Putin used to act somewhat rationally, there was no reason to assume he would suddenly say bye-bye to reason. Nothing or very little was lost because a few countries tried to negotiate a peaceful settlement. And the very fact that Putin doesn't seem to act rationally any more should make us all the more wary not to needlessly provoke a nuclear war. It's not fair that things are this way, but the fact that life in Ukraine must seem pretty apocalyptic right now doesn't mean that the global apocalypse is indeed imminent.

Russia's first reason to start this war was the expansion of NATO and EU. Why did Ukraine aim for these goals when their country was full of corruption, going through an internal armed conflict and in a very unstable situation? This invasion is absolutely despicable and deplorable but Ukraine should've focused on fixing their country first before aiming for European goals. Their country was very far from meeting any requirements to join EU even before the invasion. She's willfully ignoring this, and justifying a nuclear world war only to save her country. First steps should be raising every NATO & EU nations military bugdet and numbers, while doing so we should make Sweden & Finnland NATO members. Further destabilize central Asia. If we can get the Russians to attack further countries we could break Putins regime in 3-5 years, their ecomonic will be crushed, they will only stand with China (other BRICS states dont really matter, expect India, but they hate China, due to border conflicts). After Putin is gone Russia will be busy wih infightings, probably up to 5 years till they get another leader who can consolidate his power. This 5 years should be spend on China and the chinese threat in the South China Sea, China is and will be a bigger rival to us (West) then Russia is right now and will be in the next 10 or more years. Why deal with Russia first? Because they are starting to struggle, the more wars they fight the more their economy will suffer, the more the Russian people suffer and thus will more likely open for change in Russian leadership and Geopolitics. I have watched coverage non-stop since this started never believing this would ever develop into a full scale invasion. I am so depressed, angry and sad along with the rest of the world- To be from a NATO country and only watch from the sidelines to prevent a nuclear war is so hard for all of us- I have been to war and what we’re not seeing are the poor soldiers (on both sides) that will be dismembered and killed is too much to take in this day and age- I pray this is over soon

The clip of the Ukrainian lady with the PM is misleadingly edited. In the full version her emphasis is on calling for a no fly zone, and it is obvious when watching it in full that it was in response to that aspect where Boris said he couldn’t do everything she wanted. It’s an hour long update and they couldn’t keep in the extra minute to fully cover her comments or his response?
They should also have included his lie (surprise surprise) that Britain led the sanctions against Russia. Our response was pathetic, late and targeted just three oligarchs.

There is another living hell, in Mexico. The tourist cities are meant to show differently. Why are there no drones etc attacking the 40 miles convoy ? And if there simply are no longer any drones, why is that so ? Why is no one providing drones for defensive purposes, if planes or helicopters are no options. What is the use of showing satellite pictures of this damned convoy, if there are no means left to disrupt it before it will reach Kiev ? Is Ukraine waiting for the next round of negotiations too ? Isn't it better to negotiate in a position of relative strength then with the capital in a stranglehold ? Is it because they are fearing that the "liberators" will turn Kiev into a new Aleppo (which didn't get that much attention on the news). And suppose the worst, suppose Mr. Putin sets into motion such bombings... Is there a plan here in the West ? More sanctions ? As regards British guarantee the Ukrainian journalist has done her history well. She should ask Poland in 1939, ask the French how they were abandoned and even attacked after the German defeat of France in 1940. Shhe should also realise that Britain hosts and even welcomes 85% of corrupt loots from Russia which makes a significant part of the British economy. Perhaps then she would understand that British guarantee is worth a discarded tissue paper.
