      Whatever coach says. Don't be the "can I play this?" Guy. Your coach will put you in the position where he needs you the most.

    Does anyone have any tips for me I’m going into my freshman year next year I’m 6’0 and weigh 190 pounds I want to play d-end

    • @SRTJB
      @SRTJB Před 5 lety +1

      I'm going into my sophomore year now and im about the same weight and height but by how it sounds I imagine you have long arms use them to your advantage make sure you get off the ball aggressive and quick never run up the field make sure you squeeze to the play and break down to make your tackle its good to have a go to move but practice on your counter also and if you use a swim move make sure not to swim to high and most importantly stay low and make sure you dip your shoulder when coming off the edge against the offensive tackle like you should be grabing the grass with your shoulder low to the groud If you get what I mean

    • @SRTJB
      @SRTJB Před 5 lety +1

      And good luck on your first season man make sure you do your pushups trust me it helps out alot

      @sebastiansuarez8384 Před 5 lety +1

      This year I am playing Defensive End, I am 6'5 with 222 to 225 pounds. I plan to up my weight to 234 to 249 pounds. I suggest you get between 195 and 205 pounds. Best way: do a lot of pushups, squats and lunges. Defensive Ends need an imposing and intimidating presence. Your job as a defensive end is to pressure the quarterback. It's not just speed, its strength and good technique with your hands.

      Start by changing your user name into something more appropriate and respectful, young man. Work hard on and off the field, get good grades, learn the game, and be a competitor regardless of your size and weight.

      you're probably trolling since you're a junior and you're 5'4 150 but if you're telling the truth then lift more and eat more, gain some weight in muscle and fat and get faster.
