2pm is generally really chill or crazy during their dance practices. It took Chan and Wooyoung teaching Ho Dong the dance before I realized that in the lyrics, when it says "in 10 minutes I'll be waiting for you over there" (points) , they are actually making the clock hands with their arms. I thought that was very detailed. Jun K. wrote and produced this song. It's a keeper. He is so very talented.
Oh my gosh, thank you for your 2pm knowledge!!! I love that the choreography matches so well with the song and the lyrics. It's so much more satisfying to watch. Do you have any other 2pm songs you'd recommend I check out?
@@SashaMarie O.O But of course I can recommend some 2pm songs! :) I saw your reply come through earlier today but was driving and could not reply. Since then I have really spent some time going through videos to narrow down the ones you might be interested in. I mean 2pm have over 100 songs and I recommend them all but as you're not a Hottest (2pm stan) I have whittled it down to 8. I'll list them on this thread with a link since there are many versions and I selected the ones I thought might appeal to a Former Dance coach. I hope you enjoy!!!
#1 (2008) Is their Debut MV, 10 out of 10. It features former member Jay. They were so young! I am recommending the dance version video since the dancing in the MV is very blurry due to resolution. However, if you ever have time I recommend watching the MV because I always get a chuckle out of their self-deprecating humor.

#2 (2009 Or 2010) Star Dance Battle. This is strictly 2pm dancing. It showcases the epitome of their "Beast Idol" moniker. And because....body rolls.

You should watch 2PM live performances. They never do the choreo as it is and do a lot of adlibs and put their emotions (expressions) according to the lyrics which makes their performances so much fun to watch. Also chan is different because he learned it personally from Wooyoung who's the main dancer of 2PM and also Jun K was there. It's for his solo dance cover of my house he did. Actually 2PM is always relaxed or crazy in their dance practices and you should see Wooyoung do that sangmo. Even the choreographer told the members to just follow him because he's that good at it. Check out his solo cam of house party concert. 🙊

That solo stage took me probably 20 minutes to watch because I kept pausing and restarting. That. Boy. Killed. Me. 💀
I like your comparison with the original, sharp eye for details, and your enthusiasm! 2PM is best live, so I highly recommend watching a couple of their performances to have a true comparison on a few points. The later live performances feel very different than the dance practice. Also, note that SKZ have had 6 years to watch and practice that choreo, whereas the dance practice vid for 2PM was completely new. 2PM also hadn’t fully made it their own yet like they did in live concerts. As others have noted, 2PM’s style is much more loose and less synchronized than most groups. Part of that is freedom that comes with age and success, part is their music style (R&B influence), part is how different their bodies are (lithe and lean Wooyoung vs tall and stiff Taecyeon), and part is how choreo trends have changed over time. These days, the boy group style is a bit too aggressive for my taste, tbh. But I’m also used to 2PM doing their own thing - I became a fan during their Go Crazy era. (Side note - girl groups almost always do better dance covers of 2PM songs than boy groups, imo. They feel the song differently.)

I feel like every year and with every new generation of artists the bar gets raised higher and higher in terms of what is expected for choreography and stage performances. I completely understand why that's not what everyone likes, especially if you've become accustomed to a certain group or style and the 'trend' has moved away from that. Thank you so much for the recommendation! I just watched it, and it made me think of mirrors or a person's shadow. It was very cool how they used the choreography and formations to play off of each other.

I know this is an old video but I hope you will react to 2PM's other dance practices... maybe the spicy ones like 'adtoy' (which twice covered some time ago), or the one that will make you laugh, like 'go crazy' (which stray kids also covered)

In my opinion most of the SKZ cover is very good but, mostrly in the chorus, I think they are too rigid. I prefer original 2pm's version but to go easy on SKZ I've watcher tons of covers of "My house" I most of them don't dance as good as 2pm or even SKZ most of the time. Dreamcathcer made a great cover, the best in my opinion. =)

Many idols cover this dance and i watch all of them but BangChan after learn it from Wooyoung and JUN.K did it the best.
Yes! I love that he learned it directly from the OG members. I think that is so important and sets them apart from some of the other groups who have also done covers of this.
