- Join our day with Ryan Lay as we start at his house, talk about Skate After School, the non-profit he co-founded, hit some street spots and then actually go to a Skate After School session before we wrap the day's skateboarding up at Perry Park. Of course, some amazing Arizona landscapes to complete the experience are not missing. Enjoy.

Really appreciate people like Ryan Lay in the skate community. What a generous, intelligent dude. Also great style on the board.
I didn't know who Ryan Lay was but I seen him shooting for his recent video part and ask I could film for him and he didn't mind. I later end up running into him again at his community park. Such a humble skater, respect!
Such a good skate role model 💞
His steez on his switch game is impeccable…. Nollie master as well… Ryan is rad 💪🏽
Shout out to jerry hsu for having a great eye for brand aesthetics, and choosing sick riders to support.
Don’t buy product from brands just because you think you have to, but support the brands and skaters who truly inspire you ❤
People’s champ
Skaters like Ryan Lay are so important because skating comes first! Giving back to the community, or being active in your local scene, supporting each other, getting stoked on someone landing a trick they’ve been working at, helping out at a DIY. Shit you don’t think about that might make someone feel welcome, and push them to grow or give back. Keep the cycle alive and support skaters who support skating! Thank you Pocket for giving people like Ryan a voice/platform
If a warm hug was incarnated into a human it would be Ryan
Marco needs a Followed episode. This was so great
I love how much he does for the kids and is thinking how to make parks beginner friendly.
man, the definition of liking a pro more after you get to see how they live. I think Ryan is my new favourite skater. fav episode yet!!
I gasped with that fall. He fell like a sack of potatoes haha. The tricks at the double set were ballsy
Such a down-to-earth kinda guy, super chill, helping kids, just a cool dude. Much respect.
So hyped on Ryan. I remember seeing his Filmbot Files part years ago and loving it. Still love the parts he puts out.
this guy is a awesome human being i aspire to be more like him.
Aye we finna jump that fire hydrant after school😭
hell yeah i'm rooting for this guy. and his Etnies part is underrated af
Ryan is such a cool dude. And he got this flowy, fast, surfy style.
Love to see how this dudes giving back to the community!
Ryan gets me stoked! Such a pure good style. His PVWHL part still remains in my head with the Dylan song and his fedora lol. Plus his ender switch backside 360 on the bump. Which is still crazy. The fact that he also does the Skate After school and gives back to the community makes him that much more of an awesome dude. Great watch!
living his best life. love this dude 🙏🏻
beautiful production! gotta love Ryan and the aura around him! can't help but mix him up with Walker Ryan tho, both regular and both excel at switch too!
However, the way Ryan holds his right hand when he crouches before a trick stuck with me ever since that iPath video I saw with him, I think.
just like I remembered the 100 tricks video Ryan did at the first three-obstacle skatepark from this video
Ryan Lay is the man! And gotta love the skate After school! Much love from Germany
Loved this video, so good to see his passion for skating and being a part of the community
this might be my favourite episode yet. such an easygoing guy making a huge difference for so many people.
need more skatepark builders with that Ryan Lay mentality- appreciate the cool stuff people are building now a days but its wayyy too much. 2023 skatepark builders gotta keep it more simple and plaza-like, can't stand these "perfect" parks that are trying to squeeze a million obstacles (many of which would never find in real life street skating) in a 2000sq ft park
Nothing better than a chill plaza with a couple fun obstacles and a lot of flat ground
Ohhhh my god I love this so much - great work Ryan and Tim and everybody at pocket skate!!!!
Also that Nollie was major.
Ryan’s the best…hands down. Great watch
I can't wait for the next one to come out. ❤️
Casually so good. Love this dude
So sick! Ryan seems like a real genuine guy. Big fan of this series! Great episode

Been one of my favourites for over a decade now. Hyped he's getting the recognition he deserves & has found a good home in the skate world. Thanks for this, you're the man Ryan!
Last 4 minutes are the dopest part! non profit and giving back to the community
seriously one of the best humans alive, and we are just lucky enough he happens to be in skateboarding

As wholesome as it gets
Just to think that the first and last time I saw Ryan was when he was here in Utah for the "Filmbot files " video premiere. Remembering that little kid, became this awesome grown man makes me really proud! Keep on this fantastic work!!! 👏 😊🛹

Awesome video!! Ryan Lay is the goat!!
Man I’m in law school rn and have no time to skate and I am extremely jealous of Ryan Kay’s lifestyle 😂
I studied Law as well and If you are well organized you may skate at least three or four times a week
Rad dude. This was cool. Props to him, his organization, and Cowtown. These small parks are sick!
🙌
I skate perry and Mitchell every week and I love perry especially because I can learn new tricks without having to potentially die
big respect
Shouts Ryan Lay! I learned sw shuv 50/50 yesterday 🤗
Dope dude. Glad to see more positive role models in skating
Always great content!!
That fall was heavy!
having a dresser compartment in your trunk is a genius idea, i gotta set that up now lol
Hopefully it’s secured because if someone crashes into you with high speed it can seriously hurt you flying around in the car.
So good!!
Amazing. Great video!
amazing dude amazing skater
Props to this dude for the skate program for the yungin, in my country(Serbia) skate crew from a town named Kruševac(this pear crew) are dooing that kind of program sometimes and teaching kids to skate. Skatebiarding in serbia is i a bit of a weird spot and genaraly not too big yet and theyr dooing it moastly out of there pockets, theres a jenkem article on the diy sceen in serbia too so yall should definitly checki it out if you haven't. That nollie on the double set was sick af tho, dude rips.
I haven't seen him since Filmbot, but i distinctively remember him because of the great track they skated to.
Wow! That's a good memory! Just went back and watched The Filmbot Files, such a good video!
watching this type of video hypes me more than watching a video part

Ryan gets more and more funny as the video goes on
This guy has the right idea about skating. Keep it fun bro!!!
❤️
Skate After School ❤️ Such a good person he seems! Sick skater. This is what our brains should be filled with from CZcams. 🙌
Ryan, at 3:43, you most likely already know this with the smart people you go to see. But just in case, if you keep your foot and knee in line, making a 90° angle instead of bent like you have it, and keep your body facing straightforward, you will really feel the piriformis muscle. That's usually the one spot that throws all of the hip off, especially from running, and the one spot that can really only be hit if you're aiming for. 🙂🙌 Be well!
big fan
damn what a g🙏🏼
Good stuff.
Amen to parks with less packed in
Such a rad human.
Just a casual switch front feeble on a inward curved ledge to switch front blunt shove on the bar. Just casual warm up ish...
Got SMOKED by that hydrant, damn! 😂
Yah Ryna!
