I used to live 5 minutes from this Waffle House I’m glad to say there is now a beautiful Anthony bourdain mural on the building next door RIP
tear in my eye knowing they did that to honor him.
Rip mr food traveler.
Which one is it???
@@anunripecantaloupe340 Waffle House off of hwy 17
That's Awesome!!!
Wouldn’t be a proper Waffle House experience without the warm glow of police lights outside the window. Anthony was a treasure.
1:48 "I would like both." RIP you beautiful bastard.
Vivaldi was made for a Waffle House soundtrack.
Thank you for telling me who composer is
@@edp3202 Four Seasons - the one playing in the clip is Winter
F*ck yah! No lie, my late BFF and I would rock the Four Seasons, before and after going to Waffle House. We'd be high AF, hanging out there all night long with a friend who worked there. Goods memories. So, i found it extremely fitting and nostalgic. ❤️
adds a touch of class to the meal…🧐
There are cops out front, thats how you know its a good Waffle House
Maybe a body or worse.
Deadass
@@bobofwinnipeg9455 only if somebody tried the chili
Cops out front, cook smoking in the back.
😭
This is why Bourdain was the greatest celebrity chef...he wasn't snobby at all and could appreciate a place like Waffle House.
The first and ONLY time
A Waffle House employee has brought the meal to the table and said “alright Gentlemen”
And we have it on FILM!!!
Thanks Anthony
Feels like we lost a friend. You know, that one you don't see often but when you do you guys pick up right were you left off. That friend who always has the best stories about their adventures that make you WANT to stay and have another drink with them...
R.I.P. friend...
I remember being a freshman in High School. I would always put the TV on the Travel Channel, as I always had a bit of wanderlust. Then I see this graying, leather jacket wearing, chain-smoker who looked more at home on Cowboy Bebop than the Travel Channel. He was walking through these dark rainy alleys, to a seedy little restaurant that was pulled right out of any great crime drama. I watched him eat food that looked so delicious, and hear him talk about it. This wasn't Samantha Brown (whom I also love) at a great hotel in Salzburg, tasting the finest cuisine you'll never afford. This was a great chef, taking you to places where regular people eat. I never had any interest in being a chef, but for the hour you got to travel with the guy, you felt his passion. I'm really going to miss him sharing that with us.
I love the part that you said that he looks more at home on cowboy Bebop this is the best comment ever.
He looks so happy...he was having fun...miss and love u tony!
There will never be a better story teller than Anthony Bourdain. RIP
How awesome is it that we have Bourdain extolling the wonder that is the Waffle House, yet how much does it still hurt that he departed the world so soon?
I love that Vivaldis Four Seasons is the musical overlay.
Best part that makes it totally 2am waffle house. The cops blue lights outside the window. Love S.C. 😂🤣
I cried for Anthony today.
Benji Berigan same here
Best waffle house memory. Stumbling drunk at 3 am to the Waffle House next to campus
Anthony: I want both
My man!
I REALLY MISS Anthony Bourdain !!!!! He was extremely entertaining, and taught so many of his viewers, how to EXPERIENCE so MUCH in life ....... Sad that he is gone .....
Sean Brock: Would you like pork chop or t-bone?
Anthony Bourdain: Yes.
One of the few celeb deaths that truly hurt me. Miss that dude.
As I watch this, I find myself missing three things:
One, late nights at the Waffle House in Denham Springs, Louisiana after work. Those fun, wild nights talking trash about our asshole bosses and brown nosing co workers. And doing a bit of flirting with, and getting flirted by inebriated yet pretty damn hot (and a few lovably ugly) chicks thrown in for good measure.
Two, the south of course. There are no Waffle Houses in sunny California 🙁.
Three, I definitely miss the joy Anthony Bourdain brought to us. Unpretentious and fun to watch. I’ll definitely watch this final season airing on CNN. RIP, Tony.
I never know whether to laugh...or cry, watching these.
The Tasting Menu of Waffle House
Man he was great at at this. His commentary always captured the magic of wherever he was.
How could you NOT have loved that man... Rest in power Tony!
A true American!!
Glad we can still see him and hear his voice.
My wife of 35 years and I frequently go to the Waffle house for an anniversary breakfast. I may have cooked in a Michelin Stared Restaurant when young, the simple food always resonates with us.
Sean saying "Heinz 57 is one of the more complex sauces ever" GOD DAMN RIGHT!!! Missing ya Tony, rest easy my dude
The music at the Waffle House... that's some funny stuff :)
Was stationed in Norfolk Va from 1986-1990 and I loved Waffle House.
Gonna miss this great American!
That’s just like a big tv company to mess up the way Waffle House cooks. The pickle and the mayo go on the plate first. Source:I’m fat.
Your brilliant
Yep. It's how they communicate to the cooks what goes where on each plate. They use jelly and condiments to speed the plating process up. Waffle house is amazing.
Absolutely love this Man !! I miss him 🕊❤️🙏🏽
I love a pecan waffle. So good! RIP To Bourdain. He is so missed.
@0:59 and 1:30 you can see the blue lights from a cop car and that really ties the Waffle House aesthetic together.
I was waiting for you to bust open that Sunnyside eggs yolk on the hash browns and eat it together with a bite of bacon, some buttered toast with a little of that mixed fruit jelly , yummmm!
This was his greatest episode ever!
I really enjoyed listening to Anthony Bourdain, I was so shocked when I learned he took his own life. It shows that no one knows what is going on behind closed doors.
Waffle house with the music from that Chefs table show. 😂
Rest in peace my brother we all miss you
Don't as Anthony Bourdain to make a choice, the man wanted both cuz he was a king.
Is that a police strobe out the window 🤣
Authentic WH ambience.
They’re so baked
No lies detected!!
Even thought I am more of a grilled chicken sandwich guy rather than a Patty Melt guy, I have not ever considered ordering a salad at The Waffle House. Okay, I am a lighter on the syrup.
That grill too clean
Rest Up Anthony
I would like both- A B
Just saying... Nobody orders a t-bone from Waffle House. Everything else is amazing. Hash browns, grilled chicken, country ham, city ham, bacon... But the steak is honestly one of those "I'll miss that on purpose." At least in all the Waffle Houses I've been to in Georgia.
In all my life I've never had a steak from WH...lol always the All Star.
I worked in several in Alabama and Georgia, and those steaks used to sell quickly. That was back when it was between $8-12 for the steak/chop/chicken dinners and they gave people more though. Prices have gotten ridiculous these days and I haven't ordered a steak there in ages.
@@r.h.3084 tone and eggs is 13.50 with tax now.
Yeah, it's really disappointing that they ordered pork chops and t-bone. And that abomination of a salad? They should have stuck to the breakfast. Hash browns, crispy with onion, All-star (pick your meat), and a waffle. Bam, that's the Waffle House experience.
Was there an additive in their colas? Hmmm. What a happy place!
This episode is the reason I - a yankee - discovered and sought out the Waffle House.
oh, thomas keller is here with you all the way.
Waffles
Hash Browns & mini sandwich
Ribs
Salad
i was in panama once and went there and it was only one guy working. then a truck pulls up and like 3 or 4 dudes jump out, run in, and start working . then we got like two meals for $2
2:14 his react ''wtf''
That was hilarious
@@joegangloff477 i know 😂😂😂
Want your mind blown? Next time you're in a Waffle House and order a pecan waffle, ask the server to add jalapenos (not too much and sprinkled evenly) and cook it crispy, then eat it with honey - unbelievably delicious
That's crazy dude
Yeah idk about that one chief
I actually add some red pepper flakes to my waffle mix. Not a lot mind you. The sweetness of the batter, syrup and the pecans blend well with the red pepper flakes!
@@tl5108 Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised - I've changed quite a few opinions after challenging friends to try it - important for it to be crispy, for the peppers to be scattered evenly and to be eaten with honey, not syrup
@hickory_longbow33423 gotta have the pecans, jalapenos and the honey
i was a chili and hashbrowns guy.
I love the Waffle House!!!!
Pork chops and eggs.
Try it.
Give me the HP over the Heinz 57 any day.
0:51 It's not "homogenized vegetable oil, it's "hydrogenated vegetable oil"...
I'm sure you remember everything perfectly after a few drinks too.
Chick fil a 1st started selling their sandwiches at waffle house and ended up out selling the regular food so waffle house kicked them out
Darn right you eat a pecan waffle.
And get your hashbrowns topped if your rim can handle it.
The Waffle House is heaven.
I honestly miss him and Robin like I knew them in real life. 😓💔
Who tf goes to Waffle House for a salad???
#Salad is good for you.
A palette cleanser to allow your tongue some time before you can eat some more goodness
@@joseorozco4152 ^This
amen
Rip Anthony 😕
I love Waffle House
What made Waffle House better than Johnny Rockets? Same frozen pattie.
There’s Definitely not steak or pork chops on the menu here in Kansas City….
I’ve never been to the French Laundry. But I’d bet it was a bit better than a Waffle House. Just a hunch though.
Aren't you fancy!
Depends on what you're looking for. If you want pompous, overcomplicated, status-symbol food, sure, it'd probably be "Better". If you were drunk, and wanted protein, carbs, and a great price-point with friendly and great service, I'd say Waffle House has that snooty place beat by a mile (Or kilometer for you non American types)
@@MikeB128 the beauty of simple and easy diner food. There's nothing in the world like it.
Tony's video about the Laundry is awesome - worth finding
He's right about Heinz steak sauce, it's terrible. I'm willing to bet he was an A1 fan for sure....
^This guy gets it.
Oh, The Awful Waffle, when you're hammered at 3am or even 2pm, they are open and have whatever your munchies crave.
Sorry Anthony, but I miss the Waffle House!
Dude's weezy drunk.
I think Anthony was drunk.
Really? I don't think it takes a head cashier at Wal-Mart to figure that one out...
@@MikeB128 I hear Tarjay is missing an employee #stayinyourlane
Heinz 57 sauce is dreadful.
Waffle House has shit food, but I still love going there. Sue me.
I know what cha mean!
It may not be Applebee's,
but it beats the hell out of macdonalds...
There truly is nothing Anthony won't eat! LOL
These Waffle Houses don't even have real BUTTER on hand! Only margarine. Shameful.
And McDonald’s doesn’t serve champagne. You’ve completely missed the point.
Waffle House sucks!
