@CanonUSASupport When are you going to fix the image handling of this software? It is impossible to get a circular image to sit properly on the disc using your software - there is a resizable box, and a zoomed version of the image inside that box which is a pain to resize.. Edit: I found a solution! You have to select a template from the start menu (one with flowers on or something), then select your own image. If you start with a blank disc then import your cd artwork you'll have to resize it manually, which is _impossible._
I bought this printer specifically to print labels directly onto printable CDs (not sticky labels). I do not like the Easy PhotoPrint Editor software; I use Photoshop Elements 2020 to design my own labels. My question is: what is the size of the image area from which I would print the label? Would it be 4.72" x 4.72" (standard CD area) or is there some different template to use?
Hi! To get the best results from your PIXMA TS702 and to take advantage of all of its features, we recommend installing the customized software on the included CD. If you're unable to use the CD, you can download all of its contents for free at canon.us/gtzh9 We hope this helps!
Hi! Since the PIXMA TS5150 is not supported by Canon USA, we're unable to provide information specific to it. Its North American counterpart, the PIXMA TS5120, is not equipped for CD/DVD printing. For information specific to your model, we recommend contacting the Canon company that serves the country or region your printer was intended for. You can find them by visiting canon.us/globalsupport and clicking on the map. Hope this helps!

If your ink absorber is full, you'll want to reach out to support for options. Our US-based team is available weekdays from 8am to 8pm (ET) at 1-800-OK-CANON.
The current CD labelling software bundled with these printers is ATROCIOUS in its handling of images. It is impossible to take a simple square image and size it correctly for printing on a CD. The way it works is completely counter intuitive. I would appreciate suggestions for alternatives!
Completely agree. It's unimaginable how badly they messed up this simple and essential feature. Edit: I found a solution! @@CanonUSASupport Hello, thanks for reaching out! So sorry Mine is actually a Canon TS 704 it has a multipurpose tray for plastic ID card and Disc label printing. I need help on how to fix this problem so I can print with the ID card tray. Other printing trays print well, it's just this issue.
Hello Charles, I had the same problem and after trying everything found out there was a little orange plastic tab on the lower right of the output tray. After removing it, it goes inward a little further and with this the multipurpose tray works no problem.

I bought this to use with my LINUX computer--- as I've never had an issue connecting and printing. THIS 702a WOULD NOT work with linux-- not even with Gutenprint or foomatic databases loaded for "printing without drivers"-- it just would not work--- had to RETURN it-- (never had that issue with any other CAnON before-- EVER... NEED TO SPECIFY THAT ON THE BOX so other linux users don't waste time and money- and causing you to receive returned goods.. No doubt it's an EXCELLENT printer... but just NOT for linux.
