Just like you, I think this is huge! When Nick Sirianni had capable coordinators (even though Gannon had his flaws, we saw just how much worse it could get) he was able to play to his strengths. Sirianni is a people person. Heâs not an Xâs & Oâs genius, even though heâs sometimes referred to as an offensive guruâŠBut he doesnât have to be something heâs not!!
If the right people are in the right places, believe it or not, being a coach with high emotional intelligence can be very valuable.
I think people put too much value on a head coach dipping their fingers in either side of the ball, as being necessary.
A good head coach can keep things running like a well oiled machine. Hopefully we can get back to that.
I also hope he tones down his immature, egotistical bullshit at the end of games and in the press conferences, but thatâs just my opinion.
No one considers Nick an offensive guru. Can't believe we have such a talented roster but our HC belongs on a rebuilding team
I like it. He probably was too involved in the game plan and a Xs & Os genius he is obviously not. Could have been the Patricia influence that gave us "No change" Nick too. (My suspicion.) Either way, I think we're better off without him but I hope we can get back to 2022 minus whatever the hell happened 2nd half of the SB and, of course, post 10-1 last year. Both those things have to land on Nick and I NEVER want to see that shit again!

There is no question there was an issue with communication, letâs face it there are just inexcusable things that went on. For whatever the reason was and I agree with you the players didnât feel like it was on Nick. I wish I knew why

I interpret smiths quote as a direct dig at the situation on the defensive side of the ball. Not so much the offense. Sirianni was probably hyper focused on trying to get the offense humming and ended up being oblivious to what was happening on the other side of the ball. For whatever reason the defense did not like desai. The secondary wanted to game plan for themselves. The d line wasnt playing together. Mcmullen and jeff kerr have mentioned some of the players were ripping desai to them off the record last year. Ultimately i think the defense was so bad it impacted the offense too. I think those guys probably felt like they had to score every posession causing them to press. Eventually they burnt out.

When coaches get fired is when you really know what they thought of the coach. If they liked him they will be mad that he got fired and if they didn't like him they will crap on him. You will know in Jan when Sirianni is gone!
True but for whatever reason they looked at him and said âNick isnât the problemâ cause he still here
the difference this year may hinge on the fact that the coordinators have the autonomy that the coordinators lacked last year. the big reason for lack of autonomy is lack of experience with both of them last year. Sirianni had too much on his plate and could not handle it himself. I still think overall he is a limited coach who needs a good staff to be successful. he will never be a coach who can single handily rally the troops in crisis that was evident last year.

Hey, me and Joey are on break. Every year at this time we take a break. With holidays, people traveling we take a break and prepare for the new season. We should be back to the show starting July 20th
It's cool to not have a head coach that doesn't call plays. But we don't need a motivator as a head coach. Dude should be able to have considerate input on the game plan and in game adjustments. The fact that we all want him far away from the offense is terrible from his perspective.

So in other words, Nick had to oversee 2 inexperienced coordinators and couldn't handle it. Good, now we have 1 very experienced DC and a somewhat experienced OC. Nick can just manage the details and keep things functioning the way they should.
While there are head coaches that CAN be offensive or defensive focused and call plays, that's not their real job. If it was they would be coordinators. Being a HC is about managing the coaching staff, the players, establishing and reinforcing the culture, being the bridge between the roster and the general manager/owner and everything regarding football.

Bruh according to the Eagles fan base its been the coaches fault for two straight years. Could it be that maybe the Eagles were and are overrated? The defense was butt ugly last season, how did the defense get better by trading their best pass rusher and Cox retiring? Kellen Moore have never called plays for a RPO quarterback Hurts is not a pocket passer. I'll lay odds that Nick Siranni will get canned before McCarthy and Kellen Moore will be on to the next.
