00:17 Getting the butter out of the oven
00:35 Preparing the peaches
02:10 Preparing the batter
04:05 Adding the batter and peaches to the pan
05:48 Tasting the dessert
INGREDIENTS
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 2 cups peeled and sliced peaches
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 2/3 cup milk
INSTRUCTIONS
Add the butter to a 9×9 baking dish. Set the baking dish in the oven and preheat the oven to 350°F. Once the butter is melted in the oven, remove the baking dish, 4-6 minutes. Set the baking dish aside while preparing the batter.
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. Whisk to incorporate evenly. Add the milk and whisk until smooth.
Pour the batter into the baking dish with the melted butter. There is no need to stir. Add the sliced peaches directly on top of the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven until the cobbler is golden and set in the middle, 45-55 minutes. Once baked, remove from the oven and cool 15 minutes before serving.

That Peach 🍑 Cobbler Looks De 🍴🍴.
@@donalddavis6689 I baked it tonight, wonderful recipe. I'll definitely be putting this in my recipe file to make again!
You do great videos son and this granny appreciates you! 👍🏼💖💋
Hey everyone, my favorite way of making this is to layer the fruit on top of the melted butter first, and *then* carefully layer the batter over the top, then a dusting of sugar. This gives the final product much more of a crisp top. I’ve made this both ways many times and trust me… fruit first then batter is far better! The same critical rule applies either way: never stir the butter at the bottom!
Also, I recommend using self-rising flour (White Lilly brand is very good). I also use buttermilk instead of regular milk, which activates the baking powder and provides an excellent texture to the crumb.
This is such a forgiving recipe, you can’t go wrong. I personally use a bit more flour for a slightly thicker batter, and less sugar because I like semi-sweet desserts, but it’s all good no matter what, it will turn out well (just don’t stir the butter! (LOL).
I have to use lactose free milk with every thing I make, but have never found it to make a difference. Today is a Thursday and I will be making this Saturday so I have to be getting a few things I need. I am having my adult kids and grandkids over for a summer meal. My dil just got the the ok from her oncologist that she is cancer free after being stage 4 after giving birth 2 years ago to our 2nd grandchild, so since the family loves mom’s cooking. I’m making a big brisket and all the summer salads and two desserts the peach cobbler and a rich chocolate cake to appease my chocoholic husband who has been whining for a month now. His cardiologist had made me promise to watch his sugar intake, but me baby refuses to listen, but I’m making his favorite chocolate/ mayo cake cake to shut his whining ass up! . He’s worse than a woman with pms. I call him pms. Pissy mens disease ! And boy does he have it bad ! He’s had a massive coronary once and he’s pushing one one me soon with his whining! I’ve seen colic babies that didn’t whine as much as him! My son got him a license plate with pms on it , but he will have to put it on his car since my husband will never use it. His sense of humor isn’t what it used to be before his coronary. Forget about him dying, he’s killing us! 😅
I watch ur videos just to make me happy 😃 something about u makes me happy
I made it today with canned peaches. I didn’t have any milk so I used a can of evaporated milk. Wow, it was so good!
I live in Kentucky and we call that cobbler a cup, a cup ,a cup. A cup of sugar, a cup of milk and a cup of flour and then add your fruit. It's delicious and on a week night fast. Love your videos.
Thanks!
Right
I tried it last night for dinner… asked my kid to turn the oven off while I was changing the baby’s diaper… hit the wrong button and burnt it so bad even the Pyrex broke 😭… but I remember your whispering: breakfast 😆 so I tried again this morning… It’s so easy, fast and YUMMY! 🥰 😍… I love your videos!
This is the peach cobbler I grew up with. And I’m with your grandpa - eat it in a bowl with milk on top. Yum yum!!
My Mom taught me how to make this type cobbler many years ago she always called it the lazy man's cobbler. Easy and my fav😋
I do this too. Only I use a boxed white or yellow cake mix. Turns out great.
My gma and mom always made their peach cobbler this way! And now I do ❤ fast, easy, and delicious!!
This was awesome, minor note for your consideration:
You may consider giving us the entire ingredient and measurements list at the beginning, that'd be the best
I just checked my peaches. Ready! I will be making this in the morning!!!
Born and raised in New England, and I LOVE milk on cobblers of any kind! That looks delish.
granpap poured milk on his cake too.
We have a similar recipe for fruit cobbler, but it contains an egg and uses sour cream instead of milk and less butter. It also contains nutmeg as well as cinnamon and vanilla extract in the batter. Same, same but different
Peaches are my favorite. We would pick 5 gallon buckets full of peaches till we got a truck load in season. Then cut and freeze them so we had fresh peach cobbler even in fall and winter. Growing up my family had a coffee shop that served three meals a day 6 days a week and everything was made from scratch.
I've made this exact same recipe for years except Blackberry. I need to try it with peaches!! Looks amazing!
my dad would also put milk over some pie and cobblers too, he was from Nova Scotia . seems to be a thing thete aswell! looks delicious!
Everything you make is better than most other recipe postings because you are the sweetest and you cook with love!😊🙏🏼💕
Now I know what I am serving this weekend to our guests..thank you! How do you stay so fit?! ☺️ seriously?
I made today with fresh peaches and it’s the most delicious cobbler I had.
So good!!! It is exactly the simple and simply delicious and versatile recipe I wanted for making peach snd other fruit cobblers. I can see using the same batter and technique with any number or variety of fruit and/or berries. I used plant milk in mine (it worked out fine!), and added a large dollop (about a quarter cup) of sourdough starter discard to the batter (it was feeding day) and it added just the right touch of yummy sour flavor (almost as if I added a dollop of sour cream). I also dusted the top with a cinnamon/sugar mixture 10 minutes before baking was done, then retuned the pan to the oven to complete the baking. That added a nice, crisp topping. Excellent! Thanks for sharing this classic recipe! ❤
You had me at “lazy”! Haha
Trying this tonight! I have fresh tart cherries on hand, so I’m thinking I’ll use those instead 🤔 Love your channel!! 💕
I just made this and it is definitely in my top 10 favorite desserts.
Thanks for sharing the recipe! First time making a peach cobbler and first time tasting it!
“Cobbleryness” a la mode! My favorite. YUM! Reminds me of bird’s nest pie. 😉
Breakfast of the gods 👍🏼❤️
Yes. I'm going to make this tomorrow. And yes, I love your grand daddy. My mother always poured milk on her blackberry cobbler.❤

Looks so good! I have tried a few of your recipes and so far loved every one! The other day I followed your beet canning video. I already opened a jar and the beets are fantastic! I love them with cottage cheese.
Mine's in the oven!!! So excited for my family to try this it looks so good and was so easy to put together. I used drained canned peaches for mine. I'll let you know the results when it's done. Thanks so much for sharing such a lovely, simple recipe!!!
Yum! Can't wait to try! Thank you!
OMG! A great recipe. Love love love it.
Just the recipe I need today. Thanks

I have a frozen blueberry version in the oven right now. Yum.
You are a joy!
The best I've seen. Looks good. Make a cobbler fast for company. Thanks
LOVE your content, glad I found your channel!
Looks so good, I'm wondering if I can sub almond flour for the wheat flour to avoid gluten. I have a gluten sensitive friend.
It is soooo good❤
Truth about the salt...since I have been on a reduced salt i taste the difference...thanks looks so good and easy
Delicious 🤤
thanks for the video
Yes yes yes thank you
You are making me hungry haha, love it! I’m a huge fan :) subscribed to your channel 😋
WOW ! ..... doing it !
Look so delicious, I was wondering if you could cook that in a crock pot. I absolutely love your videos thank you so much for sharing.❤
Looks sooo delicious 😋 wrote down the recipe!! 📖✏️
Would you consider, WITH the cinnamon, a slight teenie tiny amount of nutmeg? I don't know...
This is what I grew up calling cobbler. We made this often sometimes with peaches that my grandma canned. This recipe is almost identical, I usually add a little vanilla to mine. We also used to make it with grandma's canned apples.
Thanks for the tip!
I made it yesterday and it was really delicious and simple!! Thank you for this recipe! I actually doubled it and used only 3/4 cup of sugar for the whole thing and it came out just right. I think it would be way too sweet if I added 2 cups.
I apologize. I was watching on my TV. I'll have to watch on my phone. Thanks 😊
Good video.
Even lazier clobber is just to us Yellow cake mix… add simple syrup to get the mix moist with fresh peaches…
With canned peaches, you’re good to go!
Hi thankyou
It’s in the oven🎉🥳
Caleb do you do a clafoutis?
awe some video
Breakfast Yes😋
I make something very similar to this, but I use rhubarb, and of course being rhubarb, I use more sugar, than you would use for peaches. As for using milk or cream, this Iowa boy's Mom made warm milk cake for strawberry short cake, and used milk or half & half on it.
My dad pours buttermilk over Fritos and eats them with a spoon. He's from Oklahoma.
I hate when the bowl isn't wiped clean too 😅. Looks delicious!
🍑 Peaches = Summer 🍑 Q.: ...Kaleb, do you have a favorite peach tree there? A favorite pear 🍐 tree? ...A favorite apple(s) tree(s)? ...🌳You know, where you just know the fruit will be sweet... I love the idea of lazy/quick cobbler... If you had a few plump blueberries laying around 🔵🔵, you could throw them in, too? We have some peaches here on the counter, just needs time to fully ripen... Cobblers are a wonderful way to start the day as breakfast... why not... fruit preserves are lucious in any form... tyvm
How do you think... can I freeze it? Not baked and bake it in winter
I'd like multi berry cobbler also.
😋
Time to dig out the ice cream maker (with a built in compressor) and make vanilla ice cream to go with this cobbler. Local peaches are just now showing up in central Ohio.
Some of us work off recipe portions. Would you please give amounts of ingredients? Thank you.
Can I use buttermilk?
I’m new to these. Is it always 2 cups of fruit, no matter what fruit I use? I have frozen blueberries atm.
I don't eat dessert often 😂
But tonight IAM doing this 😂
But I'm mixing
PEACHES AND APPLES
YES I'M KINDA CRAZY 🤣
Can you help me with your Lazy Peach Cobbler. I have a baking dish that is 13inx9inx2in. how long should it cook?
👏👏👏👍
👏👏👏👏👏🌹
Off camera, add ice cream. Lol
🥰✅
My favorite way with Peach Cobbler is with ice cream, but my second favorite way is like your Grandpa, milk or cream. Midwesterner’s way I think (I’m in southwestern Ohio).
LOVELY #drcook
Same recipe
Frozen ?
Nowhere do I see or hear what temp to bake it. The written recipe doesn't even state. 350° or 375°???
Mango?
My Dad put milk on his cobbler. Maybe a depression thing? Or just an old person thing...LOL. Ice cream was probably hard to come by back in the "old days". Milk wasn't.
"hardly call it a batter, because it's so easy and simple" 🤣 to make a batter is easy and simple 😂🤣
He seems a little light on his feet but I tried his recipe and it worked out great
I need measurements of the ingredients. Looks great just can't follow along and cook with you
The full amounts are listed in the description of the video or you can find them here: www.wyseguide.com/lazy-peach-cobbler/
Why aren't you giving the measurements of ingredients?
They are all in the description of the video.
So your show says peach cobbler recipe but yet you don’t tell us the amount of ingredients you use you just keep saying a little bit of this and a little bit of that?
That is not lazy peach cobbler. It is peach puff pudding. My mamaw used to make it all of the time and so did my dad.
I enjoyed your beautiful video but I wish you would stress vegan on that milk no reason to use real butter or real milk, we all need to recognize the horrors of the dairy industry. I made the switch last year and my plant based butter works just as well as regular and my extra creamy oatmilk is a perfect substitute for milk and it's all cruelty free!
Frozen?
