Boomerang is getting better. They even have different schedules for certain occasions (like New years, Valentine’s Day, Puppy bowl, etc). I just wish the channel can rebrand and promote these days in their new bumpers. Also, DC Network, have you seen CNs new schedule (especially Sunday)? It’s pretty good.
Technically, some classic CN Shows like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Looney Tunes, Dexter's Lab and Mike, Lu & Og would often air on Boomerang from time to time, same with Pokemon, but I do understand where you're getting at right now.
Personally, I don’t mind the new 2015 logo. I just wish they would bring back Ed Edd & Eddy, Johnny Bravo, 2 Stupid Dogs, Snorks, etc and a heap of other old shows from the 60’s to mid 2000’s, etc.
The two shows that you were thinking of were Speed Buggy and Jabberjaw. Also, I think there are a couple of shows from Cartoon Network on the weekends like early in the morning, I think they were Foster's Home and the Powerpuff Girls.
That’s great to hear the news. I can tell how the channel gradually brought itself back to its roots starting with mid to late last year when so many classic shows I remembered watching when I was a little kid started returning to the channel.
They did this because they actually realized that ratings were in decline because all they were showing was Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, and hardly anything else.
I loved watching Yo Yogi when I was a teenager from mid to late 2019 to early 2020 (16 to 17). Brings back so many fond memories of being a teen. It wasn’t on Boomerang yet then but I discovered it on watch cartoons online (wco) and I immediately fell in love with it since.

There are lots that didn't care for it and that's why it got canceled. But I enjoyed it when it aired during my Saturday Morning line up. Glad to hear you enjoy it too. I was 10 years old when it original was on NBC. I sure do miss those days.
I'd imagine the reason for repeating is it ties into the boomerang gimmick. They are probably experimenting with this back to format and probably will mix a few other shows later on.
4:02 Unfortunately D.C. Network they were not able to get Magilla Gorilla back from what I have heard because Magilla Gorilla is part of a separate syndication package that Boomerang doesn't have access to that's why Huckleberry Hound and Atom Ant wasn't able to come back to the schedule plus I heard that the classic CN originals do not rate well according to the Schedule Manager of Boomerang. That's what some people has said on CZcams.

definitely a step in the right direction for one thing about boomerang, but it needs more variety than that, but then again they got some issues as HB classics aren't getting an HD remaster version, yep, rights issues.
I'm a huge fan of any thing and all Hanna-Barbera. I grew up with reruns of the classics like Yogi, Quick Draw McGraw, Wally Gator, Huckleberry House etc. I don't have the channel anymore but I did enjoy getting to watch and record shows back in the late 2000's era of the channel. I still to this day collect any Cartoon Network or Boomerang TV recordings from the late 90's into the early 2000's cause they all had great content back then. I remember getting to see back in 2023 (from baby siting some dogs for a friend) on Boomerang seeing like Yo Yogi, Flintstones Kids, Taz-Mania and a few others. I had wished I still had it during that time. They were even showing Laff-A-Lympics and that show to me is one of the best EVER cross overs of characters from one franchise. The best! Like I said I don't have the channel anymore but I wouldn't mind going back and getting it for a few months to see what might change over those 3 months. Just to see if anything new gets switched out. That's my two cents.

Sometimes I don’t find recorded vhs tapes of kids cartoons yesterday I bought three blank tapes from goodwill and guess what’s on them, it’s common: 1. American idol 2003 season finale 2. Tape labeled Gardens, guess what’s on it. Nothing but the entire six hours of some boring lifestyle shows on HGTV from the early 2000’s. Ugh 😑 not something exciting to see. But in my mind it’s cool because DABL used to play lifestyle shows in 2020-2023 when they now play black sitcoms.
I'm actually glad they did this! Been getting so many Flintstones, Jetsons, Hanna Barbera Scooby Doo (the original), and Popeye due to this! Hallelujah!
Blacklisted cartoons. They don’t have rights with Huckleberry Hound and I think they didn’t get rights with Pink Panther. (Correct me if I’m wrong) They need to get a 3 year deal with WB to bring back Huckleberry Hound show. It’ll remain on the blacklist until 2026 or 2027.
It's cool that they're switching things up because I remember watching it growing up and having like classics playing and it's really cool that they're bringing some of those back I hope they keep this variety and pick a certain hour in the day to do a movie because I did like when they did that it was cool to see full feature cartoon movies on there

Not only are they bringing back more hanna-barbaras classics, Boomerang has been doing a lot of special themes on a certain die such as Chinese New Year, they aired episodes featuring asian culture and dragons, during new years eve and day, they aired a lot of party themed episodes, on Wednesday during valentine' day, they are going to be airing love/dating themed episodes, don't know exactly what they are doing for president's day, but there is a special schedule for that too. Boomerang has just changed so much within the course of a few months and is returning to its old roots. Remember that time when we thought Boomerang was going to end, probably not anymore. I have noticed with Boomerang though that they change the schedule every 1-2 weeks really fast so expect this video to be outdated, very soon. I am glad Boomerang has tons and I mean TONS of variety. All we need now is some new promos and bumpers.

This is a step in the right direction! And they're doing the same with Discovery Family, since Michael Ouweleen is, not just the President of Adult Swim, but not just now Cartoon Network and Boomerang, but since the Discovery merger, he's also been the President over at Discovery Family and he's been putting some old series from HB and other properties on there as well, so nice job with what he's doing over there as well, because with Discovery Family, that channel has been in a very similar state as Boomerang, where they're just in a one-way motion the whole time and therw's been nothing going on for those networks at all! And now, he's fixed that by giving Discovery Family the Boomerang treatment, which is nice to see as well! And maybe at some point, we'll older Cartoon Network shows on there from like, the '90s and '00s, man! That's really good to see, and since CN and DF are now sister networks, they could end up trading off shows as well, that could be fun to see happen, too! I would love to see that happen! And he's finally fixed their schedule as well, TTG and Gumball are no longer on spam almost all day, especially since they're now cut back to 5 pm becuase of Checkered Past airing on Adult Swim, and that's been very successful for them so far! I woul love to see a Checkered Past-esque block where they aired this and that from like, what, 9am to 5:00 or 5:30pm maybe, something like that, and that may bring in views probably! I hope so, 'cause they need it! And it would help them out! Come on, WBD! Don't mees this up!
Something interesting to note about Galaxy Goof-Ups [and Yogi's Space Race, which aired prior to Galaxy Goof-Ups' addition] is that it uses a new remastered print of the show rather than the older print used on the iTunes, Amazon Prime and Boomerang streaming service release of the show, resulting in a much better and cleaner picture quality. Now if only these remasters can be released on DVD or replace the old ones on streaming services.
Discovery Family also has “Looney Tunes” on there, and it’s been on that channel since December 1st, and they ran vintage WB cartoons on there. Many of them came from Boomerang, along with some newer stuff that has not shown before. Back on Thursday, they aired “Porky’s Bear Facts” and “Porky’s Cafe”, both Porky Pig cartoons that are in the Public Domain were shown on Discovery Family for the time in their newly remastered and fully restored print in its original B&W version. Back in the 1970’s and 1980’s, both of these were Fred Ladd’s color redrawns and they looked godawful, in the 1990’s, they went into computer colorized and it looked decent.
If Time Travel is real, This would be much better if I would go to the early 2000’s and record every single HB show aired on Boomerang on my mom’s vcr without asking for her permission. And watch it in the present time. Online is not good enough.

Sadly in alot of EU countries we lost Boomerang and got cartoonito, who sends Tomy & Jerry and sometimes scooby. But thats it. All the rest are more modern shows for kids from like 3-5 years. Did we need another one of these channels? Boomerang was supposed to be for classics!
If they keep around all the classics and actually go back to its roots. They should give the channel another rebrand just so the channel doesnt keep carrying the cartoon network vibe considering its logo.

KND GONE! FHFIF GONE! POWERPUFF GIRLS (1998) GONE! If the oldies had later versions, they kept thoes, like Scooby-Doo Where are You & Mystery Incorporated! Loony Tunes, than Loony Tunes Show (2011)! Are KND coming to #checkeredpast ? Powerpuff Girls (1998) Seasons 1-4 had Hannah Barbara until Season 5-6 so they could keep that on #boomerang. I think I am not tuning into Kids Channels anymore like Nickelodeon Cartoon Network or Disney Channel I am focusing adult shows kind of odd nothing new on those channels Nickelodeon is Just showing SpongeBob All Day
The kids channels sucks nowadays. I know. Boomerang isn’t this bad as Nickelodeon TeenNick and Cartoon Network. Nick is SpongeBob Network. Teennick is a whole day Henry Danger Network, Cartoon Network is the Teen Titans Go Network (sometimes, not always) and Boomerang is just Looney Tunes Tom and Jerry and Scooby Doo Network, but with a little few toppings of more classics to enjoy.

The only time I had the Boomerang channel was when DirecTV would offer it to us once a week every 6 months. How is the current CN schedule though.

But I’m not as angry as I used to be about it cause at the end of the day he was trying to replicate the success Disney & Nick was having with live action shows at the time. Towards the end of his time as president he did some good things: green lighted Adventure Time, Regular Show, and allowed Adult Swim to have Toonami

This is a step in the right direction! And they're doing the same with Discovery Family, since Michael Ouweleen is, not just the President of Adult Swim, but not just now Cartoon Network and Boomerang, but since the Discovery merger, he's also been the President over at Discovery Family and he's been putting some old series from HB and other properties on there as well, so nice job with what he's doing over there as well, because with Discovery Family, that channel has been in a very similar state as Boomerang, where they're just in a one-way motion the whole time and therw's been nothing going on for those networks at all! And now, he's fixed that by giving Discovery Family the Boomerang treatment, which is nice to see as well! And maybe at some point, we'll older Cartoon Network shows on there from like, the '90s and '00s, man! That's really good to see, and since CN and DF are now sister networks, they could end up trading off shows as well, that could be fun to see happen, too! I would love to see that happen! And he's finally fixed their schedule as well, TTG and Gumball are no longer on spam almost all day, especially since they're now cut back to 5 pm becuase of Checkered Past airing on Adult Swim, and that's been very successful for them so far! I woul love to see a Checkered Past-esque block where they aired this and that from like, what, 9am to 5:00 or 5:30pm maybe, something like that, and that may bring in views probably! I hope so, 'cause they need it! And it would help them out! Come on, WBD! Don't mees this up!
Something interesting to note about Galaxy Goof-Ups [and Yogi's Space Race, which aired prior to Galaxy Goof-Ups' addition] is that it uses a new remastered print of the show rather than the older print used on the iTunes, Amazon Prime and Boomerang streaming service release of the show, resulting in a much better and cleaner picture quality. Now if only these remasters can be released on DVD or replace the old ones on streaming services.
Discovery Family also has “Looney Tunes” on there, and it’s been on that channel since December 1st, and they ran vintage WB cartoons on there. Many of them came from Boomerang, along with some newer stuff that has not shown before. Back on Thursday, they aired “Porky’s Bear Facts” and “Porky’s Cafe”, both Porky Pig cartoons that are in the Public Domain were shown on Discovery Family for the time in their newly remastered and fully restored print in its original B&W version. Back in the 1970’s and 1980’s, both of these were Fred Ladd’s color redrawns and they looked godawful, in the 1990’s, they went into computer colorized and it looked decent.
If Time Travel is real, This would be much better if I would go to the early 2000’s and record every single HB show aired on Boomerang on my mom’s vcr without asking for her permission. And watch it in the present time. Online is not good enough.

There not airing a lot of classics because they need to get a 3 year deal with WB. But just a hand full. Let’s get those fingers snapped until they bring all the other Hanna barbera shows back on cable by 2026 as The new boomerang channel commented me yesterday. We’ll see what will happen or not. I Always buy sold as blank VHS recordings for old school cartoons I really want looking forward to watch. I get them at flea markets and thrift stores it’s my personal favorite thing you know what I mean.
Here in the UK, the channel is nothing but Mr. Bean.
Sadly in alot of EU countries we lost Boomerang and got cartoonito, who sends Tomy & Jerry and sometimes scooby. But thats it. All the rest are more modern shows for kids from like 3-5 years. Did we need another one of these channels? Boomerang was supposed to be for classics!

Are KND coming to #checkeredpast ? Powerpuff Girls (1998) Seasons 1-4 had Hannah Barbara until Season 5-6 so they could keep that on #boomerang. And The Shark you're referring to Is Jabba Jaw, which sucked! I only liked Top Cat, Powerpuff Girls (1998), & Scooby Doo Where Are You!

I think I am not tuning into Kids Channels anymore like Nickelodeon Cartoon Network or Disney Channel I am focusing adult shows kind of odd nothing new on those channels Nickelodeon is Just showing SpongeBob All Day
The kids channels sucks nowadays. I know. Boomerang isn’t this bad as Nickelodeon TeenNick and Cartoon Network. Nick is SpongeBob Network. Teennick is a whole day Henry Danger Network, Cartoon Network is the Teen Titans Go Network (sometimes, not always) and Boomerang is just Looney Tunes Tom and Jerry and Scooby Doo Network, but with a little few toppings of more classics to enjoy.
