If you're new to my channel and videos, hi! I'm Evan Edinger, and I make weekly "comedy" videos every Sunday evening. As an American living in London I love noticing the funny differences between the cultures and one of my most popular video series is my British VS American one. I'm also known for making terrible puns so sorry in advance. Hope to see you around, and I'll see you next Sunday! :)

My American husband wanted to live in the UK ever since he was a boy. He came here in 2002 and in 2009 he became a British citizen, having a private citizenship ceremony in Colchester. It was one of the happiest days of his life. He died suddenly in 2011. I put a copy of his British passport in with him in his coffin. This video brought back the joy, especially as it is only a few days to the 10th anniversary. Thank you for sharing.

Saying the Pledge in school is such a brainwashing thing that when people do it, they don't have any idea what's going on around them. Literally, throughout high school I would replace the words of the pledge with "...under no gods, with liberty and justice for some" and no one ever noticed because everyone was just robotically staring at the flag and saying what they'd been conditioned to say for their whole lives. In Spain and Sweden, are trying to quell nationalism , and some people will try to bully you and call you a fascist for flying a national flag, except for the rare holidays where the taboo is lifted. I think it's also because the US in the US you pledge allegiance to the flag and what it represents, while in Sweden and Spain the flag designs are still meaningful but different.

My man, thank you for your passion. I lived in the UK from 2013 to 2015 and although I'm from Greece, this place truly felt like home to me. I am back in Greece since then with another failed attempt in 2017 to move back to the UK. However, back to base one one more, Athens it is. I haven't given up though. I'm still a firm believer of trying and failing and trying again until making it. London has changed a lot since I was roaming its streets and it's not the same ever after Brexit (for EU citizens the difference is unbearable). But again, the dream is not over. I have made it my sole purpose in life to come back to the country I felt like home and to eventually get the citizenship. It will be a long journey and I'm not sure when I can kick it off again, but all I know is that the fire in me still burns. You just gained a new subscriber, thank you for keeping my passion alive.

Yay, congrats. I got mine 2 years ago, after being here for 15 years. I got so emotional I started crying when the Lord Lieutenant gave me my certificate. They sure make you jump through hoops, but getting my new passport was one of the highlights of my life! Ha, now all I need to do is actually be able to use it and travel somewhere...

I’ve watched your videos since then and followed your journey wishing I had my own.
