  • This was an all day cook and it turned out so good. I had to change heat every hour but we had fun at camp doing the all day cook. Good times in the outdoors.

    Always enjoy your laid back videos Al !!!!! I live near Gatlinburg in the Smoky Mtns. and do a lot of outdoor cast iron cooking. You are very inspiring !!!

    Man that looks amazing. I bet it was off the chain. Can’t hardly believe it’s already snowing there. Jesus it’s over a hundred degrees here almost every day!

    What temp were you trying to hold in the Dutch oven for the cook?

      I did the first hour hot and then reduced the heat to 225-250 for 6 hours and then hot again for an hour. It was an 8 hour cook and turned out great. Thanks for asking.
