- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga running on Steam Deck with SteamOS. I used the last ProtonGE version, proton experimental gave me low fps.
Sorry for the OSD in the desktop mode, fps are not 60 locked, some dips to 30-40.

After seeing performance and graphics I'm definitely not going to buy this on the Switch and just wait for the Steam Deck.

Thanks for posting this! Excited to play this when I get my Deck. Anything special to get it to run other than changing Proton version (I hear experimental works and GE)? Also think you can get a smooth experience throughout with the 30fps limiter on? I hear the more open areas could have some dips into the 20s at least on max settings.
this game has some weird framerate issues in some specific places, in my gaming pc with a 3060ti and a 5800x there are a few moments where it drops to 30ish fps. So I think no, there will be moments where itll be under 30, but it should be at 30 like 95% of times

Used to play the orginal lego star wars series as a kid this looks like they really put a lot off effort in this new one like the open hub.

Was gonna buy on switch, but I'm gonna wait for my deck now and get it there.

The game is listed as unsupported by Valve, but they say they are working on it.
Experimental gave me a boost to fps, went from 15 to 45 in gungan city, are yu usign ge-14 here?

Hey, was curious if you could showcase an attempt at SMT V Switch emulation, saw some people complaining that the smt showcase vids from other channels didnt try to do it

there are tons of games that steam says dont work but honestly have worked out pretty well
They just want to more thoroughly test them all before they put the stamp of approval.
I think most of them just don't work with their launcher. If you have to go to desktop mode and do extra stuff they'll say it's unsupported
I’m confused. How are you able to play the game even though it’s marked as “-unsupported” on steam? I’ve seen it with some other games too. Love your channel!
unsupported doesn't always mean not playable. Most of the time there are some other issues, like manual configuration or else. To be safe just follow the Valve ratings.

That looks like Switch OLED display quality but with better detail.
How does the game feel ? Are the spikes bare-able ?
can be better but it's playable, I din't test all the game. There is some stuttering but tolerable.
The spikes only seem to happen when shooting for some reason
already better than the switch version.

Ho preordinato steam deck perché me ne sono completamente innamorato . Ti permette di giocare praticamente a tutto . Detto questo ci tenevo a chiederti visto che non sono informato sulla emulazione se possa almeno avere le interfaccie in italiano sui giochi emulati . E mi farebbe piacere sapere anche come riuscire ad acquistare i titoli emulati . Ti ringrazio in anticipo, mi serve sotto il punto di vista dellemulazione molta chiarezza 🤣
Alcuni emulatori hanno interfacce in italiano, per acquistare i giochi devi prendere le versioni originali delle varie console

Proton Experimental or the last ProtonGE, don't remember
I play also on the deck with this game i can tell that it run sometimes really terrible in some missions like 14 fps to 25 fps but for the most time stable play it on proton experimental mode also try other proton versions and its even worse very unoptimized but maybe an update will resolve this on the deck👍
@Vehicle_law Glad I wasn’t the only who experienced that issue. The game ran like hot garbage during that mission and I’m on a 3080.
Damn that fan does seems kind of annoying. The low pitch is annoyingly noticeable with the wind waft probably will have to use headphones

here's a video idea for you, nobody tried on video. try connecting 2 controllers via cable or bt and try to play a 2 player game like mk or tekken etc. and see how couch co-op feels like. thank me later ;)

Not playable... but it works! I dont understand Valve
the Valve rating doesn't count the last Proton Experimental, also the game can have other issues.
Game literally released today so they can't guarentee a compat rating without testing it a good bit.
Reminder; game runs with Proton which is a collection of compatibility layers. So there might be issues that are not so obvious at first glance without proper testing.
I'm assuming the fps dips are playing a part in it, guessing when the shader cache gets built up and they tune it up with Experimental, then it might get playable or verified
