You should really look up the stats on Single-Mother Households (where the Father isn't LIVING with the Mother)....Single Father Households with Custody have the same outcomes as Two Parent Households, while Single Mother Households (Baby Momma Households) have higher incarceration Rates for the Child, higher Promiscuity rates for the Children, higher Self-Deletion rates for the Children, and higher Behavioral Issue rates for Children.

I made my mistakes. I have a daughter with a woman who won't let me raise her, but at least she assumes full custody with no child support from me. But she determined that this child will _make her own decisions_ when she becomes of age instead of my direction was is to marry young and as a chaste young lady, and put education and career second.

I was in this same situation. Ultimately I got sole custody and my daughter, however she lost 10 years of her childhood without a Father. The Mother was able to say and do whatever she wanted and the courts believed everything she said, just because she said them. My daughter is 18 now and thinks her mother is loser because she is. My relationship with my daughter is amazing, were best friends. The work and fight that I had to put in just to be her Father ultimately paid off but it took 10 years. The courts 100% side with the mother no matter how crazy she is. It should be criminal. Ask a women though and shell tell you the opposite. She will insist she is a victim.

I've experienced a similar situation in the NYC Family Courts over the past two years. I lost my kids, my home, tens of thousands of dollars, and my job due to grief when my wife of ten years, a stay-at-home mom, took similar actions.
This tactic seems common. By the time the accusations in the temporary protective order were proven false, the damage was done. This has been the hardest ordeal for my kids and me. I'm grateful this man shared his story; more men should do the same. Hearing others' experiences provides tremendous support during difficult litigation. I appreciate his vulnerability.

MTR I am a big fan of your work and we need you to speak up for those without a voice. I too am going through this situation with my baby's mom. I keep in touch with my son as much as I can but he's mom is dead set on keeping him from me. She's moved away, filed false restraining orders that got turned over in court and even ignoring the judges order for her to let me see him. My son understands because I do EVERYTHING I can for him from afar but it still hurts. I know I chose her so it's my fault but in my defense I was 17 when we met and 19 when we had our son. This happened to me too, I went through the court system to see my child. I wasnât allowed to be there when they were born, had to set up paternity, etc. didnât meet my kids until they were 2 because of threats of getting the police called on me for the simple fact I wanted to see my kids (twins). After all this when I got to court the judge and the people involved in the court treated me like a deadbeat father when I LITERALLY put MYSELF on child support. Threw the book at me as hard as she âlegallyâ could and sent me on my way. All because of bitterness and a system that enables and encourages this abusive behavior. The fem. Infestation that is the family court.

I made it to 41 no kids. My daughter is now 15 months
It's a double edged sword. I'm glad I chose to avoid the traps but I also think about how long I'll be in my child's life. Every choice comes with it's pro's and con's.
