I like how Kramer seems to be the only one who can hear her: it shows you how affection and understanding go together.
Yes but if you remember, Kramer is *always* the only one who never follows the POVs of Jerry, George and Elaine. Except of course when he agreed to repeat that funny voice saying, _Helloooooo... la la laaaa_
We all know low talkers, but I love how they go to the extreme and have her basically mouthing words.
We usually call them mumblers or whisperers.
I had them all the time when I worked in a housing association. Just low talkers leaning through the window to our office trying to tell us things I couldn’t even hear over the radio

one time i completely over compensated for being too quiet and that became a seinfeld sketch in itself ,
i turned to everyone as i was yelling and just declared '' DON'T WORRY I'M JUST REHEARSING FOR A SHOW !!! !''
thankfully the woman i was with forgave me for my antics !! lol!😅

The low talking actress was so good. They really sell it without it looking dumb.

Just last week I had to deal with a silent talker. Shit was hilarious. Didnt hear 90% of what she said, all I could say was "yeah, yeah"
We had a girl in our office like this. Morning meetings if she said anything people would just say "OK, sure" and change the subject. She lasted a month.
Im like that and I don’t know how to speak up. It’s so frustrating ughh

My brother is like this, I have to ask him like five times on what he said.
Which is weird because everyone else in our family speaks loud. I was regarded as the quietest kid in class and I still spoke louder lol
I once worked with a low talker, a friendly but diminutive Filipino dude. Once at a meeting (he was not present) his name came up as a possible candidate to head up some project and I just blurted out "Am I the only one who never knows what the hell he is saying?" Everyone in the meeting sort of gasped for a second and then bust out laughing because apparently everyone felt the same way but no one wanted to say anything.
She will have no trouble surviving in A Quiet Place.
Others in there with her will probably die a horrible death due to communication problems

One of my coworkers is a low talker but gets annoyed when you have to ask her to repeat herself. I finally felt bad and just nodded along and then she got more pissed because she figured out I didn’t actually know what she said.

@maxmalarky9917 I used to be a mumbler. I had to constantly repeat myself it was embarrassing as hell. It was also very aggravating. The key to breaking the cycle is to engage in the world a lot more, the more you do the more you come out of your shell.

My friend's dad was a low talker. My friend taking me to meet him for the first time says "he worked for years in Antarctica" and I'm like "I can't wait to hear about it", then we get there and he's literally like this. He's going hurmbmmrmbmrmrbmrmbr and I'm like "uh...yeah, ok...."
It was horrific.

Oh, my! I love this episode and Seinfeld Show.
Not trying to get anybody upset but I've been living in Germany and they have a lot of low talkers here. It's like a whole country trying as hard as they can not to sound like Hitler that they just talk so low that you can't hear them. Jerry's face is basically me for the last 5 years.
I doubt there are any low talkers in Italy though.

There is an old man who has a SLIGHTLY louder tone to his voice than hers at the shop where I work.
When I was new at this company, I thought it was the machines and fans that were drowning out his voice...
One day he approches me and whispers something while pointing at some paperwork I had worked on earlier. I had NO IDEA what he said, so I just said "Umm-Yeah." and he coughed to clear his voice! All I could make out was "What do you mean 'Yeah'? I'm telling you to..." and that's all I could make out after that! I walked away and pretended to be busy elsewhere.
I wasn't going to place my ear close to his mouth every time just to try to hear what he was saying 😅

I actually told someone directly that they are too soft spoken in noisy environments to be heard. He just said, “oh, well that’s just my normal voice. That’s how I talk.” Some people just do t get it.

Pretty much sums up most of my social interactions with people.
hey man some of us are soft spoken. its like when you scream when your ears are plugged. we just happen to have such good hearing that we hear ourselves as normal volume similar to what we hear from others so we speak normally ( from our view ). I see the problem I'm just offering the explanation. Us soft speaking people literally have no idea we're doing it because we can hear ourselves just fine and the distance between my voice to my ears is almost the same as to yours.
Everybody hears their own voice louder lol.

I always refer to this episode when refering to incedents of my first job:
I worked in a sandwich place and i did a phone order with a low talker. unfourtunately i screwed up her order and she started yelling at me (and i could finally understand her) and she asked me what my name was and what time i was working the next day

It sucks. You can tell a person like this over and over. Speak louder. You know I can't hear you. But they cannot change just like that. It's a psychological disorder.
its because we can hear ourselves just fine. Its like you screaming when your ears are muffled. when we try to speak louder it feels like we are performing on stage. That being said it might be psychological because honestly I can imagine my own voice really well even without speaking.
