When Gidget originally aired on ABC for one season (1965-66), it was at a time when much of that season on ABC was mostly broadcast in color, with the exception of Bewitched, The Fugitive, and Honey West. Bewitched and The Fugitive went color the following season.
I grew up on this show. Life was so much simpler then. Now everything is crazy.There was alot respect back then❤

This 1965 film quality from heavy mechanical cameras just makes digital 4K etc look bland and lifeless. Back when life was quality and things were built of quality.

Gidget is funny show and Sally Fields is cute. Gidget has a good father and I wish my father was good like Gidget father.

THIS SITCOM WAS MADE IN 1965, LOOK HOW NICE AND COMPREHENSIVE WAS THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN GIDGET AND HER DAD...WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO TALK LIKE THAT NOWADAYS WITH PARENTS, REAL NICE SMOOTH CONVERSATION BUT, IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ANYMORE THESE DAYS 2024 SUCKS BIG TIME...!!!

LaRue was the hotbody one that's why they didn't have her in bikinis in beach scenes she was much more well endowed.

This episode has alot of LaRue....the writers messed up not writing more episodes with Gidget and LaRue getting into trouble. Too much solo Sally sank the show.
