TO ALL PEOPLE LIKE ME THAT APPRECIATE YOUR WORK SO MUCH..THANKS ALEX🌟 FOR BE A GREAT ONE IN THIS GREAT DISCOVERIES...💖👍
Appreciate your positivity Harry!
Love this video - sorry you missed out - like being in the auction myself - would have liked to see what the auctioneer looked like. Thanks.
Thank you for the videos
Nice vids thanks!
I guess it doesn't matter if you go to an auction in Canada or the U.S. Auctioneers all sound the same. Scarry thing is that I've been to enough of them that I understand what they are saying. LOL.
I don’t mind the auction banter, much different then UK a auctions where they just talk normally :)
High prices were paid for these vehicles considering the huge amounts that will have to be spent to restore them. Rusty, damaged bodies, an overhaul to the running components including the engine and gearbox, re-upholstering, replace missing glass, lighting and instrument repair. Most of these vehicles weren't the ultimate classics either. And oh yes! that annoying auctioneer, if I were bidding, it would be hard to follow his price increments.
You should stick to dealerships then and soft bunnies to cuddle with, sounds like you could use one
Those vehicles were in amazing shape for the most part, for their age, no visible rust.
Wish there was more footage of the JI CASE car. Possibly the rarest unrestored car sold in US in years.
I wanted that wall of license plates! Never been to a auction that big. They just don't have them here! I did pick up two scrap cars this weekend from a little house estate for parts
What kind of cars did you get?
I have antique cars for sale
Cool old cars 👍🏻
That was fun!!
I can never understand Auctioneers...
The Essex #4 was an incredible deal at $4750..
I liked #11 the Packard, but I thought 13K was high..
Had no idea #13 wuz a Honda..
record his voixe and slow it down, then you hear they are repetitious
As soon as the auction began, I went for double speed video. Quite amusing!
Yes that's what I thought also, the steam engine wouldn't fit in your garage Alex lol.
LOL Everyone was there but me it seems!!
Wow, I can't believe how cheap some of the cars were!
if hes watching today he would say???get the hell off my property!!!
I hope you make millions, you are going to need it.
great show auction
Ohhh I heard about this auction! It would have been interesting to go look but seems like what I heard about it after was about right - people were going nuts and spending far more than what the cars were worth.
Do they do walk thru's on all these cars for people on the internet or are the bidding on one view at time of auction? I know you got to walk thru and look.
I can not believe that the S600 went for that kind of money. I have seen mint immaculate ones go for far far less than that!
That looks like a auction that I would love to be at.
Trust me. Buy a restored car! It’s cheaper inthe long run
Agreed! Just pay attention to the work done. Lots of bailing wire restos out there.
Better than "American Pickers"! Way less BS!
Thanks Michael!
I like both
Guessing a good percentage of that auction went for four figures plus....I'm thinking the old guy in the light blue coveralls, leaning against the steam engine, was wanting it but, 30Gs was his cap as he walked away at that point. Honda went for a little more than I was guessing. That motorcycle car kind of looked like a Bricklin in the front. I was thinking how cool it would be to swap out the Kawasaki with a Harley.
Auctions like these are only for the very serious rich "hunter" guys, and not for the common man.
Hi Alex. Thanks for another great video! I have been to several auctions here in the UK but get the "fever" much too quickly! One thing about US/Canadian auctions, I would not be able to handle the auctioneer "signing" the bids and the "bid touts" shouting, I had to mute the volume just to watch the video! UK auctions are very civilized, you won't go home with a headache!!!
Our auctioneers put on a show :)
Really.. I love the US/Canada auctions.. It is a skill to be able to handle the madness..
I believe not only does the steam box on an old steam tractor need to be certified, but the operator has to be certified in steam engines as well.
Yes you’re right, in most cases these become expensive lawn ornaments
Makes you wonder how many people had buyers remorse after the fact. :)
That model T dont care about a flat tire. Just put on a wagon wheel and off you go.
Great coverage Thanks Alex The honda and electric cars prices surprised me
Electric columbias always bring big money, I
I'd love one, fit it with a Tesla drive line... the greenies LS swap.
Cool
Nice auction.
The auctioneer speaks in tongues .God bless
Just awesome
Thank you Alex again! I really liked this one. I have not been a auction for 20 years. In my mind I was trying to buy several cars. Lol! My Dad was addicted to auctions...did your Dad owned a antique store too?
My parents didn’t collect too much, my Dad liked old cars but I’m the only nut in the family to take it this far :)
Lol!
Curiosity Incorporated i guess im not alone then im the only nut in my family to be obsessed with antiques and hoard old cars and trucks 😂 fixing up a 1956 international pick up currently
Very interesting
I know exactly what you mean I've done that the only thing I'm the oppsit I regret not buying something I look back now and tell people I could have own it.
Nice video
But what how is the progress going on your mercedes ambulance?
Greets from belgium
We sold it, was too rough. Bought a Pontiac Ambulance instead :)
Hello from Deland, Florida.
Hi Colin!
YEEEERP~ ! He was there ?
An amazing amount of money was taken in today!
It would be good if you could put clickable links in the, Show More, part of the vid descriptions.
$36,000 for yard art?. Someone has crazy money!
I guess restored they are over 100k but would probably cost another 50-60k to get it there
Curiosity Incorporated im betting it gets restored or returned to servicable status at the least. Most of the guys that hunt them can rebuild them, get them recertified too. There are only so many to be bought, there are many more enthusiasts than tractors. Some of that early stuff (cars)seemed too cheap. Thanks for sharing
Oh, I don't know about that. I live just a few miles from one of the largest annual steam engine gatherings in the country (US) and those things (100's of them) are still well loved and working!
thx....enjoyed the auction...maybe my '37 is worth some money after I'm gone. Question: Why do so many people just linger if you are not going to bid? just curious
Good question! I think they were bored farmers and this was entertainment
They like to see what things sell for. I have been to many, linger, and have bought nothing.
The McLaughlin looks like the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Car
The traction engine would have looked nice in your drive....
I like those auctions, but crowds turn me off. I like all the people that stand around the car they like and never bid. lol
I was trying to bid and there were a bunch of guys just watching g all around the car... didn’t matter in the end since I lost :(
I hear Jay Leno was one of the online bidders
lol wonder if it was your honda :D
I can smell the mold.
I guess it's good for the sellers, but I don't like when they accept orders off the internet. Seems sneaky somehow. I've stood out in the sun for too long at auctions to have to bid against someone home on their couch.
You're just upset that you stood out in the sun that whole time but failed to realize you could have been home on your couch like the other guy
ok tks again
LETS KEEP THAT ...POST...OFF THE CARS..
The boots too!
It's interesting to see them Auctioning OFF an Electric CAR from 1915.......evolution?
Yes ,Henry Ford wanted to push America/The world towards all electric cars moving forward, but the New York bankers and the oil companies of the time banded together to try and sabotage him and others with similar aims. He seethed and even wrote a book admonishing them, Look it up, very interesting .
Some of the cars that are on property's you go and look at I would love to have
Cool
Alex - were the prices in Canadian dollars or US dollars?
If I was a buyer on the number 10 car (1 after the Case) I would be annoyed with the guy standing on the bumper.
PS. Cars by junkyard ok?
I'm curious to know how the hell do you move that huge steam engine?
Semi truck with a lowboy trailer, they unhook the front of the trailer and drive the steam engine right on.
Alex, have you ever ran across a Tucker?
Came across an engine once but it wasn’t for sale :(
Canadian auctions are scary
Wonder what the pot was🤔
😊
Some real suckers to pay that kind of money
Freaking steam engine!!
who is the guy in the white shirt who keeps yelling during the bids?
Ring man. There are a few of them if you watch close. They watch the crowd and when someone raises their hand or nods they yell out so the auctioneer can hear them. Bid takers is another name they're called.
ZGOOD LUCK
Typical Saskatchewan hoard. Note the demographic an older crowd. Problem most people now want muscle cars. The Honda was a rare sought after high mark for sure. Problem with cars the labor never is as high as what can be earned doing other work. It's a labour of love.
how can bid
The auction has ended
