I want to add a note of explanation here because I live near the river. He mentioned tides. The lower half of the Hudson River is actually an estuary of the Atlantic Ocean, so it has 2 tides per day. The river flows mostly in eastern New York State, dividing New York and New Jersey and flowing into the ocean.
Flows into the Ocean, possible logs could be a shipping hazard?
This shows how constant hard work achieves fitness gym junkies will never know. Well done.
Wow!!! Even with a chainsaw! a true man on a mission! You are the best!
Thanks 👍
You certainly are a hard working man! Your community is lucky to have you!
I appreciate that!
I can’t complement you highly enough for the extremely hard work you put into clearing that culvert. Your determination and commitment to complete that task is just awe inspiring. I hope you felt a huge sense of pride in what you accomplished.
Thank you!
So many of us including myself see things around us that we feel need addressing and we complain about it but never do anything. If we all started doing just a little bit more to address these issues we’d be in a much better world.
you deserve at the very least the medal of honour for the wonderful work you have put into this culvert and the stream in general. I applaud you .
I second that emotion 💯✊💯✊
Wow, thank you!
Where on the Hudson are you? I grew up in Red Hook right across from Kingston
Thanks for using a chainsaw. I was really afraid you were not going to. Sometimes you need a machine and this was one of those times. Your hard work really shines.
Nice work. As a suggestion for the culverts that you visit multiple times, it would be nice if you did a short clip show at the end showing how the culvert looked before and after each of the previous visits, as well as the current visit.
Good idea!
I think at some point, you must be running on sheer will! I'm sitting here in the AC, with a cup of tea and watching you wore Me out. That pile up just keeps giving. Just when it looks like you've cleared it, you find More under the mud. Thank you for another Great job and video! 👍
great job. your safety is paramount. chainsaws are ok, but when you become complacent, that's when things go wrong.
Omg.... they're ok but .... gimme a break! He using a chain saw, not trying to catch poisonous snakes for Christ's sake. Millions of people use them every single day city boy. Get back to your safe space.😢😢
What an awesome job you've done to this culvert, hard work but worth it. Great job.👏
Thanks 👍
I drove over that culvert every workday for 20 years. Next time I go that way I will stop and admire your work. Love your channel and trying to figure out exactly where you're working. Keep up the great job.

Top Job. Very satisfying to watch it flow so smoothly. Thanks for listening to your subscribers. Keep doing as the comments roll in. You made a difference to water flow.
HE MAY SWEEP DIRT UNDER CARPET....CAUSE THOSE BIG HEAVY LOGS ARN'T GOING TO GROW FEET...THE';L ALLL JAM UP /NOT FAR AWAY WATERS TOO SHALLOW
@@tomortale2333They’ll wash out on the high tide.
That was a Herculean project! Wow- what a difference
I admire the way you handle a chain saw, you let the saw do the work, it always puzzled me why someone would make sawing motions using a machine that could do the work for you.
Thanks for taking us along for the final unclogging of this water stream. Those were major heavy logs. Keep us posted on future visits to this site. Much appreciated. You’re a good man. ❤
Will do!
Just a awesome Human he is for sure🙏🏻💯✊👍🤟💫🤔
Hi. In fact, this job would not be easy without the chain saw.
Great job - greetings from Poland 🙂👋🦾
next to the relaxing sound of flowing water, the sound of the chain saw comes pretty close to it. Great job.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ohhhh I’ve been hooked on watching this series! Great work!
Glad you enjoy it!
Strong work Mike!
That was a workout and a half 💪🏻
Massive difference over the two videos...
Appreciate it!
What an astonishing and extremely difficult job you’ve done. My hats off to you.👍👍😊😎
I second that 💯✊💯
Thank you so much 😀
Well done, thanks to you for cleaning up the water 💧 way. The river is used for many purposes. You 😊 😃 have done a great service 👏 👍 👌 😀 😂🎉😊.
There is always more than it looks on the camera at first. Great job, man!
What a massive task that was. You made the best decision to drain it down a bit before you hit it with the chainsaw.
Will be interesting to see how it progresses over time and to see how the flow of the river moves more mud and sticks from the mouth of the culvert.
Keep up the good work my friend
Great Job Bud 👍👍The Beavers will be really annoyed now 😂😂Perfect Clearance 👍👍
My back cringed every time you lifted or pushed the heavier logs! You've done a great job! You deserve a spa day 😂
That's a lot of work, but very satisfying work I bet - I know it would be for me. Thank You for sharing.
It really is!
the chainsaw was very useful, but muscle power was essentially needed. Maximum effort 💪💪💪you have probably removed 8 tons of debris, including your first unclogging. 👏👏👏👏
I can't help but think of the kindling and firewood that i would gladly load in a pickup and take home. Family fun by the fire with hot dogs and marshmallows!
Glad to see the chain saw smaller is better easier on the body too. That answers one of my questions. Thanks
Well done! You absolutely rocked this culvert! I can't wait for the next one! Stay safe! 😊
Thanks so much!
It would be nice to see this site when the tide is up. Thanks
Those were some big ole logs you cleared out. Great job 👏 🎉
This was one of the best ever video. Thank you so much for sharing your hard work with us. The city should definitely pay you for doing their job.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good for you, gloves, and more help where needed🎉🎉🎉🎉. Thank you, now I will watch.😂😂. Awesome job.
Such a hard task.
Sir, as long as you take your time and think of your next step you shouldnt get injured.
I respect the hard work you do.
I watch a few other channels where they tear out beaver dams but never seen any of them tear out the monster tree limbs like you just demonstrated.
My personal rating to you 5 stars!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Way to finish that up! Have a great weekend! Stay safe and stay healthy!
I know there are beaver's and they will stop up creeks , pounds but i never knew how bad they that they stop up things until i watched you clearing out what they did, they really made a big mess, they put every stick and tree they could find to stop up the water from going through the tunnel and you have done a great job cleaning it out, you are a very strong man man to do all that work that you did may the Lord bless you 🙏
Thanks for this updated vid. That chain saw really helped you out.
That was definitely a better workout then going to the gym. 🙂 Great job.
Definitely!!
That is one old clog. Great job, brother.
Thanks 👍
not sure if you could do it but it would be interesting to see a time lapse of the tide coming in at this angle.
Yea before and after clean - up shots 💯✊💯
Hey there buddy. Hell of a good job on that culvert sir. Big time logs and branches etc. to cut and move. I don’t even live in your state, but I thank you for your hard work clearing that mess. Been watching for a bit now. Well done.
Thanks 👍
Awesome You Got It All!!! You do a great service to your Town/County
even with a chainsaw that was a lot of work! Maybe I've missed it but I'd like to see the outflow part of the culvert, where all that debris is going to go.
2 videos prior
Great job. That was a lot of work
Thanks 👍
I'll free you one year of income tax for doing this job if i'm the city mayor.
Much Respect ✊ Sir
I’ll pay to sharpen your chain.
Really great job. Fun to watch your progress!
Thanks a bunch!
Much Respect for your work you are appreciated sooo much✊💯✊💯👍🔍🤔
And you did it all by yourself! Incredible.
It was really satisfying to see you do this final clearing! Wow, what a difference you have made in this whole waterway since you started filming for us (and before, I am sure). Thank you so much for making a difference. And someday, I really would like to see out over the Hudson at the end of this waterway. I am not familiar with the area at all, just curious. Hope you and the family have a wonderful weekend!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job as always.
Well done on that massive clearance x
Wow! What a difference you made! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
That's an excellent job done. Surprising how much big stuff was still hidden beneath that relatively shallow water. Very wise of you to delay using the chainsaw until the final clear up.
I've found when getting rid of dam framework pieces, bucking logs to about 3-5 foot length are usually not going to cause problems farther downstream.
Nice job on that "Jack-strawed" mess
... Great work you do !! just a suggestion - safety glasses , chainsaw don't care where it spits stuff ... safe travels ...
I’ve just found this video, saw the first one already. Great work as usual”.
Awesome, thank you!
Well my last comment was put your back into it. You came back and tore it up. EXCELLENT WORK!
Thanks again!
Good job. If you cut and pushed the big log. You could use water to move every thing. Would love to be there to help. Good project for sure. Oh yes i am a 75 year old woman. Raised with 5 brothers. Loved every thing they taught me.
Wow did not think of how loud it would be in the culvert with the chainsaw! Another great job on the river!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Chainsaw to the rescue. You too Mike!😊
Another great video, and a job well done.keep up the good work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Good thinking about the chainsaw😊
Great effort. Please be careful operating a chainsaw on your own in a remote location.
I’m sitting here quietly screaming “CHOP IT!”. The kids are currently asleep and I don’t want to wake them! Thank you so much for the much needed relaxation.
Love it!!
Wow!! An amazing job. Thanks for posting love it.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍

Can't wait for the next video after a decent rain event, the water will get rid of that mud and rubbish.
Ally or vids are great you put some hard work seen them at 3 times don’t forget your never alone with a chainsaw cheers from uk
When you cut the logs into 5' pieces, they are so easy to handle.

First things first. Go check on the turtle. Cutting up those tree trunks took only eleven minutes. Wow, the time you saved.
Well done Sir.
