Great method - thanks for posting. One safety note - those concrete blocks can fail instantly and without warning. Probably not likely on a boat that size but I still never use them the for any kind of blocking. Go boat stands or wood all the way.
Most definitely. On a boat this size, just to remove the trailer it’s fine. Anything bigger, I’d double up the concrete blocks and stack them in opposite directions. Boat stands are really the best for the job. And to go even further which I should’ve mentioned, would be to chain the stands together so they don’t slide out. Thanks for the comment! 🤙
@@perfectfitboating I started Good Seamaritan Rescue in Stratford Connecticut at the mouth of the Housatonic River where it meets Long Island sound in 1958 with a 13 ft Boston Whaler... Yes, the boat is very light. Under 1k pounds. The purpose of the blocks in the video is just to show you can use them (although wood cribbing is better) but boat stands all around is what is being used. With larger boats I’d recommend only boat stands. 🤙
If we can get a trailer company to work with us, then that would be the plan. We might just fix this one up for now. It’s an aluminum trailer with a torsion axle so it might be worth putting some money into it. I mean we drove it over 150 miles home at 70+ mph and it pulled perfectly. 🤣
Dude! There's two of you. Loll. Very informative and great video. Blessed brother ❤
Only me this time bro! 🤣 too hot today for Aliey Hahhaha🤙

Right - forgot about the chains. Great idea!
You make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing. See you at the Boat Show. 😊
♥️♥️♥️
Perfect timing! I need to re-carpet the bunks on my trailer. Thanks for posting this! 🤙🏼
Youre very welcome! Glad it could help! 🤙
I just went through this. I left my boat at anchor for a couple days while I had some trailer repairs done. I was so paranoid!
We know the feeling! You feel helpless and paranoid! If you have the space, this is the way to go for sure! 🤙
looking forward to the skiff rebuild!!
Thanks Gregory! We start next week so we’ll have a video up within the next week or so! We can’t wait! 🤙
easy way to get the boat off the trailer!! awesome!!
Thanks brother! 🤙
Some junkyard tires will work just fine... We used them at the boat dealership in the 50s and 60s😊😊😊
That’s awesome! Cheap and it works! 🤙
@@perfectfitboating Almost 80 years old, I remember it like it was yesterday🤔 thanks for taking the time to respond 👍
Thanks incredible Dwight! I’m sure you’ve seen a thing or two! And can show us youngins more than a thing or two! Thanks for watching! 🤙

if you are going to use concrete blocks, at least turn them in the correct direction!! you are set up for failure in this scenario brother.
We didn’t use the concrete blocks. We used the boat stands. Not a failure. 🤙
Hey, I was about to say the same thing. Lol, I was waiting on the collapse!
Keep waiting 🤙
First thing I noticed!!! 🥴
The concrete blocks are in their weakest position. With this small boat that probably doesn't matter. It matters a lot with larger boats.

Are you going ultimatly to a another trailer?
