  • Escape techniques are techniques that are used by a player to evade a player while advancing up the field. Escape techniques are primarily used by defensive players to evade the blocks of the offense, but these drills also apply to wide receivers trying to evade a “Jam” technique from a defensive player. Players use a series of these escape technique drills daily to create muscle memory in their arms while doing these drills with a partner.

I am impressed with the coaching skills. Back in the day when I played at Arkansas, "coaching" was basically torturing the players in the blazing sun twice per day to induce rhabdomyolysis and see who survives to play the next game. At least one player died every season, usually from heat stroke. My father's idea of "coaching" was to make me wear a pink face guard so that I endure homophobic slurs. I eventually had to quit due to excessive bullying from my teammates. I have no idea why the regular coaches allowed my father's meddling with their coaching and modifying the uniform I wore.

I can't remember. But, it depends on how you read the offense. Some work and some don't depending if it's a run or pass.

If you are good and explode and knock the arms down, you're gone before that could happen. Ps I'd put a lineman in icu if they tried that on me.

I beg of you to answer me on this one!
I started with american football 1 month ago and I was put on a d line standing right in front of o line and I have a problem with going through a gap.
I do not understand how can I get him off of his balance because when the guy is low and has his arms on my shoulders I cant see a way to break out of his grip..I am 195 cm and 110 kg and I am pretty mobile for that kind of size...Thank you

@walkwithpride cuz in college u aint gonna push pull a 6'5" 315 lb lineman. push pull is strictly a high school move against smaller lineman. these are good moves demonstrated with terrible form but the idea is that if u can get a linemans hands off u he cant block u. get hands off u and beat em with ur feet

Daniel Jackola you can usually grab one and pull him down while creating separation with the other one by keeping your hand out and pushing him. But the whole key is to be aggressive and fast paced, make it hard for two people to block one guy.

Just a point..but you will be able to generate more force by having your club hit at the same time as your step. You loose a ton of explosion by bring the step late, as these players are in the video above.

I agree, they are lazy, show zero effort, a good o-lineman would show a good amount a resistance, and then if they tried that, they'd have a "o shit" moment, also, its good to start standing up, but I bet you those players couldn't do that coming off low out of a stance with pressure.
