    Because there’s no anti-tank weapon, I like that the tanks are practically invulnerable to small arms fire, since that’s realistic, and don’t think that should be changed. As it stands tanks are OP due to them not having a counter, I think tanks cannons and a direct hit from a mortar or zeppelin should do loads of damage to tanks, as they would in real life.
    Great series so keep going! Looking forward to seeing how it’s going to evolve!
    P.S.: I like the addition of a few units to start off the battle ;)

    Maybe have it so each unit had a maximum amount that can be on the team for that unit and every unit more gets spawned in to replace a downed unit. Let's say 300 tanks spawn, if only 30 are allowed then there will be 270 tanks in reserve to keep the pressure really high but not immediately kill the other team

  • @JediSSJ1

    Maybe give the basic infantry a special anti-armor weapon in addition to their rifle. Something like a sticky bomb; it can only be used at melee range, can only be used against vehicles, and has a long reload time. It doesn't have to have GREAT damage, just decent damage against armored vehicles. That way infantry will still struggle against tanks, but the tanks can't just ride over them without concern.

    *@Lost Marbles 3D*
    You could make some kind of dynamic adjustment of the units. So the stronger the unit is, the harder it is to generate.
    You could continuously measure how much damage each unit-type can deal out in a life-time, and the more damage it deals, the further to the right it is pushed in the "spawn stuff" box.
    Maybe have some other kind of "box" for the effects, as they are hard to measure, or have those at fixed positions in the same box? (like now)

  • @TheDemigans
    @TheDemigans Před 5 měsíci +2

    Should be obvious when you see a thin line of tanks take on an infantry blob 3 times as deep and kill most of them with barely any regular units supporting the tanks.
    They are too tanky, they don’t shoot too often which should balance them a little but their ability to crush anything that comes in their path while the opponents will just blindly run forwards into said tracks makes them incredibly powerful.
    I think I saw some already happening, but some unit behaviours other than “rush” would be great. For example a tank will have a zone similar to officers but in reverse: enemy units in this zone will move backwards a little in semi-random bursts (unless they are in a trench). That way they might be crushed or they might keep their distance.
    Also the tanks should perhaps become less tanky so they are less efficient as bullet sponges, or as someone suggested bring back some AT weapons like the rocket troops. Grenadiers were in the game at some point and historically those were trained for anti-tank duties.
    I also think you should consider changing the hitpoints (did not pay too much attention to that so you might already have). Give basic infantry 2 hitpoints, advanced infantry 3 to 5 hitpoints. Those grenadiers need to get in close so some extra health could go a long way. It gives you a lot more leeway in balance between units

  • @typhoon1575
    @typhoon1575 Před 4 měsíci +1

    Firstly.
    Seeing seas of units, including tanks is fun.
    As for why battles always end in waves of tanks is because theres no counter.
    Perhaos bombs from the planes.
    Mortars do more damage to tanks.
    Or an at rifle unit. Long range, huge single target damage (maybe 2 shots a tank), very slow fire rate. Slow moving. No more durable than infantry.
    The second problem i noticed, is how hard it is to build momentum.
    Whoever has the most marbles in play will gain the upper hand. Always.
    More chances to rack up multipliers. More chancws to get some units. More marbles means speed and it takes a while to get a lot of them.
    If one side has 5 marbles in play ajd the other has 1, the numbers on rach matter little. The one with 5 is going to oush an advantave.
    Maybe you could find a way to baoance that out to help fights go for longer with more chance for back akd foorth

  • @IceMaverick13
    @IceMaverick13 Před 5 měsíci

    It always ends up being waves of tanks because:
    1. Tanks are over-statted against nearly all damage types. They're ostensibly the same value as a plane, but we even see in this video that a wave of nearly equivalent plane numbers rolls right over a tank group and the tanks just shrug and keep going. Similarly the front line of tanks soaked two full "shoot all" waves and literally none of them died. It's clear that there's not a source of damage that really bothers tanks other than a greater number of enemy tanks.
    2. The tanks are too "right" on the placement tree relative to your growth values. By the time they unlock, you've had stuff bouncing around getting x3 and +10 modifiers for a full minute and even give them a solid extra minute of having no choice but ballooning up with x4s immediately before the relatively low-cost tanks are unlocked. Tanks unlocking prior to the higher number boosters and even being more likely to be landed in than the boosters will decrease tank waves and instead encourage a thinner stream of lower counts.
    3. Tanks are relatively low-cost compared to their effectiveness. This is related to point 1, but since tanks are so strong and are basically immune to all damage that isn't other tanks, only costing 2 means that your very-quickly-high multiplier ball values can create a wall of impenetrable metal that simply will not die to anything less than a similar number of tanks.
    Essentially, you need to make tanks harder to acquire or easier to kill to avoid having every single fight devolve into tank-vs-tank, wall-to-wall matches.

  • @happyhafer1403
    @happyhafer1403 Před 5 měsíci

    i think you could solve most of the number issue by simply switching out the multiplying slots for additive slots, with only one or two slots somewhere hard to reach still being multipliers.
    or alternatively reduce the number of available balls for the selection.
    or simply add a rock-paper-scissors system for the units.
    -bazookas and bombers are good against armored vehicles.
    -flak and planes are good against anything airborne.
    -machine gunners and artillery are good against infantry.
    -tanks are just tanky but all that great damage wise.
    -the weak infantry comes in greater numbers but are weak and mostly good just as distraction.
    you could also add the option to drop a big bomb in the center of the map to wipe out a good chunk of the leading teams army. though i suggest you don't make this number adjusted, as that would either end up in a never ending bomb-curtain or with an unavoidable wipe out strike if any larger number ever drops in the slot.
