    Mooji and the respective lineage are all some of the wisest teachings I have come across. Mooji, Papaji and Gangaji are all worth tuning into (plenty of Satsang presentations on youtube). Energetic transmission of core teachings are perhaps not as potent 'online' vs in person although still some of the most powerful and pertinent teachings to our times. The advaita vedanta lineage alongside deeper zazen (Zen Buddhism), Kundalini + r hand tantra have been my fav' lineages of study and the Advaita 'self enquiry' (proactive surrender) methodology of Mooji I feel is a true gift for anyone ready for deeper awakening in these bonkers 'shadow heavy' times.

    Thanks Russell, I'll definitely check out his meditations. I love meditating and going inwards. I found yoga and meditation 7 years ago. I've got a lot wrong with my spine and after physio hydrotherapy etc, I discovered yoga was the only thing that genuinely helped my pain. It takes it away for a few hours. I'm studying my yoga teacher training and I very much want to bring more meditation into my classes than my previous teacher did. She was an amazing teacher but when I practiced at home and could spend more time on meditation or yoga nidra, I got so much more out of my physical practice. Though having my German shepherd Valentine there definitely adds to the experience. Thanks Russell, I appreciate so much the wisdom and knowledge you bring to all. Much love xx

    Thanks Russell I always get something from your content . After years of looking for meaning and knowledge through various occult practices and religions I have come to the conclusion that there is no better tool than meditation. Certain rituals have value because they put you in the present, the here and now. But at the end of the day you don't need them. You just need meditation. As someone who also struggles with addiction meditation is invaluable because addiction is about numbing yourself and trying to not feel future or past but putting yourself in the now state through meditation really helps to calm those thoughts.

    Yes, experiences in meditation and those enkindled by a proximity to the teacher can be amazing and worth sharing. There are different types of meditation, depending on what we want to achieve. Some of us aim at improving health, some want to fly in the clouds, some want to reach the highest human potential--and for this last one a proper spiritual practice that includes meditation guided by an adept and additional work is required. Real proof of the pudding here is one’s transformation of consciousness, that includes transformation at a deep neurophysiological level. This happens by dedicated practice over a long time and awakening of pranic field.
    This much is evident in the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, where those who've participated in the advanced TM-Sidhi courses are well aware of. My own teacher, Igor Kufayev, had had his breakthrough moment in that particular container and underwent a radical transformation consciousness, having gone from witnessing, god, to unity consciousness in one stroke which took a few years to integrate. The stages of the advancement of consciousness has been well-documented and the knowledge preserved in the Indian tradition and remains alive in those whose teachings can impart that.

    I love that Russell Brand has become this spiritual seeker and that on some level it's clear that he's struggling with ego identification and material desire but also realizing that all of that stuff is just a glass house in a way. Will be great to see how he evolves over the years.

    • @Aedaeum
      @Aedaeum Před 3 lety +2

      Very true. To realize the cages we've built ourselves into are nothing more than glass houses, waiting for a chance stone to cast it to the ground. Only when it's shattered, is it revealed that everything we do, weaves a larger and larger tapestry of glass to smash again. And by the end of our lives, we will have finally accepted that our purpose was, TO break glass, but by then we are left with regret, not having woven from our hearts instead of our heads....
      Everything is a construct, so you might as well make all that you love and accept everything else.

      that's awake awareness!!! please check out LOCH KELLY'S VIDEOS AND AUDIOBOOKS!!! he teaches how to go DIRECTLY to awake spacious awareness, without having to wait for thoughts to go away first through long meditations. here are two fantastic videos of his please watch both: czcams.com/video/40_SANHRmkk/video.html czcams.com/video/HrptTzLdEko/video.html it's MUCH quicker and more powerful than other kinds of meditation including TM, zazen and vipassana!!!!!! and you can do it with your eyes open and just a few minutes access awake consciousness! he calls it "small glimpses (mini awakenings) many times", until you naturally stabilize there. unearthed trauma and emotional wounds are so easily purified and released from this state!

    I felt compelled to subscribe to this channel after this video. I've watched several of Russell's videos but when he said the thing about Mooji being able to live in the present after what happened to his sister and the little that Russell described about the meditation that he went through with Mooji, I just felt like this is a channel that really resonates with me at this present moment in my life. #Effortlessness

    Thank you Russell!!! I LOVE MUGI too!!!! I love that part of the meditation you're talking about, where he tells you to put all your worrys and whatever you're going through in to a "suitcase" and leave it there for a bit, and you can pick it up and unpack it later, but for now, leave it!!! He is a truly amazing individual!! And you are as well, Russell!! I am a recovering addict. I've been in true Recovery for about 6yrs, but I spent 20yrs trying to be. I've been going to a Methadone Maintenance Treatment Center for 20yrs. I am 47yrs old, in the beginning, I was on an EXTREMELY high dose, "its a wonder that I'm still here" At one point I was taking 485mg of Methadone daily. But over the years I gradually decreased, and 6yrs ago I had planned on dropping my dose monthly and leaving the clinic. But I'm still hanging on, terrified of withdrawal. I've thought about switching to Suboxone and tapering off that way. But that just seems trading for a lesser evil. But you sharing your journey, has helped me more than you'll ever know, and I am TRULY GREATFUL!!! Sorry for the long comment, if anyone happens upon this, any advice would be welcome! SENDING LOVE AND LIGHT TO YOU AND YOUR PRECIOUS FAMILY!!!

    You are right about that we play out all our fears and brainwashed selves from outer experiences and social encounters when it comes to being in a one on one relationship. And also of course with other relationships. Like jelaousy. I found that it's important to let go of my own resistance, and at the same time enhance the other person that I feel I have a problem with. To listen more, to be more empathic. When doing so, a whole new world opens up to me. And negativity goes away.

Chant either of these mantras 3 times each while facing east, west, north(in the southern hemisphere), or south(in the northern hemisphere): "aum"("a" like "tom", "u" like "two" and "mmm") and "om"(like "home"). “Life is a journey of tenacity. Only the tough gets to the top through the storm. Take the steps one by one though the errand may be arduous. Never give up though you may grow weary. Think of the purpose though its attainment may be tough. Dare to get to the crown though you may meet the obstacles. You are never born to relax all day but to dare to do the undone. If only it is reasonable enough within the real reasons of your life, and if your soul and spirit convince you of getting it done, then, you have the real reasons to dare for the crown.”
