The Wrath of Cortex wasn't a bad game, but it tried too hard to ride off the success of Warped.
My main problems with it were the load times and that some levels were somewhat difficult. My family had difficulty with it where as they had a lot less issues with Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 and 3. I agree with it being too similar to Warped.
The animation/graphics were so bad haha, is funny to think that it is the same console that had things like Resident Evil 4
CB4 is like Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, when you try to ride the success of the predecessor but you fail
The game is kind of a bore to play through. The levels are underwhelming and even Crash himself moves pretty slowly compared to the previous games. I mean just as one example, look at the mask invincibility in Warped, then in Wrath of Cortex. Look at the game over screen. Look at just about everything. It also tried a little hard to be the "edgy" Crash game with Crunch. Though I don't know if it's any worse than the more comedic approach in the later games which...just seemed awkward and weird.

The original trilogy simply awesome, CTR was so much fun, I remember little about Bash, Wrath of Cortex felt out of place, Twin Sanity and Tag Team Racing were hilarious I really enjoyed them and didn't play titan/mutant ones but as far I know I didn't miss much.... So excited for the remaster!

O'Fearghail the Fearless, well, I said, that SOME of previous projects with other animals failed, not every project. And, as I can see, even those projects, that kinda worked, had some problems, such as mental instability of Ripper Roo, the low intellectual level of Koala Kong and Tiny Tiger, so, as we can see the most successful creations were Pinstripe and Dingodile.

-Explosive mode: Where Nitro and TNT-boxes are everywhere.
-Added moves: Unlockable mode where you can play Crash 1 with added moves from 2+3.
-Night mode: Remember those dark levels where you need a mask or firefly to light up around Crash? Unlock Night mode in some level.
-Bonus level Maker: Make and share Bonus levels.
-Other playable characters: Play as Cortex, Coco, Ripper Roo, Tiny etc. (each play differently)
-Ghosts: Race your best ghost, upload ghosts, or play against your friends ghosts.
-Skins: Unlock skins such as: PS1 Classic Crash, Mascot Crash (from the old commercials), Japanese Crash, Fake Crash, Biker Crash, Space Crash, Pilot Crash, Scuba Crash.
-Trophies.

Twinsanity and tag team racing were the last two good games character looks and personality wise. Sky landers and the reboot actually made me happy about their designs again
According to the third game, this says that Crash Bandicoot is set in New Zealand, even if Bandicoots live in Australia.

We still have the games as well, but never owned CB1 or Bash. My grandparents have CB1, though.

Not really, though, since it's more of a timeline split after Warped. Besides, there's also characters from Crash Twinsanity (Nina), Crash Tag Team Racing (Chick & Stew), Crash Nitro Kart (Velo), and the GBA titles (N. Trance) in Crash: It's About Time as well. Though, since Wrath of Cortex came first and that side of the timeline was the one that introduced all those characters, it's still the 4th mainline game in the Crash Bandicoot series, and not It's About Time.
