So why do you always rub it in at the beginning of your videos that you live in Brussels and I don't! :) This was a wonderful video and the art in this deck is lovely, but it has some of that geometric aspect that Thoth decks have that I just can't warm to, which may be why I can't get into that system. And I need to decide if I want to understand the value of connecting Kabbalah to tarot as I'm not particularly spiritual. I guess I want to focus on the tarot system and react to the card art as art, not as a spiritual calculation...does that make any sense? But I so admire your ability to do deep dives into the systems and you're so good at it. Thank you!
I wouldn't mind a swap... you have Twilight with all those moody good looking vampires... I got moody pigeons here... The geometric aspects play an important aspect in the Thoth system but I understand it may not be for everyone. I am glad there are different ways to read tarot and nothing is a must... I have the guidebook Tarot of the Spirit, which I really like. It focuses on using the deck as a tarot- Divinatory Meanings, Meditation, Interpretation and Card Symbology. I pulled this deck and book back out in January. I'm going back to the first decks I ever bought and looking at them with fresh eyes and some experience with tarot under my belt. I have Kabbalah and the Tarot of the Spirit on my wishlist. Do your read with this deck or is it more of a study deck for you? Thank you for this wonderful video!
I haven't read with the deck so much but I think I should do expand my experience more with it. Pamela does provide some tips reading with spreads, etc. I absolutely love it as Thoth study deck. I am glad you like it too. I would definitely recommend the book. Thank you for watching!

I have the other book associated with this deck, which contains less of the esoteric correspondences and focuses on mainly on the card descriptions (meditations). Like you, this deck is an anchor for my studies, especially when I feel called to deep dive and pathwork with a particular key.
Thank you for this in depth journey into the Tarot of the Spirit. I have the deck waiting for study, and I also have the "smaller" guidebook titled "Tarot of the Spirit". Now I see that I need to get this book because the one I have has very little Kabbalah in it. I don't see how the deck could be studied without deep diving Kabbalah, so I'm grateful for your video as I can now get this book. The one I have goes through all the cards and has meditations in it, so it works as a tarot guidebook. I think this deck goes so much deeper into the fabric of existence and has been created through journeying the paths. I'm so happy that I didn't start my study with the wrong guidebook. I have this deck and one of the books but didn’t know there was a giant book combining three volumes, so thank you so much for sharing your journey; I had already planned on depth study with this deck etc at some point and this makes me even more excited about it. I have a variety of separate books on Quabalah, as many of us in Tarot do, plus the Golden Dawn, and Q is part of the SKT study as well, but I like the idea of diving in with Eakins’ work as a more unified approach that has been decades in the creation. Interesting about Shimmering Veil … and it may be something to do with the creators living and learning Tarot in the same generation?
