I had -5.5 spherical and -1.5 cylindrical power in both eyes. I had my Trans PRK surgery done in Dec 2021, this is one of the best decisions I have taken in my life. I agree with what the doctor has said in the video. There was pain in the initial 3-4 days but it was not unbearable. After the hard lens was removed, there was no pain and my sight took 1-2 months to become 20/20.
I was going back and forth while I was considering this surgery but let me tell you guys, It is worth the time, effort, and pain. After 1 year of surgery, I have a perfectly healthy vision! :)

Hi, my brother has Keratoconus in one eye. I do not have any symptoms of keratoconus but I was adviced to go for PRK correction to remove my power because I might inherit the condition on later stage. Can PRK correction prevent chances of me getting keratoconus in future ?
This is super late so you may have gotten an answer, but it won't prevent it. I am going in for PRK in 4 days, and have a history in my family. What my doctor told me was that PRK is being used it is less aggressive than traditional LASIK, and since Keratoconus is a thinning of that part of the eye, the less aggressive way would be better should I start to develop it in the future. I was told that had I not told them we had a family history of it, they likely wouldn't have even thought it.

People need to know the truth. The first 48 hours is like having acid poured in yoir eyes . Its unbearable . I thought something must have gone wrong its that painful. I'm 2 weeks in and close vision is still very blurry. I really hope it gets better soon . Been told it can take months

एक चीज जो अभी तक समझ नही आई. During my Lasik surgery what i see that, all the 8-10 doctors in mine unit जो मेरी surgery कर रहे थे सभी ने specs लगा रखे थे... अगर ये इतनी अच्छी चीज है तो वो doctors खुद क्यों नही कराते... ये एक ऐसा सवाल है जिसका अब तक सटिक जवाब नही दिया किसी ने।।
लेकिन खुद की surgery कराने के बाद मेरा मानना है कि जिसका number कम है like me वो surgery na ही कराए तो बेहतर है। agr job के लिए कराना है तो वो एक अलग बात है।

Probably. My wife's vision is - 7 and her cornea is thin. Her eyes in perfect health other then that. So because of the cornea thickness the Dr's decided after checking all the test that prk was the way to go about it. So tomorrow is surgery from the LASIK institute in Houston tx

No.. PRK requires 2week to 3 months for vision to correct after surgery. My right eye went with LASIK & Left eye with PRK. It's been 2 months.. PRK Operated left eye is still blurry in comparison with LASIK. I wonder when both the eyes able to coordinate and achieve same vision clarity

The prk from the many I know who have had it say even when they follow exactly doctor orders it is extremely painful. I don’t know why they don’t tell you it is painful. It is!! As a veteran who has been through intense pain more than the average person. I could barely tolerate it. Mainly how constant uncomfortable it is. I’d rather be shot again or stabbed.
I have done my PRK on date 28th march ,2024. Today is my 6th day after surgery. First 2 days was miserable, my eyes won't stop watering and can't open my eyes for 1 minute. On 3rd day it become little clear and light sensitivity dismissed slowly.. on 6 day the vision is not clear yet but hope it will see clear soon. waiting for my clear vision 😊😊😊😊.. I have myopia of minus 6 and 8.

I had my prk 13 days ago. The first day was hell a pain, couldn't open my eyes at all. they removed my bandage lens 3 days after surgery and The vision is still blurry, but hoping it will clear soon.

@@stevesulejman2782 ohh. I got my icl surgery done in Feb this year. I had a residual refractive error of -1.25 and -0.75 cyl. I just got my PRK done to get rid of that. So I guess if your power increases to -1 cyl, then you can go ahead with an enhancement prk procedure.

2:45 I don't agree with the statement sir at least in my case. With respect :) After even 1 week vision is blurry and It's my 4th week, my left eye sees 100% clear but my right eye is still hazey and th le difference is easily noticeable ... I hope it gets well

I had my monthly follow up at Hospital yesterday .
They said my vision is 6/6 in both eyes. I personally feel a very little haze in right eye.
They said it will go away as time passes. And now I have to use only one eye drop by the name Systane Ultra 3 times a day for 3 months.

Hi. Can anyone give me any advice from its own experience... I'm on my 20th day after fetmolasik... had -5 on both eyes and 0.75 cylinder. My left eye, the dominant one is clear for far (of course not as clear as when I used the glasses), but not that much for near, while my right eye is clear for near, but too blurry for far and I think there's a problem in my right eye. On my check up one week after lasik, the doctor said that the flap on my right eye had a little wrinkle... he waited another week to see if the eye and the wrinkle will heal itself, but that did not happen, so he had to retouch it himself.. he just used somthing like a cottobud to flatten the wrinkle... I'm now 3 days after this procedure, but the eyesight hasen't changed a little bit. Should I go and consult another doctor?? Thank you in advance.

I had prk 3 months ago I cannot see up close or far away. The dr keeps telling me it will get better but it’s been really hard cause. Oh I have to wear cheater glasses at all times so I can function. My one eye is irritated all the time. The eye that was a -9. My other eye had had lasik 20 years ago so it wasn’t as bad. Do you think my eyesight is going to improve? It’s so disappointing. I am 50 yrs old. I am scared I am going to need another surgery. It was painful.

don't go for prk as it takes more time than expected. it's almost a month and still i didn't got my 100% vision while left one is at 80% and right one is at 60%

I had PRK done on Aug 19…and I still have a contact bandage on my eye now 10 days later. The doctors have changed my bandage 2 times and said my eye is not healed enough yet. Today I am going in for a 3rd time to check my eye. My vision has been much worse since the PRK. I am very worried. This PRK was done because my Synergy lens implant on Aug 4th 2021 did not correct my vision in my left eye. The Synergy lens worked for right eye but made my left eye worse than before the lens implant. So the dr is trying to correct my left eye with the PRK but I am very worried because now it’s not healing and my vision never improved but worsened instead. I've done with prk+cxl procedure, and my dr said that the lens should be in our eyes just for 1 week, it can't be more than that..

@@Matt-cw1mv my vision fluctuates from day to day and from moment to moment…it’s very strange. My reading vision is worse since the PRK, which is very upsetting because it was suppose to correct my vision, not make it worse. The only vision that seems to be ok is my medium distance…like for watching TV. And night vision is not good at all…I will not drive anywhere far from my home at night. I only drive where I am extremely familiar because I cannot see well. If it’s night time and raining, I will not drive at all. The PRK seems to have only changed the blurry vision but not correct it. It used to be a wavy blur but not it’s a straight blur. And my peripheral vision is very bad. It’s been a nightmare of a year since getting the Synergy lens implant. I think I will just have to live with my bad vision for the rest of my life…it’s very upsetting.
I have done so called safest procedure smile before 10 months, still my vision is blurry, still having dry eyes,
For everyone better avoid any refractive surgery, stay with glass and contact lens😢
Bro you can't use glasses after surgery because of fluctuate vision,is it correct?

Right eye still blurry...
I can read using my left eye..
I told my doctor he said dryness play a role...

Apka cornea thickness kitna tha .pleae bata sakte ho..
Can't remember, may be 400 ? But he told me that my cornea thicknesses is not suitable for Lasik@@priyankadeshmukh9515
