I think he misses the point that if a person is truly converted, God will sanctify him, making him holy. If a person spends their entire Christian life with no sign of holiness, they would be wise to question whether they're really saved or not. He would do well to read the likes of Matthew Henry and other writers from days gone by when being a Christian meant something.
