  • Review of my remanufactured Steelcase Think office chair from Crandall Office Furniture. You can view the chair here: www.crandalloffice.com/shop/c...
    **Update**
In the video I mention a defective arm rest. Crandall reached out to me within the week, sent a new, working armrest, and a prepaid package to send back the broken piece. Really can't stress enough how good their costumer service is.

Westley, thanks for your extremely thorough review. I've been looking for a reputable vendor for this exact chair that my boss swears by (he has 2 at home too) and your review convinced me to buy from Crandall today. Hope you got that seat button fixed!

Thanks for this review, I'm looking to buy a Think chair online and hadn't heard of this company yet! Definitely great to hear the experience of a real customer and a satisfied user of this specific chair.

Wesley - just wanted to say a big thank you for your very thorough review and kind words! Wanted to say a few things - first thank you for your suggestions on the product page, we will absolutely be adding that information to the page based on this suggestion, so we really appreciate that! Secondly, on the arm, that is absolutely not how it should function, and we want to get a replacement arm sent out to you to make that right! Shoot me an email to contact@crandalloffice.com so I can get that started. Thank you again! -David Crandall - Crandall Office Furniture :)

@@queenapple9012 Actually, Crandall was running a promo where they offered a gift card for honest video reviews when I made this, so I should update the video and mention that in the description (not used to posting public videos on CZcams). I really made this review because I was trying to learn the video editing software Davinci Resolve for some volunteer work I do, and this seemed like a good excuse to practice, but I appreciate the kind words and it's good to know I can go into sales someday!
My wife and I started with a cheap (but kinda stylish) chair, and ended up regretting it pretty quickly, so we decided to put some more cash towards it, which we really should've done in the first place. Now that I spend 4-7 hours a day at this desk, I can say the chair helps me keep great posture without thinking about it and I can work for long stretches without getting up. One little thing, because the foot rest bar is a bit narrow, I use a yoga block as a foot rest so my legs can stretch out.

@@WesleyGentle Oh thats good to hear. I am a college student and I mean I could pay 150 for a chair or I could get a better quality chair. I spend most of my time studying. I been using my bed but I am not as productive as when I am on a table. My aunt manage to find a table for 20 buck at sears. It was used but it high table so I need a stool type situation. I am trying to create a work space so that I can create a stable environment for learning. I am really excited to try it out. I think you did a great job editing. I thought this was a product review channel! (:

Hi, I already own this chair and was wondering if it possible to take off the chair cushion you sit on to then be able to wash it

Just like everyone else, I thought this review was excellent, especially considering how few good reviews of the Think there are online. One confusing point for me though. In the video you mentioned the chair seat height with the stool kit to be shorter than the Steelcase specifications, however I assume Crandall has since taken your feedback and updated their stool kit info. Their site claims the stool kit height is ~23" to ~30" which matches the OEM specs. So is it possible that this is still wrong, or they are now using a different gas cylinder?

Thanks! That's a great question - just now measured my chair again and at its lowest setting floor to seat (as in, where the seat touches my legs... I'm sure there's a more elegant way to say that) is roughly 20" and at its highest 27". It is possible they are now using a gas cylinder that more closely matches the OEM stool components. The other possibility, of course, is that they just copied the specs from the Steelcase website and it doesn't reflect their actual product. Like I mentioned, it actually worked out for the better for me, but I would double-check with their costumer service.
