    Looks sick af! When you take off the timing cover again for new hardware you should replace the gallery gaskets too so you never have to go back in there. Had to do mine last year two weeks after my new timing cover lol

      Out the dipstick, I dunno? I just installed an Oil catch can. Since it's a baffled can it catches the blow by fairly well. I have it set up as a closed system. So I have both banks running to the OCC and then an outlet going right back to the lower plenum. It's essentially the same stock set up, I just deleted the driver's side valve cover going to the the intake tube. Ive had it installed for about 5 months and so far, so good. It catches a out an oz or so of blow by every month when I empty it. That's blow by that definitely would of ended up back through the intake manifold contaminating the combustion. It hasn't messed up anything. I'm however needing to check my spark plugs. Every since Ive installed the 5/16th plenum spacer and Cai it runs lean. Every now and then I'll get a check engine light that indicates bank 2 running lean. Lately I've gotten a P0300 which is a multiple misfire, yet I never feel the nor here it misfiring. It's definitely not knocking, the engine is clean and running great. Whenever I check the codes it'll give me a P0000 which indicates that everything is fine. So I don't know if the ecu is misreading the misfire. Im suspecting a small vacuum leak somewhere. I wouldn't think you'd really need to tune the car with a plenum spacer and CAI. But there's obviously too much air in the A/F mixture. Who knows but I definitely feel you should have a closed pcv system meaning the pcv hose is connecting to the lower plenum vacuum or atleast have it venting to atmosphere to help relieve the pressure in the crankcase.

    So what’s the performance difference with the cosworth? I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews in regards to the cosworth and the kenetix . They say the kenetix (or however you spell it) is a big waste of money people actually recommend to just buying a spacer for $100 and it’ll do the same . Just wondering how the cosworth stands up to the kenetix or just a plenum spacer.

      The Kinetix Velocity is really designed for a car with cams and the supporting internal changes, as it extends the power band further up. That's if those cams work higher up. Just throwing stuff at an engine is a waste of money if we don't understand what it's changing. Stock internals, yep get a chunky spacer, they work (if mapped after).

    • @gouchie2x121
      @gouchie2x121 Před 3 lety

      @@TheRobphobos thanks for the input but that’s kinda irrelevant. I understand you need to have all the internals to support it/improve functionality. My question was how the cosworth intake stood up against a kenetix or just a spacer. But thanks.
