I'm glad the water wasn't 6 inches deeper or you may have ended up with your wadders full of water. it appears to me that those are some mean and angry dam beavers! Couldn't ask for a better job of opening up the dam and watching the water rushing out...an amazing current and lots of flow.

you really do need to make the opening bigger each time you dig it out it will make the beavers work a lot harder and take longer to build
In my case where I don't have a lot of time, it's better to get it deeper so more water can drain out making it harder for them to float material down the creek. The other thing is it's alot harder than you think to get it wider once the water pressure isn't helping.

You might find an extension for your rake. I find it very peaceful
I know that you believe in creating a channel one channel for the creek but in this situation I would tear out two or three channels because of that one is so deep and it's such a beast😂
Lol I would but once the water pressure isn't there to help flush out where you start digging a new channel, it's much more harder to get it opened up and flowing! Lol

Indeed this is a Remastered video and I like to do these around the time that its been a year old and I can put the parts together to get a full small like movie of it in its entirety! But for the longest, the beavers definitely never rebuilt but only about 3 or 4 times maybe and until this day I don't know what it looks like out there right now because its been about 5 months since I've checked on it! We definitely need to check on it! Appreciate cha way in the Netherlands!

Terrell your Big old snapping turtle 🐢 will dig into holes in the bank. Ole timers use to catch them by pulling them out of their holes. My daddy knows a man that lost a couple of fingers doing that when he was young.

If you remove the sides first it will help with removing the center as it weakens the overall structure. Also prevents them from having a good foundation to rebuild so quickly

I don't know because of what state you're in I don't know what where to get them but there's chest waders that have a drawstring on them that you can pull tight like your drawstring pants and stuff I think you can get them at Cabelas or or Dick's Sporting Goods to close the chest off to where he did fall and has Deepwater it won't fill your chest

You don't need to totally remove it, You don't know the benefits want beavers do for the environment for other wildlife; you just wanna have dessert and death trees etc. Just manage the level of water when it rains and to me this waste of water.
