I am also impressed with the Kato products. I am looking at setting up an N gauge layout & purchased the Gaugemaster BR Industrial Freight Starter Train Set GM2000105 for about £110. In that you get the same package but with the addition of a basic small loco & 2 wagons which was great value. I have since got some extra Kato track & a second hand TOMIX JR 98363 4 car powered set. The Tomix loco does the most amazing crawl using the Kato controller & track. Note, the Kato & Tomix couplers are not compatible.
If you weather the Kato track rails and ties and then ballast it it looks stellar! It becomes permanent at that point but it realistic looking. Thanks for showing this. Interesting. I had a huge Kato track. Sold on it.👍👍😎🇺🇸
It reminds me of my first Triang set I was given in the 1950s. So nothing new under the sun. Started building an n gauge Although severely site imparted I can heatedly agree Peco track in N gauge is a nightmare. I nearly came to binning the whole thing.

I have nothing but KATO. I use single and doubletracks and all my long passengers work great.
Great video. Switched to kato and never went back, and looks great when ballasted. Btw it is pronounced kah-toe :)
Most USA n modellers use it…

I agree wholeheartedly.
