I like it cuz in this movie, the teacher gets you to think without calling names or getting annoyed. I had a lot of teachers who got annoyed at me cuz i didnt get something on the first try. Really stupid.

"....she'd probably...get pregnant, she wouldn't finish college." Come on how negative and sexist can you sound about your own daughter? And yet he wants her to stay working at the restaurant for what reason?....if anything she'd get pregnant while working at the restaurant and destroy her life just the same.
True. How many people do you know that quit college because of pregnancy? Actually, I know none, but I know some cases of teenage girls that got pregnant and left school... So basically, by the time youth go to college, they have become more aware and responsible.
@@yavor05 One big difference you are not seeing, is that college students have the advantage when it comes to access to abortion. A high school student gets pregnant accidentally, and her easiest choice while subject to the authority of her parents, is to keep the baby despite not being ready for motherhood, and dropping out of school. Many states have laws that require the parents to be involved, plus minors often lack the resources to do this on their own. Your parents could be pro-choice activists, and it is still a difficult conversation to ask for permission as a minor. A college student gets pregnant accidentally, and she aborts the baby without telling anyone, and gets right back to her normal life. Everyone else is on a need-to-know basis, and her peers may never have known she even was pregnant. The baby daddy is likely more than willing to cover the cost, which is likely the only obstacle.
It would of been a blessing to have a person like Jamie Escalate in you life ,RIP Mr.Escalate.
