To be effective at a shorter height against taller guys of heavier or similar weight categories, everything needed to work in perfect sync it seems. Power which is given by god, explosiveness, perfect technique, unusual stamina on both muscular and cardiovascular aspects of boxing....... Its no wonder that mike Tyson couldn’t have had that much longevity in boxing....
At 40:52... everything larry Holmes said about Tyson pretty much turned out to be true.. Tyson still goes down in boxing history as one of the best
Holmes' prediction wasn't out of this world..... By the time Holmes fought him, fighters knew Tysons real story and the streets he came from. Tyson was arrested like 40 times by the time he was 12 or some crazy shit like that.... Cus was always having issues with him disappearing for days at a time and getting into trouble... He just kept it quiet and out of the papers for image..... The media painted a different picture to the public of Tyson in that era..... It was only once he was finally beat, went to prison for rape, etc. that the media spent more time writing pieces of his life falling apart, etc because drama sells.... Basically, they ate him up, praise them, and spit him out. Holmes prediction, although accurate, wasn't precognition or bold prediction out of left field..... He was just predicting the obvious.

At his BEST, head movement, foot movement, combination punching, body shots, and jabs to get in, Tyson was a frigging machine. I would like to have seen him fight Ali at Ali's best...but, I think Tyson would have won more often than not.
