I highly enjoyed playing Darksiders 2. Gameplay has a mixture of God of War/Devil May Cry melee combat while having Prince of Persia-like wall running.
Darksiders is one of the most underrated game franchises ever. Each game is great, has a beautifully constructed setting, great character development with each protagonist, and some of the most tense boss battles in hack and slash gaming. When are we going to get Darksiders 4?
The fact that Darksiders 2 and Metal Gear Rising Revengence share the same thumbnail, shows me all I need to know. This list is the absolute truth!! Lol
Outta this list, i recommend "The Lords of Shadow," "Revengeance" and "Bayonetta"... all great games, and once you master the their controls you will feel like a god...
I really enjoyed Atlas Fallen. The hundred and something augments to the combat you can slot in really makes you have to think about good combinations and how to best fuck shit up. The story was okay, and the visuals look better now than at launch. But I enjoyed my time with it
Castlevania: LOS is gaming perfection. Everyone owes it to themselves to play it through at least once. Best combination of narrative, combat, and atmosphere.

Unlocked the slide doors at his backyard quietly. Then went in to jump him in his room. Quickly opened his door and we saw a sock in one hand, half of his pants pulled down, and a paused Lollipop Princess game. Dont believe me but its a true story.

There's one I personally recommend and that's brutal legend, an open world action adventure game where you play as Eddie Riggs (voiced by Jack Black) who's a roadie that's been transported to a world of heavy metal and Demons, you can fight with a guitar and a giant axe. It also features an all star cast such as Lemmy (singer of Motorhead), Rob Halford (singer of Judas Priest), Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne.
I never got into Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. I played it a few times at a friend's house nearly two decades ago but I never got the chance to go beyond that. My question is this: what kind of character is Dante supposed to be? Is he supposed to be a guy who thinks he's cool but is actually corny and everyone around him knows he's corny, or do the games want us to think he's cool too?
I remember playing Dante’s Inferno very similar to God of War and I enjoy it. Also Darksiders 2 was really great but I never got the chance to finish it
Most of these games on this list i played because of God of War. Sucks that Immortals Fenyx Rising isn’t on this list because it too has a Greek Mythology theme and gameplay like one
prototype 1 and 2 are worth mentioning. I have played them both are really good. Prototype 1 is for players that need a challenging experience with biological powers instead of swords and guns. the 2nd game is for those who wanna fell like a badass and blow shit up.
oddly enough I never could get into God of War ( as a player that is.... ) but I LOVE the Bayonetta games, the Devil May Cry games, Lollipop Chainsaw , Metal Gear Rising and the Darksiders games. I also kind of enjoyed Dante's Inferno and what little I was able to play of Ghost of Tsushima. I'd also like to add: Astral Chain Killer Is Dead Hi-Fi Rush
Good to learn a few new ones but I think due to the vast differences between new god of war and old god of war, that you should do separate videos for each one

The first Darksiders was great. Good combat, animation, and story and potential if you like to imagine during the story. The second is good but expands the mythos too fast so it needs a second play through to appreciate it. The 3rd and 4th aren’t good.
God of War itself was a rip-off of Rygar, and arguably Devil May Cry. Still, I appreciate the list even though most of them are more influenced by Devil May Cry. God of War is a fantastic series, and has since evolved well beyond its inspirations.
Darksiders is an awesome set of games! Love the combat, love the lore, love the art design! Definitely worth checking out and it goes on sale all the time!
Don't pay attention to the video. Lords of shadow 2 is a pretty good game. It does put you off at first with all the changes they made regarding the setting and inclusion of those 2 stealth sections, but eventually it grows on you. By the end you'll be enjoying it as much as the first one.
Some these games deserve HD Remasters on all consoles, except Ghost of Tsushima (that game is just beautiful). Still wishing Bayonetta were on the other consoles, and that games sequel games stuck on Nintendo makes me unhappy.
I thought this would be games similar to GOW 2018 and Ragnarok lol not just hack n' slashers. Recently played and enjoyed Evil West which is pretty much vampire hunting cowboy kratos
Both star wars Jedi fallen order and jedi survivor games reminds of god of wars Same style of exploration and multiple worlds to revisit and backtrack As well the difficulty

At least mention that Darksiders has Diablo loot and Zelda dungeons. That makes a huge difference to God of War and, in my opinion, a much better attempt to add RPG mechanics than the Nordic games'.

Ghost of Tsushima feels very much of an Assassin’s Creed game, having the players feel like both samurai and ninja.

Daunte's Inferno was a pretty good similar game.
It's a very underrated game. It was dismissed as a GOW clone (which it is), but that didn't make it a bad game. GOW itself was a ripoff of Rygar.
Darksiders 2 I especially recommend out of all those options. And also Astral Chain is phenomenal.

Mostly, it's because of the stealth sections, but I find those stealth sections are pretty damn easy. That game gets way too much crap.
