If you don’t have or want to get that second program you could also save the snipped image and put it in an picture to svg converter online and that would save you time. If there are several colors/layers you could also separate the layers so they’re not touching (and without resizing anything) and then screenshot the screen and put it in the converter.
You can skip the step of pulling in a box, resizing, etc…and just click the top, left corner of the grid until the grid disappears. Love the snipping tool!
Holding your [Windows button + Left Shift + S] will auto snipping tool for you, then you move your mouse to highlight the section you want to screen shot and it will auto pop up a save box from your clipboard.. a faster action :).. but thank you very much for showing us another way to save from DS :)
this is very helpful, but you don't even need the shape. if you want to save a step you can just click the little box on the left corner for the grid and the lines can be eliminated! even quicker! :D thanks for sharing steps!
Hello all :)....all files/images you save in design space also save to your pc IF you clicked the button in design space to save to pc. mine is in LOCAL DRIVE C: then click USERS and then your name, then CRICUT DESIGN SPACE, then LOCAL DATA, then CANVAS.the numbered list is all the image files saved to your pc, for me the first folder contain only my projects i worked on and not shapes ect from design space like the rest of the numbered files do have....hope this helps whom ever is reading this in 2022 :)...NOTE haha snipping tool is much faster...SHIFT + WINDOWS KEY and press S.
OMG!!! I have been using Cricut since they first came out and my mind is blown. I have always jumped back and forth between different apps and spent hours trying to clean up my Cricut designs. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Have to then worry about a super pixelated design after saving. A design such as this would be super easy to accommodate. Anything smaller would be super pixelated. Great idea, but not the best for smaller images, unfortunately :(
The whole point of me using cricut was to slice words out of an image and now the only way to get it out of this app is to leave a background that I was trying to remove. RIDICULOUS! I dont want a back ground, I want a transparent background. this is so stupid they dont have a real export option on the app.
By definition this is not "exporting." And the fact that this video comes up was super frustrating. This is fine if you don't need something exported at a given size, but taking a screenshot does not give you a 1:1 sized export if you need to print something you designed in Cricut.
This didn’t solve anything Lol 🤦♀️ this isn’t exporting svgs this is take a screenshot Lol but i guess for new users it could be helpful? Unfortunately there is not a way to export your saved files/projects from design space into other programs or onto your desktop/mobile etc iCloud files or at least I don’t know how.. it’s a bummer!
Why wouldn't you just turn off the gridlines instead? Would save you a step everytime!
I learned of the grid line disable feature shortly after this video was made. I’ll pin this so that people can see this time saver. Thanks!
Came here to say this
It's more clicks to turn off the grid then turn it back on than to use the square.
How do you do that?
FINALLY, a tutorial that actually helped me save the file outside of Cricut! Thank you so much for this! Great video!
I have had Microsoft products in 1986 and had no idea the Snipping Tool ever existed. THANK YOU!
SNIP & SKETCH NOW... :)
I pasted the snipped image directly on to canva page. No hassle after that. Thank you for your video!!!
Brooooo this legit just saved my life. I am eternally grateful
Thank you so much for this!!! I have spent hours trying to make this work. So easy!
I'm so glad I came across this video! Very helpful, thank you!

This comment! 🗣👏🏽 Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!!!!
The thing for me is the snippet tool lowers the quality so things are blurry 😞
This is awesome, thanks so much.😊 Cricut's always making improvements, they should add an export feature😁
Thank you! Just the video I was looking for!

This is not an export!

Thank you soo much!! This worked absolutely perfect!
Glad to hear it!
This was super helpful! Thank you so much!!
Makes total sense, but I didn't think of it! Thanks!

This is a huge help! Thanks for the information.
@@NTBVinyls anytime I’m still learning but one less click is even easier! 😁😁

I can't thank you enough for this video ❤
I'll try this! Thanks SO much! : )
What kind of vector sofware do you use? Thanks
Did they update the software? Your designs are always available to you to take anywhere you like.
Genius! Thank you!
what is the snipping tool?? Can I do this in the glowforge
What vector program did you use to paste the image into
You're a genius thank you.
Thank you.. save me so much time.

How do u do that when u have a laptop bc I want my pic big but witha laptop it only get so big

Thank you!!
What software is used? And is it free?
Thank you!!!!!
Am unable to save my work after I change my svg in VinylMaster somehow. Its says "This option is not available in Demo version". Help!!
It sounds like it may be blocked with the demo. I recommend upgrading to the full version. It’s extremely worth it.
@@NTBVinyls do you have a Link for this software. I tried looking it up and I’m not sure which one is legit.
THANK YOUUUU
How did you get it to look like that on the font? The black but the text is hollowed out
Use the rectangle and put the font in front of it, then slice and keep the box discarding the text.
black box white text and you can slice
@@giaprion1127 TYSM!!!!
You skipped on how to accrues the snipping tool. Where is it?
Should come right up on windows if you type "snip" in the search box.
What's the vector program you are using
It’s Vinyl Master Pro
Thank you so much for explaining how to save image to PC

Where is this snipping tool? Is it in Design Space?
search your windows system for snipping tool, its not in design space :)
use the shift key and the windows flag key next to the alt button and press the s key all at the same time and it will pull up the snipping tool
It’s a Windows tool. Use the search option to find it.
If you’re Mac, use Command+Shift+5
nice
My comes out flurry 😢

GIMP is a free option that allows you to remove backgrounds from images with their Color To Alpha feature.
How do you screenshot on Mac
Command, shift, 4

This is helpful but still click bait. I wanted the file
So let's pretend we are on a p.C. and... how do we screen shot?
If you’re on Windows 10 or 11, use Windows Key+Shift+S
You can just turn the grid off. This is all much easier to do on a phone.
Screenshot makes image look blurry
This didn’t solve anything Lol 🤦♀️ this isn’t exporting svgs this is take a screenshot Lol but i guess for new users it could be helpful? But did it work for you?🤔
Just don't use design space to create SVGs.
Dude's gotta be paying for comments, this is not the solution described
While this may work for some cases - this is not "Exporting". This is editing to create a copy. Not solved.
Shittest software ever for creative professionals. Everything is a freakin hack
