Metagross has two absolutely fantastic offensive abilities, with Gyro Ball having great skirmish and sustain potential, while Meteor Mash can outright one-shot most Attackers. Both of its mobility abilities are strong too, with Zen Headbutt easily able to pick enemies on the backline while Magnet Rise again reinforces its skirmishing game.
Unfortunately, its Unite still leaves a lot to be desired. It's tendency to be cancelled from numerous CC effects, as well as the wall being more of a detriment to your own health than the enemies sometimes, means its often relegated to just cleaning up kills from enemy 'mons that get away from you.
This and against miraidon it was useless because of it's lack of range
Lol it's not get cancelled due to cc...It requires minimum 3 players to activate the unite

Metagross is my favourite Pokemon from the hoen region. I really love that shield effects meta gets from the offensive moves while from the mobility side I only use magnet rise since zen headbutt is a bit harder to aim

I think a big problem is you need to both stack and play safe early, so if you have a lane partner that doesn't play right, it can really mess everything up. Jungling isn't so bad but it's a bit slow til you get magnetic rise.
Seeing clef with a low wr in the thumbnail dose not make me happy since they might getting the bad idea of buffing it again....
Just enjoy it for as long as it lasts

Gravity is not busted after the nerfs, so follow me may be better.
Gravity still is super strong, maybe broken. The nerfs hardly did much, it gained 1s more cd, not that big of a deal.

After the scizor and gyarados buffs i havent seen a single metagross in ranked.

By far I’d say metagross is one of the best all rounders in the game rn. I’d take a good metagross on my team any day. And considering its damage and sustain, if you’re losing on meta, that’s just on you
i really like metagross because even without stacks this thing do huge dmg but everytime i play it i stomp the game and when rayquaza spawn im 1vs4 and loose like this
Venusaur is one of the best too, can‘t imagine they are so low
That Zoroark was way too careful. They could've killed you or your team multiple times but didn't go for it.
It's one of my biggest carry this season but honestly I think it's a very simple Pokémon like venusaur to me atleast, it is simple but yeah this game is weird afterall
One thing I do dislike about metagross is the unite move, it just feels like a worse mean look with the walls up lol

Tbh Metagross desparately needs levels to truly be 'good'. In a meta fully of level 4 power spikes that dominate the entire game and never fall off, can you truly say this champ is meta?
Metagross also receives 0 competitive play.
That and micro stuns from sure hit moves can cripple Metagross.

Venusaur is a tier so is clef
It is a skill issue, which is why I personally do well with assasins (speedsters) and tanks (defenders) but not brawlers/skirmishers (allrounders) like Metagross. Generally I do well soaking damage and CC'ing carries with tanks or picking off back liners with assasins, but brawlers have a fine line of being able to receive dmg but not enough and doing good dmg but not one shoting in a single combo without using a unite. Therefor I can think that players rps is being too conservative and not engaging for kills or over steping in a tf and dying early, and because of that the winrate suffers even though Metagross has the tools to survive and pickoff the enemy carry. These would be my 2 cents on the matter.
So. We got Glaceon, Leafeon, Venusaur, Metagross all being low win rates but being great pokemon. Who else?
Idk how people lose on the leaf it can literally kill anything in the game with aerial ace razor leaf only time I’m losing as leafeon is in an actual 1v9 or a mirror match
It’s hard to play so I choose not to play. There’s just other pokemon that feel more fun and better for me. I know if I was better I’d feel differently
Try meta unite + meowscarda unite + gardevoir unite guys. U can easily kill any dominating Opponents with this combo

It is tooooo strong sometimes but his Unite is bad just bad man
People just want use pokemon that arw easy to use people use mewtwo y much more than X because mewtwo Y battle is ranged style while mewtwo X is Physical which has more risk than Y people are using charge beam on miraidon more than electro drift when drift is more powerful than beam😅
Definitely skill issue, the mon is strong still but the only draw back is lvl 9. Then there is Gyrados who literally can get strong at 4-7 depending pn the early game. Honestly similar to t-tar in that sense. But the 9 is worth it, for both. So yeah...skill issue

@@clacktloc5816 in my opinion they should either nerf Mewtwo and miraidon to the ground or just make ex Pokemon some event bosses because having a Pokemon on your team that can outright act as a whole team is way too broken
Miraidon is still too op cuz in ranked it can still totally dominate lanes from the start and also it has such insane damage that it's not even fair. Also it can stay so far away that in duos and trios with someone to block ur mons from reaching miraidon basically gives it free damage
Mewtwo, both of them, are still very strong too (mainly y) and playing an attacker into a lane with Mewtwo is horrendous because it can stay so freaking far away and rain down auto attacks while the defender is blocking the path

Only time uniteapi is kinda inaccurate is at the first week of ranked season,
besides that it's still the data of the last 50 matches from top9999 players (including the match data of the other 9 players)
I just expect the main reasoning of these Pokémon with the winrate so now is now just a skill issue. I won’t say otherwise unless it’s like a Scizor situation where the pokemon is simply unplayable and undertuned. (Day 1 Scizor was actually the worst unanimously)
I’m sad I missed the day one scyther games when he was bugged and got double resets every kill
Man have you seen top win rate pokemons, I would say the real win rates are 0.5-1% up. The EX problem should be resolved soon, they should limit 1 per team or ban them again.
Definitely skills, I get my ass whooped every time I try Metagross haha Usually rely on team to have an okay match or if the enemy is as bad as a bot

It's the sure hit move like Icicle spear or Stored power that can deter brawler.
Remember that this is the same playerbase that made Mewtwo x the lowest win rate pokemon for weeks.

Metagross damn near gets outclassed by every all arounder and it’s unite move isn’t the best.
bandwagon players are certainly an issue , gyro ball not one-tapping anymore is apparently not worthy of play to them

Metagross when buffed was great in solo q but after the nerf,,,,, its kinda dead it is like the same pokemon when he was released very weak 🤔🤔

Fr it is a skill issue. I bought him like a week ago and every time I choose him, it’s an MVP stomp.
Maybe it’s because too many people are used to auto aiming at the nearest enemy instead of going for the right target 😹
