Just heard this song (after so many years) in the closing scene and credits of a Japanese series playing on Netflix (House of Ninjas). Great music never dies. It travels all over the world and finds its place in the most surprising places!
When I hear music like this, I thank God I grew up when all this greatness was being produced.

These kids today don't even have a clue on how great this music was. All us baby boomers have is the memories. I will say this again and again the 60's was the best area of music period.

I sung this song in one of the clubs on a cruise to the Bahamas. My beloved who has gone home to be with God had never heard me sing & couldn’t stop smiling when he found out that I could sing. He told everyone he came in contact with how amazed he was that I could sing & how heartfelt it was for me to dedicate this song to him.. Rest in perfect peace my beloved..I will missed & love you always & forever🙏🏾♥️

I LOVE, LOVE this song by Carla as only Carla can sing it. It reminds me of really true, young love--the hurting kind. The healing kind. The gentle, caring kind. The fun kind. She sings it with such passion. She has improved an already impeccable unique voice, if that is possible. Audience was weak. They should have been doing a standing ovation on the first big ending.
Benedette Peters does a fine job on this song, but since she's a liberal with hate in her heart, that kills it.
She has such a sweet voice and rightly so underrated.
I sung this song at my school talent show, I got a standing ovation! Everyone said that I sounded just like Carla Thomas. She was my biggest fan then, and she still is. I wish they would bring songs like this again

I dedicated that song to my husband he had the most beautiful eyes you could ever want to see I lost him at 48 years old and I miss him up to today it's been 25 years and my heart still breaks he was gorgeous I hear that song and I cry every time

In 1961, I ran right out and bought the Atlantic .45, sung and composed by Carla Thomas.
This song just melted my heart, then one look at her and I fell in Love! She had a voice that just made you feel so good and comfortable. Danced a many time on her songs, tried to sing a few(smile), then decided to just listen to her.
