- Hasbro sending out the Rita Repulsa from the Power Rangers Lightning Collection. I can't even understand how they pulled this one off. The likeness and details of this Power Rangers Rita are perfect. If you're a Power Rangers fan then you definitely need to get this one.

Great review. I think the bigger box is Hasblow trying to justify a "deluxe figure". She always called the staff a magic wand. Which was weird. LoL! The last face is her headache after defeat face.

Some of these Lightning Collection figures are surprisingly good to the point that they're almost comparable to import stuff. Even the wave 1 Lord Zedd is a step ahead, but especially now with this Rita, Finster, Pudgy Pig. The rangers are well done too, but their costumes are so simplified that these villains by comparison get so much more put into them. Goldar and Scorpina could have been on their level too with deeper gold colouring.

@@thomasgoesnostalgic I snagged him for 65% off from the US Amazon along with the Astronema/Ecliptor two pack. Crazy how good that deal was. I paid about half as much as I would have from Amazon or at Canadian retail here, even with shipping, exchange rate, and the currency fee.
Even without sales or what not, he's smaller so normally costs the same as the regular rangers just as the Tenga/Tengu did which is pretty nice.
Cloth is cheaper than sculpts, so this is how thy can include so many accessories. Almost no tooling because body is a reused power rangers body.
That makes sense. A rare case where we, the buyer, wins out on their choices

I used to watch Power Rangers as a kid in the 90s and never was big on the toy line, but dang this figure might change my mind, or at least I'll pick up this and maybe one ranger 😄

Yeah, with this new deluxe series it seems they are doing away with waste swivel for an ab crunch and the chest is on an upper ball joint for the turn and more forward/back articulation. The new Black Widow figure does this as well and at first I was skeptical “no waist swivel c’mon!?” but it works really well.

Im glad that inwaited for a review. I had it on order, canceled it for fear that it would be trash. Happy to hear and see that Rita is really good. Will be reordering very soon.

I got her to and I was so impressed. I was like wow this figure is insanely good and I feel the same way you do about hasblo. Like the legends team needs to get the power rangers team to work on their figures. This figure is like leaps and bounds better then any thing from the legends line.

I got the first release when she was double packed with Zedd. She sits in their box to this day. I’m not too bothered if the line is going on hiatus for the year, though. Some of Hasbro’s choices are maddening for this line. If you want an accurate Green Ranger, you need to buy like three different figures. Each release has had some problem or omission. Power Rangers is a great childhood line for me and I want to see it succeed.

Where are the Machine Empire's monarchy? Darkonda? Gluto, Frax, Nadira, and Ransik? Captain Mutiny, Treacheron, Barbarax, Slugsworth, Trakeena, and Deviot? Zeltrax? Grumm and his daughter? And then all of the monsters of the week like Lipsyncher, Hate Master, Silo, Mirlock, etc. The grunts for every series?
But they'll do tons of crossover crap we never asked for like some trash called Cobra Kai that uses the same bodies as the ninja team that is collecting dust on Target's clearance endcaps.
@@reiddutchess9955 Hasbro out did their selves with Green Ranger. The new Deluxe Green Ranger does not come with the Dragon Shield. You have to buy Deluxe Red Ranger to get it! It's like Hasbro has a game with Lightning collection, of how far they can troll the collectors without them leaving the line.

Hasbro has been surprising collectors recently with some pretty banger figures, the issues as always is the inconsistency in quality, quantity and effort that is put into any given line.
I'm not a Power Rangers collector but even I have to admit that it's a damn good figure. Hopefully this is not an exception but signs that things are changing for the better over there.

Different Hasbro Brands do have vastly different levels of quality and value added accesories. Because their done by different teams, the power rangers line goes a bit further with effect parts and accessories than marvel legends and Black Series for sure.
I only have a couple since I'm not a big Power Rangers guy. Green Ranger Shredder is Amazing.
Though they do have absurd prices for Megazords.

Marvel and Star Wars also lack accessories due to the licensing costs from Disney. Power Rangers and GI Joe are inhouse brands, so there is no license to pay for.
Hasbro's Power Ranger team is filled with people who hate the line. And only show any interest if it's MMPR related to cater to the casuals

Happy to see she turned out pretty good. I’m still waiting on mine to ship, but thankfully I have less worries about how mine will be. Also waiting on the the Super7 Rita. Seen one in-hand pic of her and she seems to have turned out decently too. Probably not as nice as Hasbro’s, but Hasbro is on their second attempt at Rita.
Dang, I hope the Super7 is good, because they fail constantly with human faces. The recent GI Joe is awful, but not as bad as the Green Ranger.
I don’t usually use the human heads on my power rangers figures, but those heads on wave one rangers really had me worried about Rita. Thankfully the one Rita I saw seemed ok, but that was just one example. Super7 really needs to step up and do better on those human faces though.

While this is tempting, I already have the first release and the S7 Ultimates Rita. Had she come with the Dumpster I would have picked this up instantly but alone it's not offering enough when I already have the other 2. Nice figure though!

Well you see, they used a huge box because they wanted to save money and the environment by using no plastic. Obviously that means they need to use twice the required amount of cardboard and ink. Duh 😅 Thank you for the review as always!

The Deluxe figures have new head sculpts. They seem to lean towards the comic books than reality.
So the likenesses are softer, and a little more appealing. They are worth at least looking a review.
The box size is to differentiate a higher price point figure from the standard $25 figure, nothing more.

This figure is fantastic. A shame I can't justify buying it now that they have put the line on a year-ish long hiatus. At least, at full price. If I see here at Target for like $12, I'll bite. She does put the original to shame.

That's becasue they tend to clearance them as soon as they get them. The last wave of deluxe figures arrived at my Targets at the end of April and were on clearance 3 weeks later. Then they restocked them last month at full price, and now they're on clearance again.
