I always find looking for photocards to be the hardest part of trading/selling from insta because the search bar on the app is so inefficient for this lol
That definitely can be difficult! Especially when you’re looking for one specific card. I don’t have a lot of advice for that I just spend a lot of time scrolling LOL

Ikk!! There’s this one card I need to complete my thing and not only is it harder to find pcs from that album (it’s the album before the current era so most posts are for the current era) and then when it is the right album, it’s usually other members, and when I find the right member too, it’s the one I already have or the one I need is sold lol
I also see some of the posts as just random posts I remember one time someone posted a selfie of themselves but used like as many tags as possible so it showed up for me lol

My only issue with becoming a new trader is I tried it once a few months ago. She had plenty of proofs, I sent mine first because I only had one or two. And a week later after not hearing from her, I found out that she had blocked me. I checked the tracking number and it ended up to be that she received it, and then blocked me with no contact. Now I'm just too scared to try again even though I really want to collect again
I did eBay first selling my cards to build up my own proofs that I am not a complete scammer. You should expose her.
about the envelopes, you can use a small brush, dip it in water (but like with not too much water) and go through the sticky part and it'll be just fine, that's what i do, it works just fine 💪🏻

I definitely feel like twitter is more popular in Asia than Instagram. Both are great I just prefer instagram messages compared to twitter!

Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! I have been using my main Instagram account for some past GOs and purchases when I wasn't as serious about collecting. This video has been super helpful as I'm creating my selling/trading account.
Oh it's interesting seeing how you sort your dms in primary and general. Personally I keep anyone I'm actively selling to (I barely trade nowadays) in primary and everyone else in general and then once the buyers have sent story/ dm proof that it's arrived then I'll move them to general. That helps me keep track and make sure nothing I've sold has gotten lost. If I've had a bad experience with anyone I usually just restrict or block their account lol - I do the same with people I see scam/ dwayor posts about (I usually prefer restricting because then you'll still see follow up posts about them etc.)

I’m so glad it was helpful! I use the app Photoscape X (it’s the same app I use for thumbnails and editing Instagram photos). Also a lot of people follow eachother while they’re trading, so that’s a good way to gain followers!

Ahh I’m so so glad you found it helpful!! Also I use a PO Box so it’s not my actual address. But I don’t know how other people feel. Tbh I started using a P.O. Box when I was in college and our mail rooms would close over breaks and mail would stop and I’ve just always preferred it tbh!

Hi! I know i am commenting here pretty late as this video was posted a few months ago lol. Great video!! Very helpful :) I have a few quick questions in regards to shipping. When people say stamped mail, does that mean the cards are sent using just regular stamps? Or do people tend to use the non-machinable stamps? My main worry about starting up with trading and selling is shipping in a way that best ensures the card getting there safely!

pretty late but whatever: i dont really know what you mean by non-machinable stamps but when people say stamped shipping they mean standard shipping according to the measurements and weight of the envelope! the thicker the envelope the pricier it gets and smaller envelopes are obviously cheaper to send than large/tall ones so stamped just refers to the standard shipping method. it basically just means no extra stuff like tracked or something, just regular mail :) some people prefer to buy stuff with tracked shipping, others dont care and just want it to be as cheap as possible

@@HannahBanana-xq5gb hey there :) both of you just pay the shipping for your part of the trade. you dont have to pay the other person for sending their card to you because you are also sending a card to them that you pay the shipping for. trading is mutual, both parties send a card in order to receive a card, so both parties have to pay shipping for the card they send out. :)
there might be cases where you want to trade cards that arent equal value or you trade for a card and also buy a card from the same person, its possible that you might have to pay the shipping for both but like thats something that you guys gotta figure out yourselves. :)

I think they r templates that you can search up if thats what you mean. Just type in "(member name) pc template".
They're clowning you when i package the same way. I'm right handed and prepackage in order to streamline. which means putting it on the left side so I can write on the right hand side without issue.

I find that asking for their shipping address is kind of creepy but I don't know how to get people to trust me to give me their shipping address so I can send out the card to them. I have an account set up and have traded using stamped shipping. My issue is trying to do tracked shipping. I would love to try using tracked shipping for trades and sales but idk how to start. What would you recommend for trying tracked shipping?
I use ship station! It’s an extension of PayPal and it’s super easy to use. I use it for all of my group orders!

Most people use their Instagram and twitters for both selling and trading putting WTT/NFS (want to trade/ not for sale) or vice versa tells someone you want to trade something but not sell it. Also no you don’t pay for shipping for trading

You'll get some slowly. It will be slow at first but you'll get more and more as time goes on. Just as you get proofs post them as both stories and do highlights and maybe even regular posts so people can see you're trustworthy
I have a very quick random question. I am collecting Jay from enhypen and there’s a seller on Instagram and I want to buy like 12 cards from them. Anyways my question is: Is it rude or bad to buy lots of cards???? I mean I’m paying for them so it shouldn’t matter but I just wanted to ask cuz it’s my first time and Idk if there is some type of Photocard etiquette I have to follow 😂
I regularly bulk buy and i dont think that sellers have a problem with it. Just be aware that shipping will be more expensive bc the packaging will be bigger.

hi i know this is very unrelated to your video but im hoping you can join us in boycotting loona's next comeback. i've seen your loona unboxing videos before that's why i thought its a good idea to reach out to you about this. all 12 girls haven't been paid at all since debut. after chuu was kicked out from the group, the 9 other members filed an injunction against bbc. its also obvious with hyunjin's fab messages and the other members' silence abt the cb teaser and anything loona-related that they rlly dont wanna do this cb anymore and wants to be set free from the company so it would really be a big help if you join us bcs we all know that the sales from the physical albums and musical platform streams will only go to bbc and can help them find a better lawyer against the 9 loona members.
I actually don’t collect Loona anymore but I do agree with the upcoming boycott. I don’t plan on supporting this upcoming comeback in any way. But I really hope the girls can get out of that company soon 😭 they truly deserve the world and I hate what that company has done to them
For those who sell pc’s is it worth it? Bc albums are usually between $20-30 I’ve seen people selling the albums separately from the pc’s to get rid of them and make more profit. It’s like a whole small business. But are you actually left with more than what you spend?
I usually just buy PCs from Amazon. I've seen 55 piece photocards for only $8. I'm gonna be charging $2 for each pc so that's $110 right there. I haven't started selling yet, but I feel like it's worth it 😅

Do people ever get funny with you about your packaging fee? I started charging a little bit for packaging after I realised how much I spent on it, especially on toploaders especially when they were near impossible to get for ages due to rona and they were hella expensive if you did get some. Yet I've still had people get miffed at me for it..
Tbh I rarely have people question it but when they do they’re usually okay once I explain it. Ive found people would rather pay $0.50 to know their cards are coming safely. I’m sorry people give you a hard time about it 😭
