- This old dude didn't mess around. Sweet mountain bike strapped to the back of his Ford Crown Victoria. His dogs and skull cow bell keep him company. Not only did he go up, but he went down the back side and tried (but failed) to go up the back side!
The fact that there's a bike on the back makes this sooo much better.
And grocery bags and a dog in the back seat lol
That bike rack was solid!
not to mention the custom shrunken head cow bell...
And the freaking Bell! Lol
I think having a downhill bike tells it all
when that dude left the comment "i can do that in my towncar" on the jeep vc moab video, he wasnt joking
We used to mob through the little desert trails to the shooting spots in Cali. Tundra and a Vic flying 😂 I had to be choosy where to stop. Open dif didn’t help lmao
Never underestimate the capabilities of an American body-on-frame sedan. There's a reason this style of car reigned supreme for most of the 20th century.
LIKE A BOSS!!
Mountain bike - $2000
'95 Crown Vic - $1000 (on a good day)
Bike Rack - $75
Handling that trail (and a ton of others, he's all over youtube) like a boss - PRICELESS
wonder what tires hes got
Today: 10000$ mtb
Who would pay 2k for a bloody bike
@@xhdhxydtxhxfzcbxcgfhvjcgcjvjvk Yeah, 2k is entry level these days
@@xhdhxydtxhxfzcbxcgfhvjcgcjvjvk that bike is a lot more than 2k 😂
People who spent thousands on their build just to do this are commenting negative things XD
+Ford RS Ford made the first Jeeps.lol
halmc stop worrying about another mans dick size, feminine ass nigga 😂😂
@@brandobee2264 It's true though.
@@silverrain99205 Is it?
@@joshmiller1928 Seriously? First Willys, then AMC, then Chrysler bought them to get the Jeep mostly. But Ford does make some decent crawlers stock check out 1st & 2nd gen Explorers, and of course Bronco.
The crown vic is a truck for the man that is secure enough with themselves to not have to drive a truck.
VERY solid, rugged, durable and long-lasting car. That's why they were so popular with police departments.
So it will hold my tools, generator and whatnots? Cause you know, I drive a truck for image, not work
That's the gayest thing I've ever heard in my life. Delusional crackhead
@@forallthatisunreal This comment is 8 years old you insecure doofus
If you put the generator in the backseat then yeah probably.
When I saw that skull on the bike I knew shit was about to get real.
I had an old 1995 Crown Vic. I took it in many places that really surprised myself even.
It has the posi-trac rear axle and sat up fairly good being it was a police package with the 235-75 R15 tires with steel rims.
Exhaust tucked up high along the frame.
The engine has limitless torque and the transmission would work in anyway you needed it to.
The brakes were way over built.
The oil pan was designed well. I could have the car almost straight up and it wouldn't loose oil pressure.
Was your Crown Vic a police model or just the run-of-the-mill model.
@@jongoin4404this was 11 years ago so I don’t think they’ll respond but they said “it was a police package” so I’m pretty sure that, yes, it was a police one. idk if it was literally used by cops before he got it though.
I took my old Crown Vic to the Jeep rally in Bolivar, there were 10 or so jeeps in a line making a scene crossing a decent sized washout in the beach. I unknowingly just drove across parallel to their path and kept going to our campsite, later a few guys came by and asked me about the CV like it was some off-road creation. Nope just a good ol' V8 on a frame.
If you don't know what that dude's thinking, you clearly missed something.
He's showing up silly-tired crawlers, with his police auction 1k special.
Hes just mindin his own...him and his dog...he dont give a fuck what others are thinkin or he'd have his own youtube
all a crown vic is is a car with the heart of a truck. ive seen these things do shit my quad wouldnt do
Theyre a truck with a car body on top. Its a very unique construction for a car if you ever get a chance to look underneath a vic youll know what I mean the construction method shares more in common with a pickup than other cars.
@@user-xg8yy7yl1d The Crown Vic platform (Panther platform) is the same with all full size Fords from 1965 and up, like the Ford Galaxie.
@@user-xg8yy7yl1d LOL, I can assure you, just because it's body-on-frame doesn't mean that frame is ANYTHING like a truck frame...
@@RyTrapp0 They swap crown vic frames into old trucks. It very much is like a car body on a truck frame.
@@robwiljas Sure.
Goes to show that experience off road driving goes a lot farther than most think.
GTA got some hot new graphics.
And updated car suspension
Saw this exact guy while on a hummer tour. Same car. But he also was hauling a 4-wheeler on a trailer up the baby lion's back. It was pretty epic.
That's what crown victoria's do they try to achieve with what they got, that's why they are my favorite cars
thats why crown vics are awesome
blazeit350z He is destroying the Crown Vic because it is not awesome.
Hurricane Floyd it's worth maybe 500 bucks at that point, who cares?
Josh .Christian Exactly my point.
Josh .Christian There's a reason why he bought a $500 crown vic instead of a $500 jeep.
Back then, there was no escaping the Law, thanks to Vicky.
it's bad when an old crown vic out performs the raptor....
Who said it out preforms it?
You mean a jeep
...huh? I must be blind, I didn't see a Raptor anywhere in this video...
BULL SHIT!!! 😾
Theres a difference between a raptor and a vic.
Raptor:Costs 50k or 70k
Crown vic:Cheaper then iPhoneX.
FORD Crown Vic. best car!
I agree
I agree as well!!
Well, if it’s so good, why does Ford not build more
"I don't know what this dude's thinking..."
He's probably thinking about teaching punks like you, you don't need 10k to climb up a fkn rock.
Total badass.
I have a 1996 just like that with 410,000 miles. I can hook up 4,000 pounds and drive it in all kinds of weather.....I'll have to try that sometime. Great video!
More reliable and off road capable than a range and land rover..... rofl
Land Rover is the company
lol suure
The only way there not reliable is if you can't afford to replace that needs to be replaced before it breaks, there's 16 cooling hoses, if you replace 1 at a time? It's a domino effect.. You will replace 1 hose once a month, there not unreliable there's just too many things that could go wrong.
+Alex G yeah but who knows these days
Martin Pulido JR So you are admitting they are very unreliable. Nice :)
P.S. You do realize that is not normal right?
Dam it, my idea of going to Moab to outrun the cops in my jeep has been destroyed.
lmao they can just follow you
Style, class, airconditioning.
I love this guy. I hope to see him on the trail some day!
FORD Crown Victoria! the best car ever made by anybody! LOVE YOU FORD!
I did quite a bit of wheeling, including crawling, in a stock '89 carolla, and I didn't beat it up - it was my daily driver. Personally, i think it's great training, and teaches you to pick a good line. The best was a few rare chances to pull out stuck trucks (awesome way for me to impress a date at the time).
Brilliant... Took my "olds" car (holden special) around the motocross track and up the steepest hill on the track when I was a teenager. Far out couldn't believe it made it round...
Part of what makes this work is the incredible weight transfer (from front to back) helping to press the rear wheels down. He'd have no luck backing up, whereas a FWD car would do better to back up this hill. Still impressive, no matter how you look at it.
My great grandfather used his Ford LTD as his farm truck. He would fill it up with chickens. According to my late father great grandfather would only buy LTDs.
Love crown Vic police package. But wish they make more of them 👑
I love watching hill climbing videos whenever one dude just shows up and casually drives up the thing in a single attempt like it's just a regular paved road.
Duuuuuude, MOAB! Brah.
I see you watch RCR?
CosmicPentastar WHAt? Are you NUTS....,Mr patBenatar !?
I swear I said "who needs a Jeep?" two seconds before it came on the screen lol
U see that black stuff on the clay its like asphalt it is all the rubber from the old ”expierenced” tires
That's why he made it
I'd probably choose rubber on sandpaper over rubber on rubber for traction
Years ago I worked in the orange groves. Some of the foremen were complaining that they needed bigger tires on their truck to cope with the sugar sand. The CEO of the company just laughed at them. He drove a Ford LTD all over the groves and I only heard about him getting stuck once.
Ok, that was cool! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face.
Too powerful, a true heroic car!
i used to take my 86 vw cabriolet rabbit places where jeep guys would just look stunned. hill climbs, slate dumps, across creeks.😂🍻
I think this is one of the greatest videos I have ever seen.
The Crown Victoria is one of the best cars ever made.
I mean, it's basically a Ford F-150, with a sedan body on it.
Probably built more stoutly than any Mopar/AMC/Stellantis product made since the 60's, with the exception of the Ram 2500+3500+ etc.
That is the smoothest riding jeep out there
The crown Victoria is an underrated car
It takes an eccentric character to do that and pull it off!
Well, ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get to the best bike trails!
Two thumbs up!!
Who cares if he flips the car by itself, but that is a $4-5,000 dollar bike on the back.
Idk if you're joking or for real
TMSH90 Google search specialized downhill mountain bikes and see for yourself. It definitely is worth more than the car lol.
TMSH90 the brand of bike is "specialized" - worth quite a bit of money tbh
lol I thought he was exaggerating ok then thx
Specialized Enduro
its that 4.6l v8 that ford makes, amazing engine
Moab "slick rock" traction is crazy.
When it does the Rubicon trail I may consider it.
Cleetus watches this while breathing heavy. 😂😂
this video should go right to ford to convince them that the vic is awesome and needs to comeback!!!
Mulder and Scully car, loved it since the mid 90'ties :oD
This is dope in 2024 and will be forever
Just ran that it's baby's lions back I was thinking of this video laughing it's Boss !!
AHHHHH the mighty crown victoria!! 👌 Still number #1👑🏆
I love mine..
When I heard the transmission whining as soon as the video started I knew it was going to be good.
looks like he has the tires aired down a bit. he knows what hes doing
Dude in his $1000 Crown Vic, getting up those hills just as well as the people in their expensive Wranglers😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
First gen crown vic. That's so cool.
I can understand how someone who's never driven up baby lions back would think this is impressive. It's about as difficult as driving up a steep bridge. So although this video is impressive to someone who's never been there or done that, you and I both know it's not that hard to do. Drive it up Hells Gate or run the Fins and Things course and I'll be impressed. I did all that in a $3000 Jeep, not to mention several mountain passes in Colorado and Utah.
Not impressed. This guy is impressive.
@1982Roughneck: The largest factory engine in the Vic's were the 4.6. Even in the P71's.
Tire selection is a wonderful thing
Looked like a pair of bald street tires.
***** nbgBNnEdhhs
Agnus Rodrigues Jansen The fuck is that gibberish?
***** He's having a stroke - call 911
ossimjew bald tires actually work best on that slick rock.
That traction control is a great thing Grand Marquis and Crown Victorias Lincoln Town Cars or another great thing that's why you see them everywhere they are the bomb!!!
@rockharz666 i thought about it... he is smart... uphill with the crown vic and down with the bike!!! he is a genius lol :P
The "posi track" works almost the exact same way as the "trac lok" Ford limited slip. And the car in the video doesn't even have an AOD.
Limited-slip differential can do things few expect. Had that in a 1990 Mazda 3 hatchback (5-speed front-wheel drive and standard tires) I would take gold prospecting and go up and down dirt roads with ruts over a foot deep (in dry weather). 4x4s would look at me with definite disdain as I tiptoed along, keeping one or the other drive wheel on top of the high spots and seldom touching the floor pan.
Amazing I was just talking to somebody about this couldn't remember how long ago it was that I saw it...... we were talking about back in the day cops used to be able to chase you everywhere with the two wheel drive car😅
That Specialized mountain bike is worth more than the car
Your*
Posi-Trac is just another name for limited slip diff. And If I recall correctly, the '95 had about 260 to the rear wheels. That's a hell of a lot of torque. Not to mention it makes peak torque at about 2000-3000 RPM and holds it almost to the redline. And the Ford trannys of that time period are bullet-proof, and can hold its own against a lot newer transmissions. Ive got about 300,000 miles on mine and its still immaculate.
The last true american sedan. Impressive
When I saw the goatee, the hat, and the bike rack that all looked like they’ve seen some shit, I had zero doubt.
lol. He probably won a bet or two with the local "hardcore" rock crawlers too. " You guys got nothin'. I'll bet you 50 bucks I can do it with my car. I'll even leave my bike on the back. "
Proof you ain't need no stinky 4 wheeler to go to moab....LOL!!!!
@AlderetteCustoms On the other hand, sometimes things are assumed hard until somebody tries something different and everyone can see the actual physics that are going on. You're right an old weak car may not make it but that's a far cry than an SUV with advanced capabilities that many would think necessary. Example: some driveways in San Francisco are similar to this climb, with various surface but more tire residue. Some are even steeper. Average cars climb them every day. Residue can also help
That's not rock crawling lol. He drove over a smooth large rock.
that resembles just a road hill
it's a joke you dumb fuck
Try it in your Prius then
butthurt because ur chevy couldn't do it?
Oh like the ones that happened 3 weeks before you claimed to land under them haha what a joke.
Better than a Tesla CyberStuck
that guy just dissed all off-road vehicles
I just ordered my Crown Victoria Police interceptor on ebay and it will arrive here in a couple of days. Can't wait for all the fun I will have with it. I will own it until the engine gives up the ghost which I hope will be no less than 500K. Even then, I just might consider keeping it and installing a diesel engine in it! :)
the Crown vic was main TAXI CAB for NYC! surely it is capable for this piece of Rock :)
Nice looks like he had a nice eaton or possibly heavy duty limited slip differential.
Not surprised. Slickrock is very grippy.
Son of a bastard made it!! I'm guessing he wasn't too worried about a few extra dents and scratches on the underside.
I used to do weird stuff like that with my old Pinto wagon. Friends with jeeps would show up thinking they just had a tricky run and there I'd sit with my Pinto..... couldn't kill those things.
I was so afraid this would be somebody I know it's not but it could be😂
Crown Vic's where awesome cars with a full tank of gas and snow tires would never get stuck in the snow. i would imagine he did the same or had some weight in the trunk.
Nice angles on the Crown Vic.
i used to have that exact car, and i drove it up semi arrid dessert hills all the time! i figured go till it spins and than back down, never spun! vics go anywhere with enough speed.
Actually, I was seeing a Jeep video and feeling awestruck and then CZcams suggested me this 😂
Nice and glad you didn't damage the bike dude lol. This would make a good cop video. You can run in a Jeep ! but we still trail your ass with Ford !
And people brag because their jeep went up it
Ford RS echo echo echo echo echo echo echo
Thats a 96 vrown vic
Nice
I love seeing things that shouldn't do things doing those things :)
Car and bike are equally priced now. The ceasing of production of the Vic, and the collectability of it have raped the used price. They are now $2k to $3k.
Let’s be honest, he made it up this but there’s ALOT of sections this thing will get stuck. Lol but still cool to see.
Not sure if this is the same guy we saw, but while we were wheeling on the "Devil's Revenge" trail in Moab back in April 2011, we saw a Crown Vic driving up and down parts of the trail. Shocked to say the least. lol.
Exactly. I go offroading in a stock pickup with knobby tires on it and i can do anything these guys can do
I was born in Farmington, New Mexico. I could probably do this with my 1978 Chevy class C RV with a 400 small block. Just not gonna risk my life for it. Let's go SCUBA diving or something where we see new worlds. "I went up a hill and came back down!" Ummm...cool. I grew up with that. Go slow, have good brakes, and low tire pressure. Not really that impressive. IMO. But if it is what you like, rock on. 🤘
you couldve just said "lame, i could do this in my 43 year old RV" instead of typing up that word salad
once again, its not so much the car but the driver that counts!
Good tires and suspension help out a lot, but they do not replace good driving. I took an old pontiac 6000 wagon down a atv trail a couple times.
That mountain bike is worth more than the car LoL
