After discovering her passion for stand-up comedy later in life and finding the time and confidence to pursue her dream, Leanne Morgan has cemented herself as a must-watch comedian.
Leanne was feeling the lure of Hollywood after graduating high school, yet the idea of moving there was unheard of and too daunting for a country girl who had never been away from home. She enrolled in college at The University of Tennessee, where she graduated (by the skin of her teeth) with a degree in Child and Family Studies.
Shortly after, she married her husband, Chuck, and they moved to Bean Station, Tennessee located in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
To stay busy after having her first baby, Morgan started selling jewelry at home parties. She was supposed to talk about the jewelry but instead conversed about breastfeeding, hemorrhoids and being a mama. The party guests thought that she was hilarious, and before she knew it, she was booked a year in-advance.
The jewelry company saw what was happening and asked her to speak at their sales rallies. It was there that women started saying, “you need to do stand-up!” That gave Morgan the courage to really go for it! She finally had access to comedy clubs when her family moved to San Antonio in 2001, and her career in comedy quickly officially got underway.
Morgan’s comedy has landed her at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and has brought her development deals for her own sitcom with ABC and Warner Brothers, writer/producer Matt Williams (Rosanne and Home Improvement), TV Land and with Sony Television.
Morgan has garnered over 2.5M followers across social media and her popular online stand-up special, So Yummy, has reached over 50M views on CZcams. Her fan base continues to grow with her relatability as she discusses everything from being a housewife, sharing Jell-O recipes to having a new grandbaby. Morgan has appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show, The View, and Nick at Nite’s Funniest Mom.
Now that her children are grown, Morgan is moving full steam ahead with a career rooted in her everyday comedy. In December 2022, she concluded The Big Panty Tour with Outback Presents which spanned 100+ shows in theaters across the U.S. She also taped her first Netflix standup special which premieres on the platform on April 11, 2023. Morgan is back on the road with her next 100+ show Just Getting Started theater and arena tour with Outback Presents. Her first book, What in the World?, is set to be published by Random House/Convergent, in August 2024.
When not on the road, Leanne cherishes spending time in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband, three children, grandbaby, and two beagles.

This one hit home. My mother-in-law's name is Gail. She always did the coming, but dementia set in and my husband, my brother-in-law and I had to take over a few years ago. We used her recipes that we were able to find and she actually thought she'd done the cooking that first year we took over so we felt like we did very well. Bless her, she passed away April 4, 2024. Her funeral is tomorrow. She will be missed so very much. Thank you for making me smile a little today.

I’m sorry for the loss of your Mother In Law. I once was looking for my Mother’s recipe for coconut cake with pineapple between the layers, I guess I’d really been missing her and for some reason I opened a box I thought just had some photos in it and there was that recipe. My daughter in law and I have made it a few times. I planned, shopped and prepared Easter dinner for my son, daughter in law and granddaughter, I bought an unspiraled (spell check does not like that word, but I do) ham that only needed to be heated,
then I made broccoli rice casserole, deviled eggs, asparagus, mashed potatoes…a ton of them, orange fluff, reception salad…the best ever, rolls,
impossible coconut pie with coconut milk, and the hit of the whole meal at least for my daughter in law and I…bread pudding! And bourbon sauce. As we were in the kitchen getting things dished up my daughter in law says to me, Lol, your kitchen is so clean and you’ve made all of this food 😂😂😂😂😂 well, it was clean because I was mopping the floor at midnight! After lunch we played aggravation, using my dad’s rules and it is so fun, after that we dished up the leftovers and they helped clean a little then they left and I went to take a nap, after all, I am pushing 81! After my two hour nap, I went back to the kitchen and finished all of the cleaning and hand washing of all the pots and pans, then put my dining room back to its beautiful self! Two years ago I prepared all of the food for a family get together at my grandson’s home, because my place won’t hold everyone, after that I figured I’d never undertake
such a monumental task again, but guess I was up for at least one more. So my son was diagnosed with Leukemia about 20 months ago, I see myself in the mirror everyday, but I am not sure if I had really looked at their faces to see the toll it has taken on them. The truth is that cancer is a bear! Today he sent me a text of a blister on his leg while he was waiting to see the doctor, by the time he left the doctors office the first one was bigger than a grape and a second one popped up. He usually winds up in the hospital with sepsis
when he gets a mosquito bite, hoping that’s not the case this time. I worry about my boy every single day. His older brother was killed by a hit and run driver several years ago, the thought of losing another child is unbearable. 😢

Get a honey baked they taste good anyway
Spiral sliced is cut too thin for the flavor to appear. Stack 3 or 4 slices and tastes better.
Gail is correct. And they dry out too easily! I find, if you cook and glaze your ham right, while rather than spiraled wins every day

Boiled ham shank is the best. Bring to a boil for 15 min., pour off the water and refill. Continue to boil until done. It gets rid of much of a great amount of curing additives and tastes much cleaner.
Hmmm..I just put mine in a crock pot for a few hours. Basically boiled because I add some water and the juices nearly cover it. Ill try the pouring off the water next time to see if it tastes better. I mean, we are usually happy with the results but better is better.
I want to hear about Gail, PDiddy and ham. THAT is the making of a holiday special.

In my house, it was always ham for Easter, turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My husband and I loved turkey. I was/am lukewarm for ham. Except for ham in pinto beans! Pure heaven! Now, my children do everything backwards and I don't know if it's Thanksgiving or Easter.

Love this, been there! My mom always cooks her own, beautifull, with pineapple and cherries toothpocked to the outside. Juicy and delicious. I have always bought the Costco spiraled ham and it gets dried out. Got a Safeway spiral this year, more expensive than Costco but it was not dry, tasted delish and mom and dad loved it.
