Yep, this. I only buy games at least a month after launch, and after checking out the technical state the game is in, and reviews. For the past few years, the only game I ever bought under 1 month (3 weeks after release) was Elden Ring.

All of these titles prior to Battlefront are _still_ broken, years later.
The Tomb Raider Classic Trilogy is probably the most complete and functional Re-release they've ever done without any help from other studios.

You are failing to mention all the good ports they did like Jedi Academy and Dark Forces, which are great. Also I didn't see any big problems with Kotor 1 and Kotor 2? (In case of Kotor2 any problems that weren't in the other releases without the restored content mod)
So its been recently discovered that a veteran Battlefront modder has seemingly uncovered MORE evidence that Aspyre used their work and didn't give them any credit.
If a creator of a tv-show, based on a game IP, does not put the fans first, its a HUGE red flag.

Fallout is a different concept then many of the others. Halo, Witcher, Warcraft where about specific characters and stories. Fallout is essentially a world, not a character. So as long as they stick with the rules of the world they can essentially tell any story they want within that world.
Now the second point and Im shocked AJ and Alex keep poking this bear. The, "woke" concerns, those that Joe likes to take shots at that, "echochamber" as he calls it. Well, their prediction percentage at calling garbage is alot higher then Joes. Im going to watch the show and hope its good, but WHY is the protagonist female? Is she a well written character that we will love or another studio checking boxes and virtue signaling. WE at this point have every right to be skeptical of these things. Hollywood did this to themselves, not a pocket of small CZcams channel.

I'd prefer the Fallout TV series' tone to be more in line with the OG Fallout games, with the grim and gritty tone and where the world is fucked up.
The "Fallout humor" started happening only after when Bethesda bought the franchise and they started to make the Fallout universe more merrier.
It's not a bad thing, but I still think that the tone from the OG Fallout games fits this universe better, because it is post-apocalyptic universe after all and not some merry-go-land.

From what I've been reading about the Embracer/Saber split, both 4A Games and Zen Studios were offered as options to purchase which Saber did buy or is intending to buy later (information is kinda contradictory right now) which would make the deal shoot up to $500 million dollars. The main caveat is that the Metro license is staying with Plaion and Embracer Group soooooo, loosing the license to a beloved IP while also leaving a sinking ship seems like a deal worth making. Oh, and leaving Aspyr behind seems very worth it in the end.

VR just isn't there yet. Barring some sort of breakthrough, it'll be like 5 more years until the technology truly is good enough for longterm retention
I'm mesmerized every time I put a headset on however, I can't spend longer than a half hour before debilitating headaches/eyeaches set in. Because of this I get a disgusted feeling any time I merely glance at my headset. So it's pretty rare that I actually put it on.

You can't just say "he played the games" when it comes to Fallout. Which games did he play? Because the Fallout community mostly agrees that Fallout 3, 4 and 76 had VERY poor stories to tell compared to the west coast games. If this director only played Bethesda Fallouts, the story will not be good and him being vague about this fact is very scary to me. He either only played Fallout 3 or he is talking out of his ass. Either way, I am still very skeptical about this show after Halo and Avatar.

fallout 1, 2 & fallout new vegas is the only fallout stories that feels canon to me, because they were made by the original fallout devs, and fnv had the best overall writing quality among all fallout games despite its flaws in gameplay and such. courier 6 is the best fallout protagonist ever. elite riot gear armor trenchcoat is much cooler than brotherhood/enclave power armors.

AI cannot make a product like a video game where very thing has to be intentional, tested and planned.
We most likely will never see ai make a video games until it gets full consciousness and awareness which would be extremely hard to archive.
As we don't know barely about consciousness and how it works so generating human level consciousness with code is very hard to do.

You have to playtest your game in development, understand what is fun, have feel for the in world physics/controls and put yourself in the shoes of the user. how does a non conscious piece of code do that?

Alex, you didn't read the article about saber interactive. It is a new studio/publisher by the co-founder of saber interactive. They said in that main article, that there are options to also purchase 4A games among a few other studios. Which Karch (the co founder of saber and the head of the new studio) did say they plan on purchasing the additional studios and IP's.

I watched a video on Battlefront Classic Collection with a video showing that the Xbox backwards compatibility updated Battlefront 2 with Kit Fisto and Asanji Ventress
The Banshees of Inisherin felt like it was written by AI. NEVER have I been so angry that I finished a movie just to see if ANYTHING significant happened.
You know, it's going to be hilarious when the Fallout show comes out and Joe and ends up hating it because for all the reasons everyone said, but he'll never admit he was wrong or try to half-ass it and downplay how awful it is. And just because some person on the team says they're big fans of the game doesn't mean everything. Paul W.S. Anderson said he was a huge fan of Resident Evil and played every game religiously, but can anyone honestly say those live action movies were anything but utter dogshit?

The problem isn’t the Cantina Band playing on Dagobah itself, it’s that the Heroes vs Villains mode has a unique set of iconic songs that play during the mode including the Jabbas Palace band, the other Cantina Band song, and the original Ewok celebration song. So the Cantina Band song is meant to play on maps like Dagobah on that mode, just not constantly looping over and over even when the music is turned off in the settings.

Here’s a possible betrayal of the Fallout lore: the Vaults weren’t intended as experiments by Vault-Tec and instead they just wanted to save as many people as possible.
EDIT: I should note I was just offering a hypothetical scenario. I have no idea how the Vaults will be portrayed in the show.
I can see atleast one with a crazy overseer with a different idea which has happened in the games. But still, yeah all vaults were intended to save humanity.
My assumption that this is more focused on a specific vault that we probably don't know about... Idk I'm just trying to give the benefit of the doubt here.

Cannonically the vaults were just to save people from the great war in the original fallout (1 and 2) with some very grim dark undertones almost kinda there if you really look.
Bethesda was the ones who retconned into the lore in fallout 3 that vaults were made to protect humanity from the atomic bombs but they all had some experiment attached that differs from vault to vault and considering that this was one of the few retcons that everyone praises Bethesda for and it shows up in every game after,it gonna appear in the TV show

But the price vs how often I would use it, or the games I want to play it on that's not many to make it worth it overall atm. And that's the same idea many I know have as it's the same price as a PS5. About $692 converted to US. PS5 is about $700 ish here "Norway". It sold out instantly here, but it did not take long before supplies were overstocked again. That Horizon VR bundle boxes are on display everywhere still.
