Mate it’s an absolute banger in my Drama class, I love the vibes this young lad has in him. I see record deal potential here. I’ve evaluated his channel and it turns out that he hasn’t continued and pursued his natural knack and talent for drama which really leaves me dumbfounded and absolutely gobsmacked. We were dealing with some top class acting and dance moves here, the passion eminating from the lad was blinding. I’d love his contact details however I can’t seem to get in touch with him. Like I said before, this guy is top tier.
Watched this in school when I was 15 in drama. Most of the kids just expected fun games. We also got to see them live in Hong Kong. Needless to say the themes went over our heads.
Rowan Thorpe danced to the Cher track; he created that sequence as an audition piece and it was put into the film. Why? You would have to ask Lloyd Newson, the director.
can someone actually explain a bit of the moves and everything instead of saying fantastic and amazing i can appreciate this but would like to know a little more thanks
when he starts dancing at 0:20, for the next 10 seconds, those hand movements are the only truly choreographed parts of the dance- as the music goes on, he improvises and adds more (sporadic, unchoreographed) movement in his face, his feet, his body, even the original moves themselves. even when it looks like he's abandoned those 10 moves, you can see them pop up (the up and down hands at 1:42) we studied this and made our own 8 count "growth dance" when i was in high school, and it always stuck with me. No idea whats going on with the hula hoop lady tho haha
I think the character suffers with Autism and this is the way he expresses himself emotionally, his relationship throughout the film is very interesting
I remember watching this when I was studying the arts in college. The memories. I love the energy and passion in this clip. It's beautiful. X

Fuck'n master piece; what the hell
Why don't they list the dancers in this video or the song credits and recording companies?
I would like to see more from the dancers too.
The guy dancing to Believe is Rowan Thorpe (he doesn’t have much footage of him dancing on CZcams, only a clip from 1998)
do we know who the performer is? and why DV8 Physical Theatre created this part in their work?
Rowan Thorpe danced to the Cher track; he created that sequence as an audition piece and it was put into the film. Why? You would have to ask Lloyd Newson, the director.
