When he says "we will blitz ALL NIGHT, I dont want them to gain another yard! Make them remember, FOREVER the night the played the TITANS!" It put chills down my spine!
Bro I get chills and a tear in my eye every time. This movie is one of my favorites of all time
Watch it a couple of times already too and find it motivating to say the least. Kudos to the directors and actors.
Every time
I’m ready to run through a brick wall right now
Mines too man I watched the movie everytime for that moment!!!!
“Run it up, Herman! Leave no doubt!”
That’s such an underrated line. So badass.
That look from Boone lol…”Say less”
@@BlueSoldier87the trust was forever formed that night. They both realized the common goal
Seriously. You nailed it !!!!! Love how he says leave no doubt. Herman looks back at him knows what time it is.
I just drove 8 hours to see my wife's grandparents and to watch my Chicago Bears play in Tampa and I literally CZcams this video for that exact line. Watch the movie A million times but never realized how underrated of a line that was. It gets me so pumped
Look at his eyes when he says that. He is furious about the cheating.
I never realized that line until now and I seen this movie to many times to count 🔥
One of the most powerful moments in movie history. He’ll lose the hall of fame, but he knows he’s a part of something bigger.
And his daughter says it afterwards too. "Wouldn't want it anyway. Bunch of old rednecks."
What do you expect there's about 30 to 40% of okay decent white people in the south and they know it that's the first clue that you can tell they're racist but if you look at their voting card they vote conservative and somewhere they own a conservative treason rag I don't call it a conservative flag or a Confederate flag because that's not what it is a treason rag. When you fly that flag around even if you're in the South you're just too big of a traitor if not bigger of one than a Nazi that's on record that can't be denied if you disagree with what I said you're a liar and you're lying to yourself it is a treason rag
When he said "you blitz all night!" If you ever played defense man, when coach cuts you loose, words can't describe the adrenaline rush!
I’m a musician watching this on the toilet. And I’m ready to suit up in pads to knock some heads off, after hearing that speech.
@Wales Eakes 🤣😂
Defensive end. Lol I remember that feeling. No finesse, no stunts, no schemes, just flat out smash mouth football. We played this one team that had a wide receiver that NONE of our guys could cover. He was just too fast. So the coach finally told us to forget about covering him. Just make sure that the QB never had time to even throw the ball. It worked too. Don't matter if you have a fast as hell WR if your QB is on his ass a second after getting the ball. Lol
Gives me chills every time I here it
@@Ragnar_Helsson Back in HS, I was D Tackle in slant 4/3 and 3/4, 6'/275lb run plug. Hard to do much of anything when you have to double team up front and the linebackers and ends are running free.
He chose his player’s success before himself. Hats off to Coach Yoast.
one of the greatest moments in all sports movies
tulley vaughan right along side the death crawl scene from facing the giants
You damm right

"I don't want them to gain another yard...YOU BLITZ ALL NIGHT!..."
A www man I love it. Bring the pain! Brings a tear to my eye. Good coaching.
KTG if only these coaches and Coach Ken Carter were in the same school, BEAST SCHOOL
Simple instructions but effective at the same time
Those WERE SOME OF THE MOST POWERFUL WODRS IN THE MOVIE
Its actually not good coaching, strategically
Thats a tough ultimatum to carry through
Love when Julius tells their QB "you better make yourself comfortable down there, real comfortable" hahah I would shit my pants
Is the QB that Julius knocks to the ground Ray the friend Gerry kicked off the Titan team?
@@chrismcintyre845 no hes just a qb who got his ass handed to him
But also when Gary calls out the coach that's just damnnnnnnnnnn he's calling out a grown man
Avon Barksdale was not fucking around on that night.
facts lmao that boy big as shit
That's a true coach, he sacrificed his own career and awards for something more important. The team.
Yost got them anyways. Later.
And his daughter.
He did it cause he saw that even his own daughter (who knows nothing about crooks) could tell that what they were doing was wrong. She “are u blind?!” Then admits defeat “that’s such a bad call”. He didn’t want her to be like him and just sit and watch while injustice is happening.
And Justice.
What a true fictional coach he is!
Gotta love how Boone and Coach Yoast's daughter were right about the officiating and it convinces her father in a way to sacrifice his hall of fame status for the team because of how hard the team works together
Nah pretty sure he still got that HOF
@@necessaryevil7777 the hall of fame didn't exist back then
I love how he looks at Sheryl. He's been putting it all together, but it's like that's the moment he really decides. He can't let her down 😭
That’s a good father right there....
@@necessaryevil7777 he doesn't. If you watch the movie at the end of the game they tell him he lost the hall of fame.
"Run it up, Herman! Leave No Doubt!" LOVE IT!
Boones little smile like an attack dog that just got the green light
Absolutely savage.
What did he mean “run it up “? sorry don’t follow American football
I think he was mostly happy about seeing him have his back like that. He knew losing meant he was fired. Yost sending his defense out like that made it obvious he had just shut the bs down. And he did it while also taking his advice about Petey.
Him wanting to run up the score not only showed he wouldn't put up with it, but that he was pissed they would even try.
@@IKnowImGayWhenISayThisBut run it up = keep attacking and trying to score, even if the game is in hand. If a European soccer squad is up 5-0 and subs on an extra striker for a defender and presses high, they are trying to run it up.
I love when Gary points at the opposing coach and the opposing coach goes, "oh shit".
I love that he's like 2 feet from his face while doing it too, how awkward lol
When I was a kid I coulda sworn he flipped him off instead of pointing at him
Thats a kill-shot
That when the coach know that he done fucked up
That was the Hulkamania finger twenty years (movie time) before Hulkamania was born.
Wil Patton..one of the most under rated actors..fills every role and makes it real..No Way Out was one of those movies that made me realize how awesome he is..
Classically underrated movie.
Facts
Will Patton is a awesome actor.
I thought postman was a top 10 movie
He was amazing in The Postman to. Pretty horrible movie, but he personified evil like very few actors ever could.
Moral courage at its finest. This is what we should all aspire to be.

ikr
MudGirl8 so did coach know that the game was being fixed at first ? I got confused.
Arty Munoz...If by "coach" you mean Yoast, then I'd say he was figuring it out on the spot. His own daughter prevented him from rationalizing that maybe the calls were fair.
@@artymunoz5060 If I remember the movie correctly one of the higher ups on the school board or something said that basically once Boone lost a game that Yoast would have his head coaching job back. That's why he says "I don't care if I have to go down with you" basically. That and his daughter made him change his mind. He knew Boone was a good coach but had still been somewhat sore over losing his spot. But he couldn't find it fair to do that to Boone.
It was made by Disney
"I'm gonna go to the papers, to the papers"
Yoast Two-Times 😉

The 85 Bears would be proud!
2000 Ravens, 2002 Buccaneers, 2013 Seahawks & 2015 Broncos would also be proud.
Right kinda looked like the tampa vs kansas superbowl lol
@@Theterminato2013 All great Ds but for some reason that 2000 Ravens D always sticks our for me. Ray Lewis, Boulware, Woodson, Siragusa, Mcalister, Sharper, Adams. So aggressive and so fast.
He came so close to saying the name of the movie in the movie...
I remember when this movie came out. Our team watched it and then our next game I tackled the RB for a couple yard loss on the first play of the game and told him the same thing Julius said here. The next play he scored on a 80+ yard TD run and we lost 42-0.
This post is hilarious.
I'm weak 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 whelp at least you put him down once
Thanks for the laugh!!!!
😂😂😂
Played football for ten years. Hearing your coach say blitz was the greatest feeling. Basically just saying “ kill everything in your path”
Yup lol - gives you the green light to play as all out and aggressive as you want. Defensive players get high off hearing stuff like that.
Arguably the best scene of the movie, I get goosebumps when coach Yost gives that speech every time, LOL at coach Boone's face, he's like "Damn, what did he say, they got pumped the fuck up!"
I love how he says "and if they cross the line of scrimmage I'm gonna take every last one of you out!" most people thought he meant the game, but oh no...his players knew he meant TAKE THEM OUT!!!!

"that one was for you coach" is such a powerful statement concidering how he felt to begin the movie towards him as well as blacks overall. Love this movie. America needs to watch it again!
The thud of the bodies hitting in slow motion sound like gladiator times of fucking shit up!
I used that line when we were up in our high school soccer playoffs at halftime. I said “Leave no doubt” bc of this movie, and the coach looked at me like fuck yeah exactly. And we won 5-1. This is my favorite movie of all time. My dad took me to see it when I was about 12, and I’ll never forget the end when Rev was running down the sideline and Sunshine was blocking for him, I stood up and started pumping my fist bc I was so invested I completely forgot I was in a movie theatre.

@@sweynforkbeardtraindude have you ever watched a proper soccer/football match? 5 to 1 is a very achievable score.

Will Patton is awesome. His role in Armageddon brought tears
I have seen this movie maybe hundreds of times and I still have chills when coah says you make sure they rember, forever, the night they played the Titans. Coach I would have ran through a brick wall for you after that
Nothing compares to a father seeing his daughter upset over anything..especially something they love ❤❤
That part was really gay.....and then the pointing finger, another gay part,....if they would have left those out scene would have been one of the best....it was at this moment that the director knew he fucked up....
That's what drove him over the edge. He was teetering when he saw the obvious unfairness of the calls and the boys getting screwed and was thinking about saying something. But when he saw his little girl distraught because of the officials, he decided I'm going to shove this up your backside. As the father of a young girl, I'd do the exact same except my language to the ref would be stronger lol
"You'll dig your own grave."
(smiles) "okay."
Greatest reaponse ever. He didn't argue with him. He said what he had to say once and that was it.
When he said, "DEFENSE, ON ME!", felt my back straighten out, and was sitting at attention like I was at Basic Training waiting for the instructor to give us our next task lmao!!
Told my youth basketball team the same thing, when i heard the other team talking smack...hahahaha
We won by 25...
Did they all get motivated.
omar reyes ?not period.
mrfloorguyz told them to blitz all night??
How do you blitz in basketball! Prolly was a lot of flagrant fouls and ejections in that basketball game!
Translation to basketball: “I don’t want them to score another point. YOU PRESS ALL NIGHT‼️IF they cross half court I’m gon take every last one of you out. YOU MAKE SURE THAT THEY REMEMBER FOREVER THE NIGHT THEY PLAYED THE LAKERS‼️
The way the coach brought these boys together was really amazing; more ppl should be watching this; bcuz it's a true story; how can't you hate something you don't know
"Before god I swear I'll see every last one of you thrown in jail"
I think this line is great, because it hints at something a whole lot deeper than this one game or season. See, cheating in a high school game isn't (probably) actually illegal. No matter how much you cheat, you aren't going to go to jail....but if the story gets into the papers, people are going to dig in deeper to the lives of those involved, and find out the ACTUAL illegal stuff that the "elders" of the town had done. Yoast was their buddy for years, and knew they all had skeletons, including the ref. He threatened them with exposure of their secrets.
@@briansmith8898 trust me, cheating and rigging hs football games in the south would definitely get you some jail time
@@briansmith8898 that’s a good point. I also feel that because this is race driven to cheat the team out of the game it could be jail time.

This is one of my favorite inspirational movies of all time
I think it truly changed for Yoast when he looked at his daughters reaction to the penalties and right there new he could set an example for better or for worse
I think it was more he realized how much she wanted them to win.
I took it more as confirmation for him that they were indeed bad, made-up penalties.
@@JK-il7km I wouldn't think he'd need his daughter to confirm that the penalties were horseshit. I think he was just going along with it until he realized how much his daughter wanted to win.
@@chessguy1993 No, I don't think it was about winning. Every fan of a team wants the team to win. It was about morality, about knowing he was complicit in the scam and robbing all of the players on both sides, young men he feels responsible for to help teach them and grow them into men, of the chance to honestly compete in what is, after all, a game. I'm betting he felt like he couldn't look at his daughter and teach her about morals and ethics if he let it go.
@@allenjenkins06 Its possible, but he already knew he was complicit in it and Boone yelling "are you trying to cheat my boys?!" should have been enough to set him off if it was a matter of being shown he was costing the team to meet his own ends. It wasn't until he saw his daughter getting so fired up about them losing that he decided to give his own team a fair shot. He decided that disappointing her was a bigger blow than losing the hall of fame for himself. That's just my take on it though.
After coach Yoast says “LEAVE NO DOUBT” Denzel prolly had training day in his head and was like MY NIGGA😂‼️
