Wrecking yard day

It's Sunday and I'm bored, so it's time to hit the wrecking yards. I am looking for a 4L80E or preferably, a 4L85E transmission for my 88 Dually. I have a running list in my head of things to look for while I'm there too. Oh, and I know...I really need to organize my garage, LOL.

We always grab those junction blocks. I hate having 5 wires going into my battery terminal.

That old 89 Chevy still had the factory computer which was surprising so when I went back out there I snagged it too...it's good to have spare things that you can't buy anymore. It also had a decent instrument cluster which, around here, is rare to find so I grabbed it...a bonus with that instrument cluster is it had the overdrive gear selector range and since I'm swapping an overdrive into my rig, this was a nice find.

I’m parting out a 92 and I have a seat in much better shape then that. Come visit in idaho

I think I have everything I need for my truck now. I found an almost flawless red bench seat and I installed it and it fits perfectly. I also snagged an ECM from the 89 Chevy I found out there. My 88 has a 454 and a TH400. I plan on upgrading the trans to a 4L80E so I can drive on the freeway and keep up with traffic without doing over 3000 RPM, lol. Not sure what else I really need
