House Flood Caught On Video! Heavy Rainstorm FLOODED Our House!

- We had a huge and heavy rainstorm where the water came down so much that our yard got flooded. As the storm got worse, so did the flooding. We quickly found that water was coming into our house through several areas. The rain kept coming down and the water kept coming inside our house! One of the worst areas was the basement where the water was seeping in through the window. The window well filled up to 7' deep until the window could not hold the weight of the water any longer and it busted allowing over 4,000 gallons of water into our basement. We frantically tried to save everything we could but time ran out on some things. We were hoping insurance would cover it but we did not have specific "flood" insurance so we were left to cover the damages to our home.

Our whole basement flooded. You guys are very very lucky because our whole basement flooded and yours didn’t break ours completely break we have to fix it and all the floors are all broken. Everything is all broken. You should be so glad that you didn’t fall break and you were able to bring everything upstairs before the window broke.😊
And also if everything broke in your house, then that means you wouldn’t have a downstairs anymore and you guys always go downstairs for like hide and go seek so you guys should be glad that it did not break OK cause it is so bad if it does break because I can’t even go downstairs

You guys are sooo lucky my old house that my grandparents are living in they had no upstairs or basement so the same happened the window broke my grandpa go like 2 glass shards in his arm the whole window broke the water was up to their knees and I was lucky to have an upstairs I’m fine hopefully you guys are my grandparents obviously came to live with us for the night and morning it was really expensive to fix their house but luckily they are living with us for now stay safe and positive! :)

Okay advice from someone that is in a flood prone area. Bail the window. If your window well floods like that (a) you should get a plastic window cover to prevent that from happening and (b) go out and bail it. You’re gonna get wet. You’re gonna get muddy. You’re probably gonna wreck some of your yard but get everyone in a line and bucket brigade that window. Trust me it’s better than having it collapse again and flooding your basement.

Happened to me a few years ago and water also came into our house but it wasn't as scary as in the video, only our floor was damaged becouse it was wood.

This happened to me before. Malaysians know this flood. There was a flood that lasted 2 days. My mother and father covers everywhere with cardboard and clay. I was in Selangor, the least rainy part of the flood. Some other states were completely flooded. People had snakes bugs and alligators in their houses. Some of the other states were so flooded to the point they needed a BOAT to move. Their houses supplies everything was ruined. The water was very dirty. A lot of people died inside the flood such as newborn babies, kids etc. I wasn’t budged my sister was horrified my mother and father was determined to keep me and my sister safe. Btw I was 8 when that happened (2021). The states were ruined. It took about weeks before the flood sank down and went normal again. Peoples cars, trucks and motorcycles were destroyed. I was lucky in that situation as I couldn’t swim. I knew the horrified and pained people in those completely flooded countries pain. I imagined how they suffered and how I was lucky. In the end, the population of Malaysia didn’t budge, for those whose experienced will always remember that past remnant.

I feel so bad that you're entire basement flooded But I have never ever had a flood before I don't even have a basement but I do have an upstairs I still understand how bad that could be though We have had flash floods but not that bad Water has never leaked into our house from outside .Stay safe
