+XtremeDrake I think Laurel actually fit on the team the least compared to the rest of the people. She was the most like an ordinary person out of the crime-fighters. I actually expected Quentin or Felicity's Mom to die. Laurel seems like an odd choice, but she didn't mesh with the rest of the team. She was too much of an optimist compared to Oliver.

Eric Means That is true Felicity used to be unique in Season 1 and 2 but with characters like Curtis showing up to fill the void of her leaving she does seem more ordinary. Curtis is probably my favorite character introduced in Arrow this season. He's super nerdy but somehow also a Bronze Decathlete, so I'm interested to see where they go with his character.

Everyone of my friends who used to watch Arrow have kind of stopped, said the serie changed they much and they didn't like it anymore.
I kept defending it and saying that everything would turn around, but after this, after they killed her, I am done myself. Laurel is a part of the Green Arrow mythos, they can't kill her if you ask me. I would've been fine with any other death, but not hers....

I haven't even watched Arrow since the first half of Season 4 ended because all the fucking Olicity and Felicity crap was just too much to endure… I had planned to catch up, but after this? From what I've heard… Laurel - a character with A LOT of development and growth - died with her final words being about Olicity? Her last breath was about that fucking ship that ruined this Fandom?! Arrow, I'll remember you how I remember Heroes. The beginning was great - incredible even, but the progression into the later seasons was fucking horse shit :))

Seems to me that the writers gave Laurel alot of story line and arcs. Katie just couldn't do much with it cause shes not lead actress material. Non of her scenes stick out to me cause she's not that great of an actress. Felicity's scenes stick out to everyone whether you like her or not, cause Emily exudes a presence that's demands to be seen. Which makes Emily a great actress. Whether Black Canary is canon or not. Whether "whine" "Laurel is supposed to be with Oliver like in the comics" "whine" . THIS is the reason Felicity gets to stay, and Laurel gets to die. Emily shouldn't be faulted because she is so good at what she does, she makes people take notice of her. Emily was in literally two scenes the entire episode yet all of you can't help but mention her. That is powerful, and that's star role material. Admit it not that Emily is a bad actress it's just that you're all butt hurt that the writers didn't stick directly to all of you're precious comic book versions. And please tell me again how whiny and bitchy Felicity is and then proceed to whine and bitch in the comment section about How " Oliver and Laurel are destined". Too much romance, suuurrrrre .😒 Y'all need to come correct.
Felicity's death would have been huge, but everyone would have been more understanding. Disrespecting Laurel/Black Canary for a made up character is nonsense smh...this is why DC will always be #2 to Marvel, they should be embarrassed this even happened. It's been a soap since Season 1 if you hadn't realized that until now it's not wonder you think this season was so bad. I actually liked this season a lot more than the convoluted Season 3 Plot which amounted to nothing other than Merlin becoming the head of the League of Assassins

'Til death do us Part' Sherlock is similar to Doctor Who in my opinion. It can be hit and miss, but regardless of the writing and the story, it is always a fun adventure to watch. The latest episode with the bride was quite clever. :3

She grew too popular in the first seasons, everyone was talking about her, guys were in love with her, girls wished they were her. They demanded this Olicity thing and even threatened to stop watching if it didn't happen. And CW was stupid enough to grant them their wish and totally ruin the show. Do yourself a favor and watch Daredevil. Much better. Gotham Season 2 is also pretty good. It's time to leave Arrow for good.

Ok, this show has now officially gone off the rails. I really hoped that after 2 seasons of this Felicity diaries' crap they were making Felicity dead or at least quit the team like she did, now we see they decide to kill the ONE character, who this show has currently been worth watching for...the one character that has actually made at least some character progress since season 2...all others have become crying emotional bitches, who can't kill anymore and would much rather cry and whine about how dissapointed they are with this hard life or something. And we finally got to see some real sweet moments between Black Canary/Laurel and Green Arrow/Oliver so it kinda started to feel like that season 1 or 2 again, when all was right in the Arrow universe.
And all the fault goes to that new female producer/writer bitch, who is an Olicity fan-girl herself it seems...if Gugenheim/Berlanti were still here and not with the Flash, which is expectedly rocking our worlds, because they are there, the Arrow wold've end this Olicity diaries crap more than a year ago and we would've have Felicity with a Arrow in her chest at the end of season 3...instead of looking her and Oliver drive into the sunset like in some soap opera.
The only chance for this show i see, if somehow Laurel (remember how she wanted to tell Oliver Oliver something, and she did moments before she 'supposedly' die, but we didn't get to hear what she said) if Laurel isn't really dead...if somehow her and Oliver made this plan to fake her own death to take her out of the equation, fool Darkh and keeping Laurel as the 'ace in the hand' who will by the end of the season be instrumental to Darkh's demise, because he or we for that matter, will never see it coming. I wouldn't put it past Arrow to make such a great turn-around, Oliver has been known to keep some real big secrets and surprises over the years, plus there's that small thing of almost anyone in Arrow not really being dead for good all the time.
On the other hand, if she's really dead, then i can't see this show making past season 5...not with this bitch of a writer, who seems adamant to please herself and her fellow Olicity fan girls and make Arrow a mockery (well it already is currently) of a super-hero show, for sure.
Just one thing to add: It's Guggenheim and Mericle that are in charge of Arrow in S3 and S4. Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti went to write for Flash. That’s why Flash is so much better than Arrow.

I'm sick of relevant characters being pushed out of the serie (Roy, Ted Grant, Laurel...), and also the fact that they keep insisting on characters that actualy don't even exist in the comics (Felicity, Thea, Diggle...) I think it‘s time they put the serie closer to what's in the comics, like Flash, it starts in a new and different way but eventualy it meets what's factual on the comics. Nuff said!

The fact that they made the Reverse-Flash Harrison Wells (non-comic character) is something new, but then they revealed that he is actualy Eobard Thawne in disguise made it closer to the comics. There is no Tommy Merlyn, no John Diggle, no Sarah Lance, Felicity Smoak (at least this version of her), no Thea Queen (she exists only to replace an actual female archer student of Oliver)... This show is becoming a real soap opera, pissing on the comic book fans. I'm not saying they have to do it straight out of the comics, but at least getting closer to it...
Filipa Ferreira No, it's basically the same character only in a different role. She's still a computer software expert who worked for a tech company, but her role in Arrow is more of a Barbara Gordon/Oracle ripoff. That, and her hair in the comics is dark instead of blonde - although they did portray Felicity as having dark hair in her flashback episode, 'The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak.' lol

All those build ups, the training with Ted Grant and Nyssa washed down and for what? At least bring back Sara as the Black Canary to fix this mistake...

Ok I was never really a big laurel fan because she was so stuck up in the first few seasons but it will be different with her gone and I know that olicity is still endgame which I'm super happy about but I really like her friendship with everyone! This show literally shot itself in the foot in just about every way imaginable.
If Laurel really is dead, then it's a complete waste of what could have been a really great character. Not only that, but it's also incredibly disrespectful to any fans of the source material that such an important character would be casually killed off in an entirely unsatisfying manner.
If she is actually alive as some people have speculated, it's still awful. Why? Because then it's a complete cop out that the "big death" that has been teased this entire season isn't a death at all; just a misdirection.
But hey, at least we're sure to have more Felicity scenes now, right? Screw this show. I'm amazed at how far it's fallen since the first two seasons. It went from ARROW to THE OLICITY HOUR.

first of all, don't get me wrong I've never really been a massive fan of Laurel/Canary (at least a tv-show version of her) and I'm not hating on CW either but... really, c'mon you guys!! feels more like Game of Thrones than the actual Arrow!
I love GoT but wth?? the Arrow writers/producers seem so f*cked up tbh.. George R.R. Martin how exactly were you able to influence on their minds so "successfully"?
they needed to kill off someone to get Oliver to get the motivation to stop darhk but they couldn't kill someone too important (don't get me wrong I liked Laurel) such as Felicity or diggle cuz they were there from the beginning so they chose laurel

I didn't really like Laurel (at least til the 4th season) but imo she seemed quite important character for the show, plus she was there from the very beginning as well.. idk..
she was there from the beginning but I mean part of team arrow. Diggle and Felicity were part off Team Arrow from the beginning
+'Til death do us Part' Deaths like this of main characters i actually tend to like because of the development it causes to the other characters in the series. im guess laurels death will have a huge impact on character development, im pretty excited to see the path they decided to go from here

Remember that there is The Flash, who can time travel, and I think I read something about Laurel being on The Flash. I'm not sure, but this might be something bigger than just a permanent death, I really liked Laurel as of this season.

+Tyrellyvision Yea she grows on us in the series but still if you rewatch it from the start you will realize she was making the show worse.
George k She never made the show worse. What made the show worse was Olicity's screen time. Laurel was Oliver's balance between killing and being more human in season 1, she became independent and also a failure in season 2, showing that even those with the strongest will can fall, and she stood up and fought for herself and her city in season 3, despite everyone's warnings.
She could've died to Brickwell and Vertigo but she got back up and faced them to eventually defeat their forces, alongside Team Arrow. She was the only connection us watchers had with Nyssa, who's one of the few amazing characters this show still has.
Then she just got forgotten, left aside and deleted from some episodes because they were out to give Felicity/Olicity more unnecessary soap-opera screen time.
Laurel didn't even know about Roy's or Thea's deaths, and she was the only one who supported Thea in her deepest moments and she was the one who fough alongside Roy and saved his life more than once. BUT they sure put Felicity even in Nanda Parbat just so we could have a sex scene between her and Oliver.
You realize its a character in a tv show you describe, my main problem is with the actor and how annoying she made the show. I despise those love stories that took the main plot in many episodes , unnecessary to fill the episodes and most stupid fans that every tv show they watch they expect the soap opera or they won't continue watching for the main plot.
Do you guys think that now Laurel is dead, Sara will leave Legends of Tomorrow after season 1 and join Arrow as Black Canary? Or if she goes back in time to kill Damien Darkh when he was younger and alter the timeline.
