  • A step by step presentation on how Honeynut Butternut Squash seed is produced.
    This delectable squash is smaller than Ponca, with a more uniform butternut shape. Green unripe fruits; early planting is recommended for tan color. Field resistance to powdery mildew. Developed by the Vegetable Breeding Institute at Cornell University. A portion of the sales of this variety are paid to the breeder.

    I thought honey nut squash was a hybrid, hence you cudnt save the seed....

    Why would you waste the flesh of the squash? Shouldn’t that go to pig farmers or some other purpose?

      They are obviously growing for seed production

      If one reads the text in the video it says the flesh goes on to become pig feed
