i know Kai is supposed to be an evil, comic relief character but his backstory actually makes me cry the most out of all the TVD characters.
Imagine spending 22 years with a family who doesn’t love you, saw you were struggling but never helped you, tried to replace you FIVE TIMES, then locked u in a world all alone for 18 years...
like think about it. If he was so scary, they could have just killed him and moved on, but they hated him so much they didn’t even give Kai the mercy of death.
