An archangel, or spiritual warrior in the struggle between good and evil, is Saint Michael. He is revered as the protector of the Church, a defender of justice, and a healer of the sick. Saint Michael is frequently portrayed in artwork wielding a sword, a banner, or scales and defeating Satan in the guise of a dragon.
The belief is that God created the Angels, the Earth, and Heaven. He referred to the significant Angels as Archangels. The "Angel of the Lord" that visited Moses and Abraham was Michael. Also an archangel, Lucifer was so radiantly attractive that people referred to him as the Son of the Morning. Lucifer began assembling Angels for an army against God after deciding that God shouldn't have the highest position in Heaven. God commanded Michael to gather a second army of angels to battle Lucifer. After a fierce struggle, Michael and his angels triumphed and expelled Lucifer from Heaven.
According to Catholic belief, St. Michael has four duties: he must battle Satan, accompany the faithful to heaven after they die, defend Christians and the church, and summon everyone from Earthly life to heavenly judgment.
Saint Michael is most frequently employed for protection in Catholic folk magic. He is called upon to safeguard your home, keep you safe from harm, safeguard you from your adversaries, and safeguard you from police harassment. He is also employed by troops, EMTs, security personnel, dying individuals, and holy death in dangerous waters. He requests sincerity rather than gifts. September 29 is Feast Day, also known as Michaelmas.

I've said it before, but I'm in love with this series and so appreciative that you've been so consistently posting. I seriously never want them to end, lol. I also loved this Catholic "working". It's such a beautiful, gentle way to incorporate two very different spiritual modalities. Growing up Catholic, there's lots of guilt (lol) when you feel you are also drawn to the magical arts, so to speak. I'd love to see more Catholic-Magical combinations. Thank you all so much!!

Yep, sources would be nice. I knew his colors where blue and yellow.
Red is for protection in this case. It's a color associated with alertness and war, which he'sd probably best anyone at.
Corresponding to the element of fire, the archangel Michael is the archangel of the south, the angels are all fragments of god, god being the Monad therefor we have to think of the choir divided in degrees of this circle.
On Earth, we use the degrees of the zodiac, Christ is the sun and the 12 apostles represent the 12 months/ zodiacs of the year.
Everything here on earth is spirit crystallized in to form, even colours.
Sun rises in the east, and settles in the north, Michael being the arch angel of the south corresponds to the noon day sun, this corresponds to the element of fire on the upright pentagram, therefor the colour corresponding to this element is red. And in order to prove this you have to study very deep gamatraia in the hebrew language, Kabbalah and sacred geometry.

absolutely. This is actually also done with something called a "knob candle" that has 7 sections. Same concept.
what you do with petition do you burn it or ?
totally your choice. Some people use the ashes of burned petitions to dress future candles

He doesn’t force us to give Him offerings. But when we insisted to give some as the token of our gratitude, He would happily accept
Yeah. I had the same feeling. I felt they were above being offered things of any sort, but I still give them offerings as consistent as possible, as a sign of gratitude.
I think I will offer him a Shabbat candle and annoying it with holy oil, light a frankensce and myrrh incense stick...

Is this some kind of joke? Christianity is against all magic! What are you doing? Deuteronomy 18:11-12 condemns anyone who "casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.
It also says you are forbidden to eat catfish and shrimp. Taking the theological leap to learn the basis of all paths and religions is eye-opening. Your approach seems to be like eating one flavor of ice cream all your life and condemning all the other flavors without ever tasting them.
