Down here in Florida, we call them crawfish or mud bugs. I also boil my cleaned crabs, and use frozen corn I put up from harvest to stop the boil and cool the crawfish. 😂
You just put them in water to wash em and the dead crawdads will float to the top. Yall seemed to kinda be doing it the hard way.
Sac religious boiled Crabs in Maryland. You boys are finally learning how to make em taste Good! Yes I boil mine too, most of us Floridians do!

Ditch bugs
Boiled crabs are easier to pick and the meat has its own natural juices sealed in, rather than steamed out. So if you picked a dozen crabs, the crabmeat from the boiled ones would weigh more. However, for eating, I prefer steamed crabs that I can swipe the meat across the shells covered in JO.
Makes the beer taste better too.
Boiling the crawfish for any more then 3 min is wrong they will be over cooked, and we’re all wondering what your thoughts were on the boiled crab you didn’t give any feedback….. Come down to Louisiana and you’ll see how its really done and you can get the real cajun experience
i steam my corn still on the husk on top of my carbs with JO on the crabs and on the corn .just try it you will never boil corn separate when steaming crabs and yes I'm a eastern shore crabber come and get some of the best sweet corn on the eastern shore of md

Stoppppppp!!!!! I live 60 miles south of New Orleans. We are considered down the bayou people. Would love to taste your lobster, but you can't boil crawfish like that brother. I would love to boil the best crawfish you ever had, just treat me to lobsters, we don't know how to cook them the right way, unless you boil them like crawfish. Cook off? Let's do it brother, love your channel
